Im a fan of De Bruyne. I would rather have him over Witsel. Bruyne has a bigger upside and more versatile.

Didn't he say that Casillas was still the best keeper in the world? Or at least in the top 3 and that De Gea wasn't. Then 5 mins later he said the top 3 keepers and had De Gea up there? It was quite a mental interview.
Something along those lines. I don't know why they talk to him, he is always going to go against anything the present president is doing/

He's no better than Nani, just as frustrating. Why should we spend £30million on him if we could just recall someone of the same quality for nothing?

'You can't buy top quality' is valid because he isn't top quality.

'You can't buy WC' is valid, you can buy top quality, stop kidding yourself that's why chelsea are after him, if he wasn't top quality they wouldn't be going in for him. As for Nani comparisons he's gone and its best that way, Cuadrado has more pace, better in attack and better defensively, all round a better player and a team player with a brain. All wingers who runs at players are frustrating, that's part and parcel of their trait, even Di Maria is frustrating at times...

How do you know this?

Edit: Not doubting you, just curious.

I took it from this part:
Va da sè che per un affare estivo, e siamo a gennaio, non si tratta di un’offerta diretta al club, ma di un messaggio, veicolato attraverso il procuratore.

It's only an interpretation, but i understand that the club didn't made an offer but gave the message to Raiola who gave it to Juventus, yesterday.

Sorry my Italian isn't the sharpest! :p Could the article not be wrong though? Apparently the journo is a proper ITK but La Stampa had a shocker with the Vidial saga.

It wasn't a shocker, the club wanted Vidal, Juventus wanted to sell Vidal but United asked for Vidal medical report (to the Chile doctor) and then refused to make an offer. La Stampa(and other) were right, but they couldn't know what was exactly in Vidal's medical report and they couldn't know that it was bad enough to see United back off.

Didn't they say it was pretty much done and dusted though?

No they said that, it was depending on the medical record, the clubs and the player all agreed on terms, but United wanted more information
And their info came from the chilean n°1 paper. (El Mercurio)

I beleive the title of the actual article suggests Carrick+80million for Pogba...

Cavani ? yet another player that you would ordinarily build your team and tactics around, we have too many of them, whether its Rooney, ADM, Falcao, RVP, Mata, Fellaini or even Adnan, do we get players who can play a system, or do we get players and change the system ?

I don't want him, but if rumours are to be believed, I could see why Van Gaal would. I have no doubt that we'll play 433 next season. As shown for PSG, Cavani can play anywhere across the frontline, which could prove to be an asset, especially given our injury record.

Also, if we get Cavani, I don't expect Falcao to be here, and very much doubt Van Persie will be starting every game.

But, isn't Cavani aiming for a move because he's often played as a winger even though his coach promised that they would go towards a dual striker system at the start of the season? I recall reading something like that at least.

Possibly, but the majority of times he would be playing through the middle. The only time he'd play wide would be due to injuries.

Paying 80 million euros for a kid who we had for feck all basically. I dont like this, I didnt like his attitude and I dont like Raiola the cnut
It would be a risk, if he does well, a couple of years down the line and he will be fluttering his eyelashes at Real.

I think they are interested anyway.

Pogba would be a great addition no doubt, but it would just sting a little to pay so much. It's like United just loaned Pogba to Juve for 3 years and then paid them £61 odd million on top.

Do you think if we were to sign him that we'd sell him to Real without making a huge profit, if he were desperate to leave and his agent was doing his bit? I don't.

SAF made a mistake in judgement. It's over. If we can get him back, we should. Simple.

De Bruyne would make no sense. We need a pacy winger or a CM, he is neither. I would rather we got Cuadrado.

We should create some structure with Real where we buy up top young talent - e.g. de Gea, Pogba, Ronaldo - and bring them to their peak before selling to Real for big fees + getting less shiny toys back - e.g. di Maria, Bale, Modric. Everyone wins!

If we buy him for 80m euros, he would have to become an absolutely fantastic footballer for us to be able to sell him at a profit.

And we officially resign to become a lesser club. Nah. I'd rather we sound out players before signing.

That's laughable for a club your size. Also, Spurs have something like that I believe.

I'd rather you go back to Muppet Island.

This is the type of post that produces vomit in my mouth.
