Come on, bid for him now! Stick down 80M (euros) and lets get him playing against WH.

Ignore it, La Stampa has been a big pile of donkey poo when it comes to us and Juve players. Claimed about 5000 times last summer that Vidal was to be a United player 100% guaranteed. They convinced @Pexbo to the extent that he said he'd never log in again if it didn't happen. Good times.

So the guy in the article is claiming we will make a bid, not that we've made one?

Thats how is translates:

The raffle for Paul Pogba is playing, if after artistic estimates, "counts as a Monet" (Mino Raiola, his agent) and quotations made with algorithms '72 million euro' (Centre for Sports Studies in Neuchatel), yesterday came the first real proposal, Manchester United: 80 million euro to Juve, 9 per season to the player. It goes without saying that for a bargain summer, and we are in January, this is not an offer directly to the club, but a message, conveyed through the prosecutor.

Thanks, sounds very technical. So basically we've supposedly floated to his people and Juve that we'll pay €80M and pay Pogba 140k a week.

Serves the guy right for choosing money over Porto when he moved from Brazil.

Obviously the bit about having offered rejected, not it being "scary" or him being in danger.

 Sounds like a load of nothingness

It's not nothing, clubs don't put offers like that, they discuss about it with the agent and the other club, if we really told them that we were willing to pay 80m and if we already offered Pogba 140k, then it's serious.

The interesting part is that Raiola transmitted the message, which means that he and Pogba are interested.

For all the money that comes into this club off the back of marketing the success of the team on the field over the last 20 years, paying £60 million for a player is absolutely nothing. Its what is expected. We are a commercial juggernaunt, with hundreds of millions in revenue coming through the club via sponsorships, international partnerships, not to mention the live gate of 70-odd thousand each week and all the other full stuff that comes with being the most famous and popular club in the world. One of a limited number of clubs who can make their money back by signing a licensing deal with commercial partner. There's no reason we shouldn't be signing the best players in the world. Man City are in the same area as us. If we showed our financial muscle, they could never compete with us in the transfer market. You dont become a George Best or a Eric Cantona or a Ryan Giggs at City. You become a Shaun Goater or a bloke who was really good who hung around until a better club came in for him. If you have an ego like Cristiano Ronaldo, he'd never put the City shirt on. The guy wants to make money and be the man. You need a club to fit the man. If we have ambition to get this club back where it should be, there's absolutely no reason why we shouldnt be signing Hummels, Godin, Bale, Pogba, Cavani and the likes. Its the only way we'll start willing leagues again. We cant be continuing to sign decent Dutch players and one top player who cant show the for he is capable of because he's played out of position. We need to be signing the best.

Of course he's interested! Think of the percentage!

He talks with other clubs, who gives a lot of money too, like PSG, City or Madrid. If he transmitted the offer it's because we offered him something interesting.

I agree to some extent, since we have to use financial muscle to get back where we want to be. But I am afraid that we will be a team without any kind of soul. For me the players that are left from the Fergie era are incredibly important now. They know everything about what it means to be a player for Man United. We need to preserve what SAF have built, with that I mean how we act as a club for everyone outside the club and how we act as a club inside the club. Even though everyone says that they were shocked when they learned how big United are, we are a club that runs like a big family ( a professional one though ) and I think thats part of the reason for our success.

..Now I may not get there with you.. But I want you all to know, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!

I think the days of big spending is over for clubs like PSG, City, Chelsea, etc. Big signings like Pogba will stand between us and Real Madrid.

It seems that way, we are apparently more decisive now.

 great thread that

Varane and Clyne would be very good buys.

Sergio Diaz has a YouTube vid and a cool name, lets sign him!

Can't we just give Anderson a job as a jovial tour guide and charge people to have him show them the finest pie serving establishments in Manchester?

I have heard that Massimiliano Nerozzi got great connections to Juventus. Could it be anything in this?

Trust me, that guy don't know much.

Its not about trusting you - i disagree with your opinion. There are journos out there who are generally not to be trusted on Utd - Miguel doesnt fall into that category although he is not the authority on all things Utd (nor does he claim to be).
