He wouldn't have got in the team ahead of Rio and Vidic and would probably have Pique'd off somewhere else

Agreed, he would have had as much as a chance of starting as Welbeck starting over Rooney and RVP.

The new pope was announced months before SAF announced his retirement though.

Arnold's quotes are traumatizing. Drugs tests are needed in Manchester United offices.

RVP will be 32 next season and I’d be very surprised if we buy Falcao given the injuries he’s had in his short time here. Rooney isn’t a forward (LVG doesn’t see him as such) that leaves us with young Wilson, who has played roughly 300 professional minutes in his entire career

RVP is kinda off form, Falco is an expensive ever injured loanee, Rooney plays as #10

Oh i didn't saw this that way, i still think that Rooney is an outstanding striker and RVP + Wilson can be enough to cover, if we play with one striker.
But you are probably right.

Levy would rinse us for every last penny and he wouldn't be worth what it'd take for them to accept.

He wants out. Isn't signing a new deal and isn't in the first XI.. Won't cost a crazy amount.
Not sure about the player though.

And we're in a position to be picky how???

Take him!!!!

Take any player that can walk through the doors of Carrington without losing a leg!!

Wonder will we do business with Tottenham? I know Ferguson revealed in his book that he and Gill would no longer deal with Tottenham, van Gaal and Woodword may be different though.

I'd absolutely take Srna as an option and mentor to Rafael. A very good player still at 32.

Not if he starts making the sounds of wanting to leave. I remember last season he said if they don't make top 4, then he wants to leave. I think there's better CB'S out there anyway.

Tottenham players have always made it public knowledge about their desire to leave and they still go for massive prices.

He is nowhere near the quality of a Modric or a Bale. He is being mentioned because he is a half decent player with a left peg. 15m-20m should do it. A healthy profit on the 10m Spurs paid for him.

Personally, do not want him. We need a top-top quality defender.
