Pointless business again from our end, Kagawa left for pennies and Hernandez going on out on loan, the pair are worth £30m easily.

Kagawa has been rank average in the PL so I'm not sure why people still think he's some kind of star. He did well for Dortmund but couldn't step it up when he got his big chance.

Both he and Hernandez are surplus to requirements so where is the clubs bargaining power? Both under performed and have no future at the club. They're better off moved on.

I dunno if we sign Falcao then we can offload RVP, might get a good €6mil for him.

I will be so happy if we sign Falcao, dream come true! Good contingency plan if Rooney keeps the donkey touch for the rest of the season.

What's that? Did I miss something here?
I can't remember what it was but something happened a few years ago, either Falcao applied for something or somehow his birth certificate or something got leaked and his real age is like 3 or 4 years older than his official age. You only have to look at photo's of him to see that he's older than 28, either that or he's had a hard life.

Maybe Ed has got him confused with the other Falcao who player for Brazil 30 years ago together with Zico and Socrates - and Eder :)

The agent is obviously using us to get City nervous and force an offer.

Falcao is the last player we need.

I don't know.

Hernandez is going, Rooney past it, RVP needing surgery, Welbeck not a goalscorer.

People think we're fine up front because of names and reputations rather than current realities.

They didn't talk about it, they are probably just relaying the info.

Falcao does make a degree odlf sense for me. He doesn't fancy chicha of welbz and one or both of them are likely to depart. As another poster pointed out rvp delayed knee surgery and there are concerns over his long term fitness I think. Obviously we're crying out for a decent cm but if falcaos available and rvp needs surgery he would fit the bill. So falcao and Vidal it is tomorrow then! :wenger::devil:

Hang on, what's all this delayed knee surgery business?

Wouldn't straight after the world cup have been a perfect time? Being a month of basically dead time!

Replace Hernandez and Welbeck who don't want to sit on the bench with Falcao who's 28/34 and wouldn't dream of sitting on the bench... ok!

Bollocks.

As hard as it sounds, van Persie might never be the same player he was in the 12/13 season.
Yeah, he's 31. But we probably need him somewhere near that level to get top 4 this season.

If we signed Falcao he wouldn't be sitting on the bench.. he is better than any striker we currently have.

What is the point of loaning out Chich when we could easily get £15 million off a few clubs for him? Unless it was part of the Di Maria agreement.

There's obviously nothing in the Falcao stuff. Haven't Monaco been offering to him to clubs? He's been linked with City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and now us.

Load of shite.

Doesn't seem so this late in the window with many having bought strikers already. The clubs need to be able to afford his wages and he should want to go there as well.

Real would pay us decent loan fee probably. Cover his wages and if he does decently and gets goals which he should then we sell him next summer.

I know LVG has balls but he's not gonna drop RVP and Ronney is his captain. What's the plan?

IF and it's a big if..

If we sign Falcao then he will either partner either Rooney/RVP in a two man attack like we've been playing already this season. He could also change the formation so Falcao plays as a lone man with Rooney behind him with RVP on the recovery bench after surgery with Danny Welbeck and James Wilson as back up.

Or rather panic begin.. with Falcao in their ranks City will have the best two strikers in the league and some would say world allowing them to pull even further away from us.

We have our own problems to deal with before we can even tackle City. Besides I am not sure this will happen. You cant keep Aguero, Jovetic, Dzeko and Falcao happy.

Would be a strange decision by City for me. They're getting a more settled set of options in attack and then want to go and throw in a guy who will want bags of money and could unsettle what they currently have? Jovetic and Dzeko look like they're getting a bit of confidence, hardly going to do them any favors when City go and splash out on another shiny new toy.

Of course there's bargaining power Juventus and Madrid have been linked with Hernandez, even the likes of Southampton (I mention Southampton because they have about £100m in the bank after all their summer sales) apparently made a bid so there are clubs interested in him, what good is a loan deal for us?

And for Kagawa did he ever get his big chance? I could probably count on one hand the amount of games he got to play in his natural position, I'm not saying he's worth £20m but the 5-6m fee is ridiculous.

Surely Wenger would gladly pay £15m for him now? Doubt well sell to a "rival" though. But yeah, why loan him? It's not like he's value is going to increase whilst sitting on the bench in Madrid.

in fairness we need a reboot upfront as well. we are fecked in so many areas.

Rooney, Van Persie, Di Maria, Mata, Welbeck, Januzaj and Hernandez (seems he'll be gone tomorrow though). It's not a reboot we need, it's setting them up properly. We have an absolutely lethal attack, the confidence just isn't there right now though and we aren't clicking into full gear.
