I would have said Aldo could have done with someone like Seedorf but he already got a better box-box midfielder in Ballack.

Very different players so I don't think they are very comparable. Ballack rarely played box-to-box with as much defensive responsibilities which Ancelotti put on that RCM role when Seedorf was there. That midfield is all about making Pirlo shine to his best which means the other two CM's has to make up for Pirlo's less than world-class defensive abilities.

Ballack mainly played box-to-box very offensively like Lampard which is why he scored almost as much as well.

It is hard to replace Seedorf with Lampard, even if the latter is also a brilliant footballer. They just play the game completely differently.
 
Not really. Seedorf had to press and track back but but not that much. They had Rino to do that and if they needed something extra defensively, they went for a midfield three of Ambrosini - Pirlo - Rino with Seedorf playing in a more advanced role. And, I disagree Ballack was like Lamaprd. In his Leverkusen days, yes, he played with not so much defensive duty. But with Bayern, Germany NT and later Chelsea, he did a lot of defensive work.
 
@Aldo - What is the point of doing Makelele trade with Ballack + 1m, then lumping Ballack into transfer market?

If it is just about helping managers with free players then that is out of order IMO. Balu could see someone like Overmars for 1 or 2m as well but it would be pointless and not in spirit of game IMO.

I had no use of Makelele, I can still use Ballack now or in future. But if I can get money for him I would let him go.

I really thought about selling Overmars to Annah for 2m actually. Don't think there's anything wrong with it, if you want to have those 2m. It's your decision if it's worth the risk to strengthen an opponent or not.

Yeah I'd happily sell Lewandowski for 1 million but that is way more than anybody would pay for him. Seedorfs value is below 10 mills apparently as well.

Balu offered me Lopez for 2 mill for the LW role, but I have already spoken to someone about a sale so got to wait with that.
