It's actually your fault that I started thinking about buying Carlos. Your comment about how I need more attacking fullbacks in my game against kps was the main reason, why I started to doubt Abidal. I wasn't doing that to screw with you or Edgalf. I was honestly interested in him from the start and would have bought him, if I had enough money (You can thank my Giggs/del Piero feck up and MJJ's robbery in the Nedved deal for that).

This. It is a pain to check but it will have to do with auction drafts. Fine etc are not going to work.

There is only one reason for accepting it which is that it would help a fellow manager out who spent a lot of time on this. Like I said for that I'd happily give 2 millions or 9 if I had that for the same case to any manager who made a mistake like that.

I just think the proposed punishment is too extreme, the idea was that it would never have to be used as it is so harsh so managers would be more careful.

So if the options is ruin a managers team vs give him my own money/a new chance some other way then I prefer the latter option.

I still don't get how the fine works. It will always push him into a negative budget, but if that isn't allowed and no one buys one of his players, he's basically disqualified for making a mistake and it ruins the game. It's much more complicated than just calling the bids invalid the moment they exceed the budget, which would have no influence on the draft at all and protect the game itself.

So weeks after I made those "outrageous inflationary bids" which all got raised by over 50% on average, you still haven't worked out how to deal with it.
