Transfer Deadline Day

FFS that 100k for Samba is absurd, really hope the feckers go down.

Annoys me that even though they will probably get relegated Harry will still walk into a new job earning £5million per year.

The phone call was the chairman:

"Harry, where the feck are you off to? This is one of our busiest days of the year and it's not even two o'clock. Get back here, ballbag face."

TalkShite have said that Samba has taken a pay cut to join QPR.

Now, this this mean that he has taken a pay cut from his apparent £100k a week wage, or does it mean that he is now on £100k a week, after taking a pay cut?

Wonder if the Sunderland fans will take to Graham, got a fair bit of stick off them the other night when he came on.

Graham is such a classic O'Neill signing.

I imagine it's just P.R. nonsense. He'll probably get around the same, but due to taxation his take home will be lower.

QPR have pulled out of the Townsend deal now ? WTF is happening there ?

that really doesn't have anything to do with what he said to be honest.
and yeah, Italy isn't the best place for black footballers to play, but it's not a bad thing in Milan, there are several black players there already and they haven't been treated badly at all. It's other (mostly smaller) clubs that have these sets of fans that are douchebags.

When he used to play for them he got racially abused by his own fans?

The absurdness (is that a word) of deadline day really smacks you in the face when the SSN reporters quickly skim over a minor disaster in the Copa Libertadores as a barrier in the stadium broke and a couple of hundred fans were sent tumbling forward for the sake of a transfer story. This particular "story" is Mario Balotelli in a picture with his new team-mates Shaarawy and Niang...

Tbf, is a barrier breaking in South America big news on SSN even outside the deadline day ?

Did you see the incident? It looked pretty horrific and there were plenty of injuries, I'd like to think that would be "big news"!

If lots of people have died or are seriously hurt then yes.

Danny Graham has joined sunderland for 5mil pounds. SSN

Not a bad signing, him and Fletcher upfront mean that Sunderland have some goals in them now.

Kieron Dyer has bagged himself a contract with Middlesbrough, why do clubs continue to sign him?

Nobody died and don't think anyone was seriously hurt either. According to the goal.com article 2 Woman were admitted to Hospital, and are stable. Will be released in the morning.

Searched on Google and could only find 3/4 articles on it in English.

I agree that it should be bigger news, but i doubt it would have been big news on SSN even outside of today.

At least Villa have looked to solve their problems by signing a young player from the French Second Division.

Yeah, it seems Villa are preparing to bounce back from the Championship almost.

If Villa go down they won't be coming back up, I am surprised at how relaxed Lerner is at the moment.

I reckon Celtic are holding out for a similar sort of fee Sunderland paid for Steven Fletcher.

Think they want 10 million straight up or something. Unless they drop their demands can't see it happening.

Apparently they just read out an e-mail on SSN from someone who has taken a day off work to stand outsides Hibernian's ground to watch any transfers come in. What is wrong with some people?

that same person is probably spending £100 a month on SkySports.
:wenger:

Harry is going to single-handedly save the deadline day.
Its a bit shit so far.

It's been pretty decent by January standards. Usually there is more activity during the August one.

Liverpool have cancelled Doni's contract. He was a bit pointless there wasn't he?

I think he has an ill child in Brazil which meant he wasn't around much. Seems fair to both sides.
