Transfer deadline day

There are always question marks over the future.

There will be a million ways to get around the fair play rules, I imagine clubs across the board will manage it - and if it comes to it, the likes of Man City may deem it to be worth it to not be in the champions league one year so they can spend £250million in a summer that will set them up for years to come.

I see Chelsea today posted an increased loss of £70m for the 09/10 financial year compared to £44m in 08/09 (good day to bury bad news). I really can't see you meeting the FFP regulations after your transfer activity today.

Carroll
Suarez-Gerrard-Kuyt

or

Carroll-Suarez
Rodriquez-Gerrard-Meireles-Kuyt

What's more likely? Not sure regarding Suarez' position.

Time running out....that is the essence of the deadline.

Yeah, it is. Well done.

No idea how reliable this is...

Andy Carroll... | Facebook

Ashley: "Andy, you have to leave, this offer is too good to refuse."

Carroll: "I don't want to. I love it here, I just signed a new contract too."

Ashley: "You must, there is no other way."

Carroll: "well, if you are forcing me to."

Ashley: "Good. I am also going to have to ask you to hand in a written transfer request. The board would like to spin this as us reluctantly agreeing to the sale."

Caroll: "but that would cost me money. I don't really want to do that. I don't even want to leave."

Ashley: "You must, there is no other way."

Carroll: "well, if you're forcing me to..."

Yeah thanks to Liverpool, Andy freaking Carroll is the most expensive English footballer now.

Thanks to Mr Abramovich, Liverpool won't spend big on another striker for years now and because of the timing of it - that player is Andy Carroll.

Rangers signed Diouf. One less scumbag in the PL

Torres signs on 5 1/2 year £50 million deal.

Liverpool have spent £60 million today, none of it on their defence whilst the first time Chelsea will get to show off their new strikeforce at Stamford Bridge will be against...

Liverpool. Normally I don't look forward to games against them for being cagey, this is going to be immense.

So I'm listening to Sky Sports News Radio and supposedly the "biggest news of the day" is the Carroll transfer not Torres. Let me get this straight... one of the best players in the world moves away from Anfield and some overpriced youngster comes in and he's the biggest transfer story of the day. Right.

We just lost our main weapon against your lot. I'll be peed off with Torres if he doesn't pull a hammy for that game.

Oh well, we have Lucas to dominate proceedings.

yeah, but the torres transfer was known ahead of time, whether it happen or not was another, Carroll transfer wasnt known till today, and got interesting as Newcastle rejected Pool's bid twice, and now sold for what is well over his value.
