Well at this moment, he's joining a better team but he still could have been a bit more dignified. He definitely knew what he was saying, and I'm sure he knows how Liverpool fans will take that sort of comment.

And I'm sure the last thing he wanted to do was to say anything negative to the people burning his shirts.

Considering that he gave them four years of his career, and scored goals at an astonishing rate when he first arrived which Liverpool more than relied upon, and people are burning his shirt live on television when he is looking at leaving - I'm not surprised he said it at all.

My sources say he's moving a few towns over to the then current champions in the league.

Where would Reina go?

I can't see any club outside City (not needed despite being massively better than Given and Hart), Chelsea (not needed despite Cech's decline from BITW), United (needed but would never happen), and Spurs (better than Gomes but doubtful) that could afford the fee plus wages, and we all know Arsenal won't spend big.

So would it be to Barcelona (better than Valdes by a country mile) or perhaps an Italian club?

Casillas -> United
Reina -> Real

:devil:

Nothing would surprise me, even Reina leaving now. Its up to the club to start showing intent.

No it isn't. I'm sure we can find a better deal than Casillas who is widely overrated and error prone.

FIFA World XI: 2008, 2009, 2010
FIFA/FIFPro World's best goalkeeper 2008, 2009, 2010
UEFA Team of the Year: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010

He is never in a million years overrated. When you get rated as potentially being one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the game by none other than Gordan Banks, you're not 'widely overrated.' There maybe better options out there indeed, but when you're looking for experience which we need in our next keeper there's few more qualified.

Torres: “A big step forward in my career. One of the top level clubs in the world.”

Torres: "It is the dream for every top class footballer to play at a top class club and now I can do that."

:lol: They must be seething with rage after hearing that. He makes it quite clear that he feels resentment with the way his Liverpool career has gone. Maybe he truly stands a chance of winning trophies now.

Well, the fact he's winning those awards show that he is overrated. Even Real Madrid fans admit he's been fairly poor for the last two seasons, yet they give him these awards because of who he is and the fact he plays for an all-conquering Spain.

He did have that one fantastic season (07/08 I think), but otherwise he's never been close to being the best in the world. Awesome shot-stopper and not much else, basically a better version of Shay Given.

Harry bid 250k for Phil Neville before improving the offer to 500k. :lol:

He could return to Barca

He is better than Valdes but will Barca want him back when their keeper is actually doing well.

They don't need Fabragas when Xavi and Iniesta are doing great.

They didn't need Mascherano when Yaya and Busquets were doing well.

They didn't need Zlatan when Eto'o was amazing.

That is true. They are like the Man City of Spain. They just buy players even though they don't them, so no other team will get them.

Eto'o wanted out and Yaya was gone when they got Mascherano.
