Transfer deadline day

What a spastic day of deadline day spending that was, did everyone just go into panic mode?

It was like a fecking woman on the first day of the January sales paying an obscene amount still for something that's "alright" then realizing that if she'd waited, she could have probably got something much nicer at a lower price! :annoyed:

Well with the money spent this season by the other top 5 clubs, it'll be quite a sense of achievement that we didn't have to spend ridiculous amounts to win another title... who needs to spend money when you've already got the team class

£214,525,000 spent by English clubs in January

11:06 @SkySportsRachG:

Sky sources understand Blackpool have rejected a last-minute bid from Tottenham for Charlie Adam, meaning the midfielder is set to stay at Bloomfield Road.

That's right people, 11:07 has officially passed and that's it for another 5 months.

I'm glad we didn't get involved in this panic buy ridden last 24 hours. We will wait for the right player.

To think that only days ago we failed to attract Steven Piennar in a £3 million deal and people were questioning Abramovich's future is somewhat amusing.

There's still question marks over his and your future.

You better hope these signings work out because it's the last transfer window you'll be able to splurge like that for quite some time.

2308: DONE DEAL Blackpool have confirmed the signing of Sergei Kornilenko on loan from Zenit St Petersburg until the end of the season.

Ooops, eat your words

Wait the totaliser on Sky Sports says it was 108,525,000 pounds.

The guy on SSN had 214,525,000 on the big board. Carroll, Luiz, Suarez & Torres themselves are £120million+

To be fair, I cannot really recall many occasions where you have came in and bought ready made players on big fees.

They show Big Ben but it goes on until tomorrow morning with offical press releases on the players their amazing sources didn't have contact with...

Are Liverpool getting better with these two new player or worse with losing Torres?

There are always question marks over the future.

There will be a million ways to get around the fair play rules, I imagine clubs across the board will manage it - and if it comes to it, the likes of Man City may deem it to be worth it to not be in the champions league one year so they can spend £250million in a summer that will set them up for years to come.

Redknapp just can't help himself, can he?

Last thing Spurs need is a midfielder, but Harry just HAD to stick a bid in for someone, anyone, just to get his fix.

"I'm no wheelah dealah, fack off."

"I can see it happening - Torres scores in the CL final." these two are worse than the muppets on the caf.

Haha I know, was just kidding around with the timings on it. If I remember the whole Cashley / Gallas deal a few years back was similar and wasn't confirmed until the early hours of the following day... So who knows what else has happened (Probably nothing exciting)!

That is very true.

 The door closes and Harry puts his foot in the way and can't help but yearn for his dosage of transfer action.

I bet he ain't even fussed he missed out on Charlie Adams. Just wanted to be involved.
