its ok SAF has donned his chauffeur outfit and is waiting at the airport in a blacked out S8 (ronin style)I have no such belief in our transfer team. They are not bad. But I dont think they could manage a coup
I can't see how we can go from
Rooney, Hernandez, Wilson, Januzaj, Depay & Mata for 3 positions to:
Rooney, Martial, Depay & Mata...
With the amount of games extra this season it gives more minutes to players and requires a bigger squad, we were slightly thin initially in my opinion, I can't see how he can justify making it smaller unless Hernandez etc pushed like hell to get out which I can't imagine.
wilson... I know there are rumours of him being loaned but its not happened yet.
also LVG seems to think fellaini can play up top (im dubious myself but he seems to think its an option)
and of course if martial is wide and rooney has to come off you can always put mata, young or valencia wide and put martial up top.
Watford's training ground looks like a social club.
What are Arsenal upto, btw ?
They've signed just Cech despite the mooted 150 million kitty.
possibly - but with the way city have started I think us, Chelsea and Arsenal are all looking over our shoulder at Liverpool and Spurs rather than thinking we can win itI don't even know where to begin mate... So Wilson is our fall back if we don't loan him? So our back up wide players are Young and Valencia? And Fellaini is an option up top? You're absolutely right of course... But that's why we can forget a title race and should worry more about getting top 4.

I think we will be ok - our defence is looking solid and we have certainly strengthened our midfield from last season. That's exactly what I mean mate. Depending on what other business we do today (which I don't think will be any) I predict 5th for us this season.

Id like another striker but like you I don't think we will get one - though as of 6:01 today the January transfer rumours will start.
Hopefully we get Kane just to see Glastons reaction and him try to spin Berahino / Son into the best partnership in the world but Im fairly relaxed if nothing happens.
Im sure chelsea will go on a roll at some point where there start smashing teams again, likewise Arsenal will click at some point this season and Im also confident that sometime soon we will remember how to score goals
Im just having a glass half full king of day... if we had giroud, welbeck and the rest of arsenals attackers i think we would be moaning just as much - and I believe we have a better defence than them so it could be worseI just don't see how anyone can be happy with our current striking options. The defence looked solid but as Sunday showed against pace and power it'll be found out. The midfield definitely is sorted and is now our strength but the attack is quite pathetic.
It's not a case of remembering to score goals though. It's having the creativity to create the chances.
Rooney is out of form... Still a good option but his best days are behind him. Martial is we young player with bags of potential but who knows how he'll do. Memphis looks to me like a player who will show flashes this season but it'll be next year when we start to see his true form. There's nothing OK about that attack I'm sorry to say. It's desperately lacking in goals and the midfield as good as it is isn't going to help out much with goals.
Despite – or maybe because of – the expected £36m spend on the potential of Anthony Martial, Manchester United remain open to signing a new forward, and possibly bringing in players in other positions before the window closes this evening.

Wouldn't we have to be moving on transfers by now if we want them in? The window shuts at 6pm not the normal midnight, and usually around 6/7hours before we know what's going on/who we are in for. Not a chance we can get a big name in this late. I was expecting to see some movement early this morning, feels as if the De Gea situation may have distracted is also.
All I know is he can take brilliant free kicks. Check his free kicks on YouTube. However, his free kicks and FIFA UT are the only reason I know him.Who is this Hakan Çalhanoğlu? Any Leverkusen/Bundesliga fans here to give us info?
YesI just want us to have one reliable attacking player. Is that too much to ask?
Of course it is! What do you think we are, made of money?I just want us to have one reliable attacking player. Is that too much to ask?
He has very good first touch and excellent passing ability, besides his FK's.Who is this Hakan Çalhanoğlu? Any Leverkusen/Bundesliga fans here to give us info?
Yeah I'd agree with this. Usually by now with so little time left there rumours all over the place but so far nothing. Maybe we are using the focus on the DDG situation to work out a deal or two? The media seem focused on finding out what happened there.
The window will slam shut at exactly 18:00 BST and we’ll cover all of the latest happenings at Old Trafford, the Aon Training Complex and beyond until that time, so make sure you bookmark this page and stick with us throughout the day.
