I watched through them all again recently and yeah the new HD episodes they all look really weird (kind of expected with the age I guess)

Bubbles has some set of lungs on him. The Live in fecking Dublin show was pretty hit and miss but still had it's moment.
Yeah, the low almost grainy quality of the original seasons is a big part of the show for me, especially with the intro. I think they should have kept it like that despite having the resources to get better equipment.

Wow, I'd never heard that story about the mistreatment - pretty awful, considering how successful that show was, in Canada and abroad (and for me, Cory and Trevor were a key part of that.) I'd also agree that it went downhill after the 3rd season - it all just seemed a lot more forced, and outrageous just for its own sake. Even the 3rd seasons had worrying signs (ex. the episode with the non-stop swearing.) Just found this, which is the original blog post from Michael Jackson (apparently he later edited it to remove some of the harsher bits - the edited one is in the link posted earlier.) He has some pretty scathing words for Mike Smith (Bubbles.) I will say that the show went downhill for me when it started focusing so much on Bubbles.

Watched some of season 9...its not as good as it used to be. The jokes about erections, penis in the electric fence, the weirdo army guy weren't that funny. Plus it doesn't suit HD
