Television Trailer Park Boys

Shiiiit :(

Jim Lahey was the best. Probably the only genuinely good actor on the show. For someone who is teetotal, he played the drunken wreckage character to perfection. Huge shame and a huge loss. Hopefully they'll stop the show now. It was already struggling without J-Roc. Surely they can't do it without Lahey.

Decent season. Definitely better than the last one, but it still feels like it's missing something. A lot of the original regulars missing. It'll feel weird if they then do a season without Lahey.

I miss J-Roc.

I like the boys but there was a huge drop off in quality after Clattenburg left, so much that i couldn't even finish Season 8.

Surely they can't carry on with no Lahey?

Definitely much better than the last few seasons. Not sure how they can keep going now without Lahey. Phil Collins has also, sadly, passed away.

Has not been the same since Swear Net took over but this season has been good so far granted I am only 4 episodes in. Enjoyed the Out of Park Europe series though that was well done.

Can't remember who recommended it again but I finally got into it and am already on season 8! Doesn't take long, to be fair. An episode while eating and then 3 or 4 in bed. Short seasons too. I did season 2 first because I tried s1e1 a few times a while back and wasn't feeling it.

It is different in HD. Shouldn't have switched. Season 6 and 7 were great though.

First bad episode - s8e6 :( Finished and wondered what the feck I'd just watched.

Been nowhere near as good since then ^ but..
"I've got experience calving" "Yeah well babies aren't born from the fecking leg you idiot, so how's that going to help?"

On the last season now. Bubbles twatting the cheeseburgers out of Randy's hand  I'm in fecking stitches.

At the risk of being the only person posting this thread ...

They're touring the UK this month. Manchester on the 20th.
At over £60 for a front seat and just under £40 for back/balcony though, it's fecking steep. Specially as their live shows on Netflix aren't anything special.

Is there another season coming?

How long is there usually between the later seasons? The last one only came out in June didn't it?
Can't imagine they take that long to film and edit though! Not exactly Game of Thrones

Watched a couple. Not really feeling it. It's not just about the lines or jokes for me but the delivery and the daft 'realness' you get with the slightly strange acting. It's about the way the characters look too. This is all lost when it's animated.

But yeah, quite good that they used recordings they already had of Lahey.

Yeah there have been some great moments but I largely agree.

Think they are just feeling a bit old to keep going with the live action?
