Television Top Gear

That BMW is beautiful. I don't like Bentleys.

The part in the second drag race was fantastic when the camera was in hammonds car he was giving it all he could and you could see the Beemer just flying past hammond was awesome truly a site to behold, that bmw was gorgeous

Is there someone who can tell me, how to pronounce Porsche ?

Poor-shh

Or if you're American; Poor-sha

Thanks, in France we pronounce poor-shh, but apparently it's supposed to be poor-sha, I'm a bit confused by this one.

It's a German word which should be pronounced Poor-sha, but I'm not German so I say Poorsh. In the same way we say Pariss, whereas you say Pari. The French pronounce The River Thames as Tamiz, rather than Tems.

It's a bit silly to use foreign pronunciation, unless there's a good reason for it, although it does make me laugh when English people say Reems instead of Rance and I saw this English bloke looking at 2nd hand cars saying that he'd always liked Reynolds.

It's Poor-Sha.

It's a German word, so you pronounce the E at the end.

A lot of people obviously say 'Porsh' but thats incorrect.

Thanks, now I understand with have the different "E" in french, too. When Americans say the Porsche, I hear "Porshia" but it's because they don't have the accents.

And thanks to you, too.

I like to at least try to pronounce foreign words correctly. But for Thames, it's because the translation is "Tamise", otherwise we would say "tems", we like to translate things.

Hope Lewis Hamilton isn't watching tonight, his week is probably about to go from bad to worse.

Isn't Daniel Ricciardo on tonight too. He could mean his fastest lap is about to be wiped too.

1:42.2

Did it 3 laps running according to Hammond. Pleased for Ricciardo. Instantly a more likeable bloke than Hamilton. Winning, his driving attitude and being British aside, it's hard to actually like Lewis.

Daniel Ricciardo is a great bloke, those few minutes were good TV, rest of this has been unmitigated shite.

Yep. Can't help but feel it's getting ever closer to the end of its cycle.

Silly episode nothing on cars but I dont mind it. I quite enjoyed the ambulance parts made me laugh a few times

meh it entertained me for an hour so can't complain

Parts of it made me laugh but you know each funny bit is staged and you've seen the same joke in a previous episode - people are getting bored of it but I still watch it and it is an hour better than other television shows. They should mix it up and review some cars (to cater to the car enthusiasts again) and not just take an M6 or Maserati on a race in foreign lands as good as they are.

Ricciardo is a good guy, he really couldn't hide his competitive nature could he!

Reviewing cars is exactly what they should be doing.

And I'm not taking about run of the mill weekly reviews of the latest affordable 1200cc small hatch or family sized people carrier.

Give us some nicely shot video reviews of new sporty cars and super cars.

I enjoyed it tonight, but the ambulance bit was a bit tedious. I know it's not a car-review programme and it was far more boring when it was, but something to balance out episodes like tonight would have been good.

Even if the ambulance stuff was shortened by maybe 5 or 6 minutes and they had the new TT, or a little bit about Ken Block launching the new Focus RS, for example. It would help to keep the car enthusiasts more engaged.

It was terrible. Probably the first time I've genuinely considered turning it off (aside from Riciarrdo who seems like a top guy).
