What hole? This time last year if Di Maria had have been injured, people would be claiming how vitally important he is to the side etc. He's a great player, but he's not at the elite Scholes / Pirlo / Xavi irreplaceable level.
Madrid have enough about them to adjust their play with Isco / James so that his loss is minimised.
Madrid will sell him in a few seasons when they get their new toy.
He would be absolutely perfect, but that ship has sailed... for now at least.

If Madrid signs Verrati or Pogba, there is a small chance that Kroos leaves. Besides Gundogan, he is one of the top midfielders that could replace Carrick. However, I think we will sign someone like Sanches or Neves.

I think to get the best from him you have to tool the entire midfield around him.
he's quite overrated isnt he? He's a bit like Carrick when on ball and having all time he can boss the game but he's so slow that he struggles at high tempos without defensive cover for him, and MOdric/isco doesnt provide that, wouldnt want him at United..
That said we have Schneiderlin / Schweinsteiger to give that cover and could do with someone who can boss a game

I dont agree at all. What he did against Arsenal in 2014 was similar to a perfect Scholesperformance. And that is the type of player he is. But players like Scholes and Pirlo need to be used right. Kroos is not different.
In Real Madrid they have to many players like him. In Man Utd he could be perfect.
We need him more than he needs us. Not sure hes a realistic target for us.
Don't see it ever happening but I've always wanted to see him at United as he's the closest thing to another Scholes I've seen... less tenacious but in terms of his ability on the ball.
I still do. Our (FC Bayerns) midfield play has accelerated noticeably since he left our midfield. He's a brilliant footballer, but can be agonizing to watch at times. He is more suited for the spanish than the english style of play.
This would just be Herrera all over again.
He would get lambasted by fans in here, for being too slow, lazy and not direct enough.
