Cant see him leaving for anything under 30 million euros. We are Bayern and dont need 25, specially for this great player who would have a great 2014/15.
6 sport clubs(3 football ones) pay more money per player then we do. United is behind us. We can pay every player everything but we dont want to. And rightly so.
We grow at a steady pace and we will offer Toni a good price. I stay by it; cant see him leave. So young, so good already, German and a pros pro. AND Pep wants him.
But we will see.

It's gone to a long, long summer again. This could easily be a tactic from United to make Kroos hurry his decision along, i'm 100% sure that we've had talks. But what's worrying is that LVG has come in and now apparently we're not after Kroos and it's gone quiet on Carvalho but instead we want a crocked Strootman? Meh.

Meh. If United don't want to meet Bayern's fee then it makes sense for them to leak a story that we've lost interest and are considering other options. Could be a negotiating tactic.

Or maybe Van Gaal really doesn't fancy him? Or perhaps Kroos had a change of heart?

None of us have any clue about any of the above. No point in getting emotionally invested in any of this bollox. You'll drive yourself crazy.
I'm sure there are other clubs interested in acquiring his services, if we wait too long and try to get the best deal, somebody else will come in. It's not looking good either way.

#believe!

I hope someone is preparing a "Welcome to Manchester" poster for Toni.

What concrete proof have we? We know for a fact that Kroos is haggling over a new deal, and that Moyes was spotted talking to a bald fella who looked like his agent. Other than that, i guess it's all speculation.
I think Fergie was also spotted sat next to his agent at Old Trafford at the end of April?

The media were briefed a few days ago that the Kroos deal is close, today we had their presidents comments mentioning they simply wont increase their offer to Kroos. Louis Van Gaal is training with Holland, he handed in a list to Woodward of transfer targets to focus on FROM NOW. In my opinion Kroos and Shaw are already wrapped up therefore would not be anywhere near the list. So the statements are in fact accurate, the conclusion is confused based on what I think.

Its extremely poor journalism if I am right. Something Jamie Jackson is pretty privy to this window.

I believe they have jumped down the gun far too quickly just like the Shaw deal.

So apparently we are after a 30 year old, injury prone winger but not a 24 year old midfielder, which we desperately need. If our interest in Shaw fades as well, I will have a major meltdown

To be fair, we are desperately in need of a winger as well.

Haha dare I? as far as I am concerned its still on, these reports are fabricated over false/misguided information in my opinion.

Reus - fake quotes that he said he'll stay in Dortmund next season.
Kroos - fabricated info that United decided to not pursue him.

This shall be a fun transfer summer!

Would take any articles at this point with a serious dose of salt as there is likely to be a hell of a lot of spinning going on, regardless of the actual state of affairs.

Whats with the bs saying lvg veto the kroos transfer?

Who was the source?

There wasn't one, the papers started reporting it. Could be off, could still be on. No one knows at the moment.

If we don't get him I can see him at Arsenal, like he seems like such an Arsenal player. They need a central midfielder too.

How has it gone from united briefing journalists a few days ago with positive news, to van gaal not want him? I'd assume we have had his list of targets for longer than 2 hours.

Its all good, we are just trying to throw people off the scent of an imminent deal. Even if this one does not work out it will just weed out the weaker muppets. Transfer season is a marathon, not a sprint.

Taken from James Duckers timeline (for those not wanting to take Jackson's story) -

@G_Mullan84 @smachugh @deckymcb @MOgdenTelegraph err, check my recent retweets. Think you'll find it is pal

Gareth Mullan ‏@G_Mullan84 1h
@DuckerTheTimes @smachugh @deckymcb @MOgdenTelegraph is it off then James? Van Gaal not want to go ahead with it then?

@G_Mullan84 @smachugh @deckymcb @MOgdenTelegraph aye

van Gaal knows what he wants, he knows Kroos as a player, if van Gaal genuinely has no interest in him then fine.

Is it a question of not being his type of midfielder? Or is it just a belief that we are being dicked around and there is no point in spending more time chasing shadows?
Hopefully the latter. Maybe the club are learning from last year's mistakes.

Saw this on reddit, thought it might get you all going again.

"The club told Jackson and others to brief that there was no deal for Mata in January and he did it, purely to help the negotiations.

That's the only explanation I can think of. Everything else I've heard indicates that the deal was nearly done."
