Was it Scholes that Fergie once told Erikson that injured and the proceeded to play him in the next fixture after the squad was announced.

There is no injury, he will score 3 past Norwich because England is ungrateful and doesnt deserve our players in a pointless friendly.

Statement from the club on the injury.

Tom Cleverley sent for scan - Official Manchester United Website

Tom Cleverley has been sent for a scan after picking up a knock against Ajax at Old Trafford on Thursday.

The 22-year-old midfielder was replaced by Paul Scholes an hour into United's 2-1 Europa League defeat to the Dutch champions. He’ll be assessed by the club's medical staff before a further update is provided.

Sir Alex Ferguson told MUTV on Friday afternoon: "He got a knock. We sent him for a scan but we don't think it's serious."

Cleverley returned to action in last week’s first leg in Amsterdam after almost four months out with a foot injury.

I would say this is probably a "Fergie International injury" ... but then you'd assumed he would pick that up in the Norwich game??

If Carrick doesn't get called up now, Pearce is an even bigger Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime then I first imagined.

I doubt he would rob a young lad of his first England cap especially a few months before a major tournament.

It has to be bull  why is it he/they can only meet them only on this very day?? Plus it is only a website, you can do shit like that from a distance for a simple site like that. As SAF said in the interview with Spoony, if a player asked for a day off he'd let them, "once it is a genuine reason, but I dont ask" is what he said or something like that. So I'm sure there are other days the really could organise it for.

Well once a big hitter like him has hold of it the story will just take on a life of its own.

Ya. He went on a big rant about players not needing to have businesses like websites, clothing, property developments until they have built a name for themselves, whereas I think it is a good idea. You gotta build for your early retirement at on average 35. Build it up so it is some bit good when the boots get hung up. But of course footie should come first for Clev if this has story has any foundation.

Rumours on twitter is that hes missing sundays game to work on his website

Thanks for flagging this one up mate. Gave me a little laugh myself. Its amazing people will buy Cleverley would deliberately miss United and England matches to boost his celebrity profile. As if he doesn´t pay someone to do his webpage for him anyway...

I should have put the phrase big hitter in inverted finger commas, shouldn't I?

Twitter...now I know what George Bush was talking about when he spoke of the 'dark dungeons of the internet'.

"It's important for us to explain to our nation that life is important. It's not only life of babies, but it's life of children living in, you know, the dark dungeons of the Internet."—Arlington Heights, Ill., Oct. 24, 2000

A man before his time. Life is important, come back from the dark dungeons, children living on twitter, and choose life!

What is it exactly that we've done to the footballing gods to deserve this?

Not only do ''they'' decide to place our City rivals in the hands of the people who own the world's largest sovereign wealth fund but just to really top it off, in the season when they're finally playing like very serious title contenders ''they'' decide to give us an injury list that wouldn't look out of place on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

Just feck off.

Couldn't help but

Ducker from The Times saying "upto three weeks" and the injury is not on the same foot as his troubled ankle. Its going to be one of those where we'll never know the correct return date.

Great!

So any attempts of us having a consistently good central midfield are destroyed every time.

I bet if we sign a big money midfielder in summer, he will be injured most of the time.

It's a shame for Tom obviously, but personally I'm greeting frustrated with these injuries. I really hope he doesn't turn into a crock as he has so much talent. It has to make you wonder, are we bringing him back from these injuries too early, before he is properly fit?

Different leg though. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

very pissed off and frustrated with this.....is this 2-3 weeks lay-off confirmed by the club?
