Fair enough, guess we'll have to just agree to disagree. I'd like to see the clev with carrick combo as well and see how it goes. If carrick maintains his form and fletcher continues his progress then with clev back and hopefully on track we'll have some good options there. I prefer a 4411 but I can see a 433 with those three working very well in some tough games.

Indeed. I didn't see this til now otherwise I would have replied. I think we were basically saying the same thing but got caught up in semantics.

Oh dear. Can't believe he has his own webpage, bit ott. All I can think is he is very bored on the sidelines, hence the website, his twitter and youtube being created.

I doubt it was his idea but its cringey stuff.
He looks like he will be a top player but for now he has barely featured for United and this website is a bit much

I'd give my left bollock for him to be fit right now and stay fit :(

I'll like to pinch in something as well, three bollocks would be creepy, maybe some pubes?

From the Guardian.

"Lost amid the Vidic news is that Sir Alex Ferguson has said that Tom Cleverley now won't be back until the new year,

Tom out till January.

Rumours on Twitter that he's out until February Atleast now. Just what we need.

It's time for a wee comeback for a wee ginger prince.

We already have 2 bollocks and some pubes. If we all chip in with body parts we can build our own Tom Cleverley!

And what a disaster those 4 seasons have been.

They've been amazing but I still feel we've had the team to win at least one of those two finals if we had better midfield so it's obviously a bit regretable that we didn't.

As a proud Englishman I'd love to think that Cleverley Is the new messiah that he's been touted as by some united fans this season.

Personally i'll reserve that judgement, as the hype this young lad has had is quite frankly cringeworthy and completely unfair on the player.

Completely agree with that, I wanted to post the same yesterday but Safari browser crashed and I couldn't bother writing it again. He's played five games for us and has been hyped up to a level that sees us no longer need a new midfielder, as good as Sneijder etc. when in reality the only capable side he has played against was City in Community Shield and they looked half arsed in that game anyway. We've put way too much pressure on the lad and this can't be good.

so twitter must be true then.

oh come on, didn't fergie said he be back by christmas, we don't need more bad news.

He was to be back by Christmas. Now he'll be back by Jan. Hardly any difference.

Might we see the likes of Morrison,Pogba or the recall of Tunnicliffe sooner than we envisaged? Or can we cope?

And what a disaster those 4 seasons have been.

Having Scholes available, and Giggs stepping in as a part-time CM, has somewhat reinforced our CM during these years. Now with Scholes retired, and Giggs not able to play week in, week out, we were left to our other options, which at the moment just isn't good enough or many enough. We need one top quality central midfielder in this squad, it's blindingly obvious. We might get the best out of Carrick, Anderson, Fletcher and Cleverley this way, too, and take some of the strain off them.

Only place I've seen it mentioned is in this thread.

edit:

from manutd.com news archive, dated 9.12.11:

There was little other good news on the injury front – especially as Sir Alex confirmed Nemanja Vidic will miss the rest of the season – with the likes of Tom Cleverley, Michael Owen, Javier Hernandez or the da Silva twins still on the treatment table.

“All the rest who are injured are still out. We hope the turn of the year brings all these players back. They should be back by New Year.”
