Gaming Tom Clancy's - The Division | Division 2 announced

@Damien - I assume you didn't buy the vector blueprints when they where for sale at the vendor for phoenix credits?

I am only asking because I bought it, and now I don't see a vector blueprint for sale anywhere else, so I assume it is the same blueprints? not a better version etc? If that makes sense at all

I did, that was 182. There's a 204 version in a special vendor in the DZ (in DZ03 I think but might be 05, I always get confused). That requires rank 75 to purchase.

My friend just called me near too tears, said he had a bag full of loot and was just about to extract when he got kicked from the server. Respawned in the safe house with an empty bag. Ouch

I do agree getting ganged 2v4 is pretty frustrating, especially when they all seem like 190GS+ too. Its praying on the weak. Generally now if we see a group of more than 1 of us we just run.

There was a team of 4 rogues in the DZ last night that all had GS of 210+, it is difficult to compete with that.
I unloaded a 9 rounds point blank from my HE shotgun into one of them and it didnt slow him down at all.

I was only able to extract 1 out of 3 times.

The Server is shutting down in 20 min. Don't know for how long
Changes:
  • Fixed a bug where players could revive others twice by holding the Revive key
  • Fixed a bug where Talent effects could be stacked by repeatedly switching the equipped weapon.
That guy we met the other day will be pissed the double revive is gone.

Am glad they have fixed these quickly (ok the double revive wasn't that quickly resolved, but the switching glitch was).

The talents one had big impact on the server making things unplayable for some. I think they're doing well with fixing bugs and stuff, just they need to sort out the elephant in the room and just disable mobile cover as there's been another Incursion glitch to do with it out in the open now.

They're dropping the credits in packs of 100 at the rewards vendor. 5 packs of 100 according to one of the developers.
What are they giving those out for?

 so there is already another glitch for Incursion after they patched it so only the c4 could damage the tank?

What really annoys me is when you run past another player who isn't rogue. There is always that thought of will he shoot once we pass each other? Mostly they don't, but when they turn on you from behind it doesn't even give you a fighting chance....

Isn't that the point of the rogue system? to add some tension/mistrust/tension into the game.

If i notice another player, i never turn my back to them. If they are extracting at the same time as me, you better believe i'm not going near that rope till they move for it.

Got some decent first time stoles on Striker set gear from the BoO Blueprints. Puts my DPS 180K but health down to 56k and skill 16k. Not sure what's the best way to go at the minute. Not going to bother equipping my Nomad stuff for Scavenging, I'll just wait to earn one of the other sets. I want that 3rd Striker piece for +50% Crit Damage because my Crit Chance is maxed at the minute.

I'm at a similar crossroads, I have 3 strikers and 2 nomads, Max I can have is a blended 2 and 2 if I want. With all the stuff posted about scavenging being worthless to a point (I think I get more pheonix coins and dz credits with it, must test it more) I've gone the strike root.

Once you get the 3rd striker gearset, what I've done is added a Gearmod set to each piece through recalibration, equipped HE stamina mods I got from DZ, and one prototype mod that increased both firearms and health, dps 170k and health 74k, skill 15k. Mitigated armour is 52%, and I have a HE holster that gives me 11% health back per kill. Found it works well.

My base crit chance is not great, 35-40% on average for my weapons. But something always needs to be sacrificed. Luckily my Midas has a talent that increase crit hit chance on full health, which with the 11% health regen per kill keeps a decent balance there for normal NPCs and first few shots off a named boss.

What's the maximum?

What do people find is the best balance so far, for the DZ I am not bothering with skill points too much, DPS and health seems the way to go for dealing with rogues, but having 1 high skill player in the group helps for the buffs.

I am currently at 103k dps and 76k health, seem to be holding my own right now with my Para Aug in most 1v1 battles.

Anybody over 190GS I just avoid though.

My post above is what suits my style. Likewise I don't bother too much with skill. I just try balance and maintain decent DMG on my weapons (anything around 10K), mitigated armour around 50%+ minimum and health 70k+. Crit hit chance is a bit lower than I'd like, but it is still reasonable. Seems a reasonable base to work from, especially if you are in DZ on your own or with another. No point taking bullets if you can't deal out some form of damage yourself.

187GS,the few talents I listed above work in my favour too, I just worked with what I picked up and then recalibrated.

Suits me for now at least.

Calbrating is certainly something I need to work at more, I didn't bother too much before as I was always finding better items so didn't want to waste it, but now I've settled more into the same items I should try mod them.

Do you mainly just aim to DPS?

Modding is the way to go. Your new gear might look worse on paper, 1 mod or recalibration can change that very quickly. You are at the point now a talent or perk can change in your favour.

Na, I look at DMG per main weapon ahead of dps. Dps is just a weighted average

Is the vendor at base the only place you can now spend phoenix credits?.
Also, I looked in the DZ for that level 75 Vector (not that I am level 75 yet), But I didn't seem to see it, unless it's in the bottom two?

Think it's DZ 3-5 dude, not sure which one. that's where the blueprints where. Pheonix credits used to be able to be spent in DZ 6, haven't been in ages though as it is only Nomad gear currently.

Not even online and my phone is lighting up from PSN messages with @Damien getting more and more frustrated with each death costing him more and more XP on his quest to 75.

Sounds like there might be a broken controller or 2 before the day is over

@Damien blaimes Brownie, but we're pretty sure he was going rogue, then making a made dash to safety whilst me, brownie and lucas took the bullets.

His Vector was purchased from the blood of his friends.

I rolled a decent 182gs vector, Highest DMG I could role with deadly and brutal talents and activated. Still getting higher first shot, critical hit scores from my Midas in the shooting range. Brutal does make the vector win in that score, but not enough for me to use it as my main weapon.

At least I won't waste anymore rolls. No point.

Most likely the key loot crates in DZ.

I picked up the 182gs Midas in the DZ for named boss Hawkeye (roams in the same location in W43rd St) and my Vector is a blueprint I bought on BoO. I picked up a LVOAC also that is 182gs, also dropped by some named boss. Every other weapon I have is 163gs

So tl;dr - DZ or blueprints

Nice one @Damien

I'm at a loose end, tempted to try and pug the Incursion
Thanks. Are you in the PS4 convo? If not I'll add you there and just post for others to play with.

:D It was just so tempting sometimes. Only did it when there was one enemy. Not when there were four as I was undergeared.

Very nice roll. I've still not got deadly and brutal on the same gun and I've been rolling for ages (on both 182 and 204 - quite happy with my 204 roll though).

My HE weapons are all level 163 - what's the best way to get the higher score weapons?

Special Gear Vendor is selling 204 versions of the AUG and M1A. I recommend getting the AUG at least but it's expensive at 814 credits.

AUG - Brutal, Vicious, Meticulous
Socom M1A - Determined, Dominant, Vicious

2 nice guns up at the base vendor
204 M1A and AUG.

Bought the AUG. My vector had a DPS of 168, but the AUG with the same attachments comes in at 201k.

My vector has Deadly (26% crit damage) and self preserved (3% health back per crit damage hit)
The AUG has Brutal (24.5% headshot damage) Vicious (Crit chance +12.5% at full health) and Meticulous (23.5% to instantly fill clip after a kill)

I do like the talents on my Vector, but with the clip size of 47, without reloading I should be able to kill 3 or 4 at a time. If that is the case I won't have to reload or go for extra ammo

edit: 23.5% my ass, reloads more like 10% of the time
