I am a lowly level 14 but was doing a few side missions with @Marksy7 last night. I feel like I have not seen much variation in the types of weapons about at the moment.

I've seen quite a few different ones - I'm only level 9.

I think you will end up sticking with one type of weapon and then swapping it out when you find or buy a better version. I love the M1A marksman rifle. Loads of damage and much higher rate of fire than the bolt-action marksman rifles.

I did screw up by having the SCAR-H as my other weapon. I thought that was classed as a assault rifle (like the SCAR-L), but because it is a marsman rifle also, it shared the same pool of ammo as my M1A...meaning I ran out of ammo very fast!At the very end of the session last night, I switched my other weapon to the ACR, instead of the Police M4. Seems like a v good weapon - not too much recoil or drift when firing. Will still use my marksman as my main weapon.

I also liked the healing skills - having the crew together and throwing out healing stations worked very well. Looking forward to continuing to unlock the Medical skills in particular. In saying that - I love having the turret too!!

I would join you guys but i think you are always in a private group, I blame @Levo for not loving me enough to join. I was using the mp7 for a while, as it was devistating up close but it was lacking a decent magazine size. I am rocking the M1A I probably use that more than anything else although just picked up an AK which provides me with better damage and range than my mp7 ever could, then I have a revolver as my sidearm which does 970 dps.

Sorry Wedge, no welsh allowed. The Irish only just made the cut to be honest.

My three questions for now (As I don't think the game explains certain things very well at times)

I've noticed most people are putting more points into the health DPS over skill. What does the skill help with?
Secondly, Under your currently loaded ammo, and ammo you have, there is another box, mine is '2' at the moment and in red, but what is that?

Thirdly, this may be simple, but I have an M1A and it has higher DPS and RPM than my Scar-H, yet the scar has a higher Primary DPS than the M1A which makes no sense?

Skill helps with your skills, i.e turrets, heal packs, shields etc.

The flashing red thing is how many rounds are chambered in your secondary weapon so if you switch guns with 1 bullet left it will flash 1 in red.

The third one is to do with the rate of fire. The bolt action guns do more damage per bullet ('damage' on the right) but but to the insane ROF of the M1A it has a higher DPS displayed above the damage. It's about whether you go for the one shot kill always and need the bolt action or whether you just fire it rapidly in which case you go with the M1A.

Got this game last night, enjoying it so far. My first impressions are that if some form of zombie does not make an appearance in this game at any point, it will be a tragic wasted opportunity.

So for those of you that are playing this solo is it worth getting? I keep hearing people saying that those that play solo are missing out on so much. FIFA aside I've never been a fan of multiplayer so even though this looks really good I probably won't bother picking it up unless the solo campaign is worth it.

Don't play solo, so I can't answer your question specifically, but in order to get the high-end gear you're going to have to venture into the dark zone and level up there by killing enemies. If you're playing solo any team of 2/3/4 could just decide to mow you down at any opportunity (if you don't get killed by the NPCs before that, that is), which will set you back quite a bit in terms of your level, since you lose XP upon death. So in essence, if you're a solo only player then you're not going to have much of an end-game experience.

There's a bunch of caftards that wouldn't mind helping you out at all though, and I think you'll find that the multiplayer experience takes the game to the next level. I pretty much never play solo, so if none of the guys I usually play with are on then I hang around in the base until somebody comes on.

Just don't go in there with @Vato. He likes to shoot people and turn you rogue while you're extracting.

@Ducklegs did that with me and Brocky earlier. Ended up losing half the stuff as four others extracted before me so chopper went and I got destroyed.

That was an accident feckface ;)

Someone was definitely shooting me in the back
