Gaming Tom Clancy's - The Division | Division 2 announced

Yeah it is confusing. There was a tutorial in the closed beta but it didn't show up for me in the open beta. Don't know whether its because they removed it or it recognised I had played the closed beta?

Think what would be nice is, for people who are level 7 or below who join a group of level 8s, it automatically come up with a message saying "others in the group are on DZ 8-8 server - would you like to join them?". As it is, you have to end up explaining to those who don't know how to change from regular to 8-8.
:nervous: What is the difference between DZ 8-8 and the one for lower level players? I don't really understand why it's not just all one area.

You can customise your HUD a lot on the PC version. I may get it, if they manage to crack down on the cheating.
Yeah, I've done this yesterday aswell.

Fixed my BSOD by doing a clean reinstall of my graphic drivers by the way, so thanks for that.

No worries.

Anyone looking to group up? @Damien - Your group is set to private.

There are two guns you can buy from the safehouses that require you to be level 8, and there's also purple loot that's better than the blue that you need to be level 8 for. So if you put those guys in with level 1 and 2 etc they'll just get demolished.

So the beta finishes tonight at 12. After a "eh" first impression I really enjoyed it today. Had a some deadly loot in the DZ, two cnunts were hunting me down, ran like a lil girl, found some med packs, ambushed them and killed them, ran to the evac zone, heli on the way and then a group of 4 absolutely annihilated me, taking the weapons I had.

Was intense as feck though. Will def be on it laters, about 9 until it finishes.

Pre ordered for PS4 along with EA Sports UFC 2. 365games & zavvi have The Division at decent prices, the former giving you £4 in player points/vouchers.

This gunna descend into pvp rogue mayhem towards the end ain't it? Anyone for starting early?

The only thing I'm worried about is the rogue system. There's so much scope for trolling that the griefing could get really out of hand. Shooting other players' turrets to make them target you and turn them rogue, stepping in front of people shooting NPCs and jumping into thrown grenades are some of the things I've seen so far, and it could ruin the entire end game experience if the DZ is all they have and where the best loot is going to be.

All this is going to be equally annoying considering that the penalty for dying as a rogue is so high, and surviving while rogue gives you feck all in comparison, so everyone's just going to be walking past each other and shooting NPCs to make small amounts of DZ credits, in order to buy the vendor gear.

I think they'll work on the turret exploit, and as for the stepping in front of people I think they should implement some sort of friendly fire option which can easily be toggled on/off so if someone who isn't rogue steps in front of you you don't harm them

I never use SMGs.

I'm rocking with a 4,555 DPS Purple Classic AK-47 with a 20% accuracy talent, and a 3,000 DPS Blue Classic M1A with a 160% headshot bonus.
That won't save you next time we're in the same group again though.

Nice Jacket! Where'd you get the weapon skin?

The very first civilian I helped out dropped it for me. Was delighted but didn't get any others since.

Great gear. You've got your health pretty high as well as high armour. Didn't know which to prioritise and how much impact armour has compared to health so compromised my armour a bit in order to increase health.

Liking your jacket too. I prefer the light ones to the dark ones.

Just realised that the 8th of March is a Tuesday, given I have this on pre-order from Shopto and their penhant for delivering early, there is every chance that it might get here on the Friday/Saturday

It's safe to say the only question I have left is which version of the PS4 copy will I buy?

Standard - no dlc just game for approx £40
Gold - dlc for a year for approx £60

I'm eagerly awaiting full release but I'm unsure how they will keep my interest for the full year. I'm leaning towards Standard but if there are rumours of what the dlc is and I like the sounds of it, then a last minute Gold edition order would be better in the long run.

Can't wait for this now. Loved the beta, on full release the full map will be open so at least 75% more PVE map from what I could tell and 66% more dark zone, all the PVE missions to upgrade the wings and all the extra abilities that come with that. Perks and talents that were completely locked in beta, the whole crafting side of the game which was locked in beta, tonnes more AI that will be switched on including roaming patrols etc. It's gonna be good.

And I never managed to find another pom pom beanie after losing the one I found early on :(

Oops!

To be fair, you picked up my trendy shirt and cool jeans (i think that's what they were) last night just before i left the group.

I'm pretty sure cosmetic items were bugged anyway, there was quite a few times i extracted items only for them not to appear in my stash..

Shock and EMP Grenades as well. Those two in particular will make for more tactical variations on what we saw in the BETA. I've decided I am just going to max out my Medical wing as quickly as possible and focus on Electronics and Health capacity in stats.

Modding the gear (not weapons) will be huge for individuality as well, to be able to add an electrical stat boost to starter gear will be huge for early game specialisation and then stacking later on.

Feel in two minds about this - I didn't really get to spend much time in the DZ, so can someone give an outline of what that part of the game is about? I read the post earlier about how bugged it was - all the ways you could be made to go rogue, which would then lead to losing your gear. That didn't sound all that appealing!

I really liked the cooperative aspect, but not sure how much the DZ side appeals.

I read this comment and sort of agree:

So I got some time with the beta yesterday, I enjoyed the two missions, the one for the Tech side more so, as the flamethrower guys were really awesome to battle as was the cool environment. At this point I was sure that I will preorder the game.

After getting to lvl 8 and thinking that I've discovered most of the stuff outside the DZ, I got to the Dark Zone.

And here comes the part where I'm not sure anymore if this will be the game for me.

The concept is cool and frustrating at the same time, most of the time when I was robbed from my new found items it wasn't too bad (it's also the beta, so everything is kinda worthless) and then there were times were I killed a Rogue and got his stash with nice items, so I got that going.

I got to DZ lvl 9 and got some money to buy mods and gear, but scavenging and for most parts accidently getting myself to be the Rogue was not fun, not that you lose money and experience, no you even lose the precious keys for the only things where you have a better chance to get blue stuff from.
