Gaming Tom Clancy's - The Division | Division 2 announced

You need to update your graphics drivers.
It started happening yesterday all of a sudden.

Have done a few things I've seen online and now I'm defragmenting my HD. If it still happen I'll do a fresh install of the graphic drivers indeed.

It's, more often than not, caused by a corrupted driver and, in rare cases, can be caused by a corrupted boot sector on the HDD. Pretty sure a defrag won't solve it, although running a disk check may flag something up.

My money would be on a driver/Windows file corruption, though.

Yeah, I've done a disk check and nothing came up. The weird thing is, sometimes it happens even when I'm not playing a game or anything. I go outside for a smoke and I get back to a BSOD. That's why I'm not sure it's the graphic drivers.

I went into my power saving options there was this advanced setting to turn of the HD after '20 minutes' when connected to the power supply which I'm quite sure was on 'never' before. Could this have something to do with it? I've not had one in over an hour now since I've changed it back.

Aye, I'm running the two missions with a group of 4 now on hard.

You don't level up in the DZ... you're exp in the DZ goes towards your DZ rank. Anything you do outside the DZ effects your level.

The gear you have access to buy or get in the DZ is a combination of your lvl and DZ rank.

So, @Big-Red, as someone who had been looking forward to it for ages what do you think of the game?
I like it, but feel I might be too casual to get proper into it from the RPG side of things. Leveling up and such.

I know what you mean - I would prefer to keep doing the shooty bits, without thinking about whether I need to upgrade my armour to a new one, or cycle through and decide which to use.

I guess it depends how vital that stuff is - am sure you can get by without having to spend too much time doing that.

I do like how the enemies are a legitimate challenge, or that they aren't just static waiting to be shot but actively try to take you out.

Will be on later.

Played it again on PC, took the time to learn the mechanics and found myself enjoying it a lot more. Also averaging around 50 fps with better than console settings is nice to look at/play.

But the PS4 side is super active so I'll go with the inferior version. Plus, no hackers! :D

God, you're such a casual.

What guns does everyone use? I'm rolling with a silenced M1A, an AK-47 and my pistol.
The gun balance was something that worried me. From what I played of it every assault rifle is inferior to the M4 in almost every department so why would anyone use them? I thought they were a bit better balanced in the alpha than what I've seen in the beta's. I'm just worried it's going to end up with everyone running around with M4's.

I've been using silenced M4, silenced M1A and a magnum pistol that has crazy recoil.

I prefer the AK over the M4.

Now I just need to save up enough DZ coins for one. I make it to around 5k then someone makes us rogue when surrounded by other places and I end up losing 1k+

Got the hang of this playing some of the missions yesterday and it really is an awesome game and I love the mechanics of the multiplayer games in the dark zone.

But is it me or did they do their best to make this game confusing as feck when you just start it? The HUD must be one one of the most crowded I've ever seen in any game.

It probably didn't help that I went straight into the darkzone with Zarlak before I understood any of the controls or game mechanics.

Anyway, when does this game actually come out and who is going to be on the pc version? I'm still a bit on the fence about buying this.

Yeah it is confusing. There was a tutorial in the closed beta but it didn't show up for me in the open beta. Don't know whether its because they removed it or it recognised I had played the closed beta?

Think what would be nice is, for people who are level 7 or below who join a group of level 8s, it automatically come up with a message saying "others in the group are on DZ 8-8 server - would you like to join them?". As it is, you have to end up explaining to those who don't know how to change from regular to 8-8.

You can customise your HUD a lot on the PC version. I may get it, if they manage to crack down on the cheating.
