100%. We don’t have to be cautious of our shaky defence. We can play out from the back. He’s a threat on set pieces. Provided he stays fit, he’s ideal.Please happen. I honestly reckon this signing would improve us far more than people think.
I’d be surprised if the deal actually happens for more than 50m plus maybe some add ons. It happens with 90% of the transfer fees we pay, it always the maximum possible amount.Fingers crossed.
‘That prompted United to make an initial £50million offer in May, but they began looking at Leicester's Harry Maguire and Barcelona's Yerry Mina when the London club refused to budge on their asking price.’
So Spurs essentially ‘wasted’ 2 months to get another £10m? Alderweireld is only due back to training on Monday, so it made sense for United to hold out and wait, whereas Spurs could have already used the £50m back in May to get someone like Zaha in early.
Fingers crossed.

He said we were interested in Sanchez in early January when everyone thought he was off to City. Looking at his record, he doesn't seem to put his nck on the line all that often. Clearly he's got some good info here.What's Simon Mullock's track record like?
Good to hear. There was also that guy from The Times who said a similar thing earlier today, so it looks promising.He said we were interested in Sanchez in early January when everyone thought he was off to City. Better than spending 45m EUR on Mina.Extortionate price if true.
Extortionate price if true.
If you have the money then just do it as even Jurgen Klopp the hypocrite now agrees.Extortionate price if true.
It's a lot more clear what we're getting from Toby than the largely untested Mina though.Debatable
It’s unclear yet whether we will get a €60m crock or not
Oh and sort your feckin hair out Toby
He’s a world class centre back. Really not arsed. Would be a perfect signing for us.Extortionate price if true.
The perception of the price is skewed because of his release clause that kicks in next season.
If we get him, then I don’t really care about the price as he would be a significant improvement on what we have.
Lindelof too.So United will have;
smalling
Jones
bailly
Rojo
Potentially Alderweireld
Surely that is a CB or two to many?...
Wasn’t impressed with him during the WC. Was watching to see how he’d recovered. Not sure about him. I have a theory that perhaps Vertonghen makes him look better than he is. We will soon find outHe’s a world class centre back. Really not arsed. Would be a perfect signing for us.
Lindelof too.
Shouldn’t even be concerned on the price anymore. It’s a ridiculous market and if we dont pay it we continue with the likes of Jones getting a look in. We wouldn’t progress. Just pay it and get what we need

Some said he's world class. Do you reckon he could be a GOAT?Please happen. I honestly reckon this signing would improve us far more than people think.
Rojo will leave and I reckon Bailly will play RB in the short-term a bit like ivanovicSo United will have;

Lindelof

3 at the back looking likely. That would be the best system for our attack I think although we need better FB’s to really pull it off.So United will have;

Really? I’ve always thought it to be the other way round.Wasn’t impressed with him during the WC. Was watching to see how he’d recovered. Not sure about him. I have a theory that perhaps Vertonghen makes him look better than he is. We will soon find out

It’s a Darren Lewis story; he broke it first; and is apparently reliable when it comes to spurs news.I wouldn’t make assumptions based on a story in the Mirror. However, Levy does have a history in selling late on in the window to gain a few pounds.
Thank feck. The best defender we could've realistically gotten out of all those we've been linked with. Hopefully this one has legs.
His hair is 10/10Debatable
