Thomas Tuchel | Gone to & from Bayern (In Summer)

It’s such a silly time to do this and can’t see who they will have lined up that’s going to be the fit Boehly will want.

United had to get an interim then wait for Ten Hag after a process. Then bring in all his coaches etc.

The season has started and top options are limited. This wasn’t planned and feels reactionary again. The question is will Boehly just randomly get a new coach and behave as he did in the transfer window or will he take some time to get this right? Even if the dream pool of coaches will be limited at this point.

Well - he was my guess to be sacked first - at least I was right about something this season )

There are many reasons to sack a manager and I don't think this sacking is performance related. Similar with Parker, it seems there's a culture/behavioural issue.

I'm shocked? Why?

So ridiculous. Can only assume there’s been something brewing all summer given Tuchel has looked miserable and been giving strange interviews.

The weird thing is they’ve literally just bought all his players in! What a mess.

I think it’s the right decision. Tuchel isn’t the right man for a long term project and Chelsea kept looking worse and worse. They have looked bad for a long time and it didn’t seem like Tuchel could turn it around. It didn’t seem like he was one the same wavelength as the new owners. Tuchel feels a bit similar to Conte in that regard.

Also the whole mood in the club, players not giving it all for each other, no fight and no chemistry. I will compare it to us last season compared to this season. There’s just no coming back from any manager when he loses the dressing room.

Seriously, I suspect they'll approach Zidane and if that fails Allegri

Embarrassing. I don't care if this precedent has worked out for Chelsea the last 15 or so years. That's embarrassing.

Stupid decision but the new owners wanting to pick their own guy is understandable I guess. Hope it fecks up their season and they end up far off the top 4 and trophyless.

Potter, Zidane or Poch favourites from Twitter apparently.

Prefer the first two out of those options.

You certainly can't compare Boehly to Woodward here. Utd always stuck with their managers, sometimes for too long, also see Moyes! This is a Perez or Roman move.

Very surprising.

Also, does the new manager have to play 3 Cbs and with wing backs?

If not, how does Cucurela fit in? Also James.. do they work as full backs in a 4 man backline?

Potter won’t take the job with that absolute lunatic at the helm. Spurs or Arsenal are perfect for him and it’s only a matter of time before those jobs become available.
If potter is offered the job, he’ll snap their hand off for it.

They can be planning on getting a manager with the same system. Tuchel isn't the only one in the world who played with 3 at the back.
Does that make the rest of what I said less true? This is poor planning from Chelsea any which way you look at it.

:wenger: so after 6 games with Chelsea being 1 point above Liverpool that to you means that Tuchel is a better manager than Klopp? Is this the way you judge stuff generally?
The poster made a joke which went above you.

They’ll have to play that system for now.

I can’t see Thiago and Cucurella being permanently benched.

If it happens over and over and over again, it's not luck.

Sacking a coach after less than 2 years is the Chelsea way and it seems to work.

I think it’s worked in the past as you’ve had a stable set up behind it including a DoF and vision. It hasn’t mattered as much who has come in immediately afterwards

This is going to be pretty much uncharted water now.

You're misunderstanding the posts.

Also, why couldn't they sack him when the transfer window was still open? At least they might've signed Ronaldo too.
