Thomas Muller

Aguero has to be one of the most overrated players in the world - it's that 93 minute goal that cemented his status, but ask yourself, when has he performed on the big stage for City or Argentina? Name a couple of games.

He's one of those ridiculously individualistic strikers, always looking to shoot! Second to Cavani in the overrated lists
Aguero is the very opposite of Muller. Incredibly gifted but also a very stupid footballer. I wouldn't go as far as call him one of the most overrated players but I get where you're coming from.

He's had an absolutely shocking tournament. Didn't expect this from him at all...

Thought he might do something tonight after a poor showing so far but he didn't really turn up.

I would have laughed if anyone had told me Muller would score 0 goals in the Euros. Actually there is still the third place game against Wales right?

Well at least he still won the award of the first one to complain at the ref and having a cuntface. Twat.

He has never scored in the Euros before. Amazing considering he's on pace to smash the WC goal record.

him playing today was a gamble that did not pay off. although we did not have any alternatives tbf. Götze was also shocking during the tournament. I would have actually brought Podolski on.

How can you not love a man that slide tackles trophies?!

What is the story with Muller this season, Bayern watchers? No league goals and hasn't started three of the last four league games. Fitting both him and Lewandowski into the side has always been challenging but it seems like Ancelotti has less willingness than Guardiola to tinker with the formation to make it work.

He'll probably just come back into the side once somebody gets injured. But I can't see a player of his caliber being all that happy in the current situation.

Do you think Thomas Muller will end his career in Munich?

I've always assumed him to be a likely one club man, at least until the twilight of his career. But I also always assumed that he'd be starting league matches in the prime years of his career.

I do remember players like Hierro or Raul: beloved stars to be considered as 'burdens' at the end.

'hasn't started 3 of 4 last games' is a bit misleading, as it pertains only to the league. He has started in CL and in the cup in between.

With the 4-3-3 we're playing, there's only 3 positions for Ribéry, Costa, Coman, Robben, Müller, Lewa.
Robben is now fit, Müller will be on the bench now and then.

Especially since Ancelotti is heavily rotating so far -Boateng already was on the bench too, as was Lahm etc

His clinical nature has taken a 180 this season. He needs to find his scoring boots quick. Statistically, he is actually taking a similar amount of shots as last season per game. But, things aren't coming off just yet

His worst year as a professional so far.

Geez, he is only 27, age wise in the prime of his career. It is simply a slump, even world class players go through them from time to time.

Would people take him over Griezmann if the opportunity arose?
He's taller, more physical, technically almost equally good, works hard, versatile enough to be able to play striker. I am just saying, Jose will at least have a chub for him if not a full raging boner.

True, he is Jose's type of forward big, strong and has great technique. I would love it if he joined United.

Was hierro really considered a burden at the end?
I actually thought he had a season or two left in him

Fans have generally short memories. A player like Hierro couldn't be sent to the bench. Some here consider Rooney as a burden, no? :D

Last game of Maldini

"Thanks captain. On the pitch you were an undying champion but you had no respect for those who made you rich," read one of the banners prepared by Ultras. "For your 25 years of glorious service you have the thanks of those who you called mercenaries and misers," read another. If the message was not necessarily scathing, it was certainly pointed. Next came a giant Milan shirt bearing the number six and accompanied by the words "There is only one captain, [Franco] Baresi".

What happened to him? Never rated him but he was a hipster fan favourite.

Also, Pep seemed to know better what to make of him than Ancelotti does so far.

I wonder if we'll see a lot more of this type of thing in the future. Hazzard downed tools last year until his arse was powdered and Muller this year looks to be sulking. Di Maria plays when he wants as well. Player power is a bitch. This "the manager will be gone before me anyway" mentality.

That's not what's happening with Müller.
