Thomas Müller

Muller, Ramos, these are exactly the players we should be looking to get this summer, and be seen to be looking to get. Not only to ensure we are properly in the fight for silverware, but commercially, to reinforce our status amongst a rapidly growing and cutthroat European elite. Bayern Munich or Real Madrid wouldn't think twice about bidding for our best players, we shouldn't think twice about bidding for theirs.

AS are reporting a row in training between Muller and Guardiola. Presumably more or less the same row that happens every day on training grounds all over the world, but still, muppets need food too. However, it ended with an apology from Muller and they all lived happily ever after.

They say the original report was in today's Bild so this is very much a possible lost in translation sort of story.

Incidentally I took a look and found the story on:

but as AS spoiled the ending, I'm far too mean to pay.

This one will never happen but I don't think there is a more perfect forward for us than Muller while we still have to accommodate Rooney every week as well.

Maybe this is the clubs new transfer policy .Sit back and wait for a player to fall out with his manager /chairman.

If he were to somehow leave (not going to happen in all likelihood) how much can you see him going for?

Tbh i'd be happy enough paying 100m or something insane for him.
Think hes the closest player to messi and ronaldo atm.
Cant see him leaving though.

How do you figure?

A World Class player, who can play RF/CF/ST and starts for one of the best teams in the world in his prime will go for around £60million IMO.

Given that he can play RF/RW and we have to have rooney in the starting lineup, we would be able to start them together plus be can fill in for Rooney if needed.

He is proven in the club and international level and would be worth it.

It's like bayern trying to buy Scholes from us when he was in his his prime, never ever going to happen.

Even if he has fallen out with Pep which I doubt, the board will know that Pep will be on his way soon enough, so would never sanction it.

Best we can hope for from Bayern is a surplus to requirements Schweinsteiger, or a long shot might be Robben later on in the window.

I think Bayern is Robben's last big club. Unlike even most homegrown players he has basically been repeating that he's happy here and wants to stay no matter what. Schweinsteiger is more likely to move than him.

But Bayern don't need the money, and there would be a riot if there was even a hint they would sell.

Honestly money means nowt with top clubs now, if you have a top player you should just hang on to them no matter what, they are near on impossible to replace.

I dont think it will happen, Bayern doesn't need to sell and he (by all reports) is happy there.
But he would be good here at OT.

I agree, and I'd be happy with Schweinstegier, I don't think Robben would look for a move but if Bayern decided they wanted to move him on then I reckon LvG would be all over it.

Having said that it could be the board will only allow him to sign one player over the age of 28-29.

He'd be fantastic, but i'd far rather we were linked to players we might actually be able to sign.

There would be a riot... from media and fans.

A glimpse you could see today in the forums and on twitter about this articles...

What does he want in England... - there is no horses and golf pitches (he has a handicap 6) there...

Tell Michael Owen that. A man who kept his football career going to finance his horse and golf related hobbies.

And I tell you what, when it came to golf and horses, there's no United player I was more proud of than Michael Owen. He gave his all in the stables. His handicap was wonderful, too.

Not got a clue what you mean?

Wonderfully the Carrington training ground's neighbour is the Carrington Riding centre, which is handy while he's getting his own house/paddock sorted.

Be surprised if we got Muller but we got Di Maria last Summer, you never know but doubt it. He would be amazing in the premier league imo. I can't understand why anybody wouldn't want Muller at United. He's a big game player who has won nearly everything and he's only 25. He is a team player and technically excellent. He would me our main man of front for at least 5 years. He got 21 goals and 18 assists last season in all competitions. He's got a great understanding with LVG and he would be used right. I really doubt he will come to United this window but he would be a far better option than Harry Kane that's for sure.

Just realised if we signed Muller, he'd probably get the number 9 shirt. Leading some form of unfunny nein/9 based puns throughout the rest of his career. I dont think I could stand that.

"Muller says 9 to new Bayern deal" and shite like that.

Would happily throw pretty much any amount of money at Bayern to get him but it ain't gonna happen.

I didn't know that Van Nistelrooy and Muller were such close friends.

I'm sure your being sarcastic and playful, but England is basically nothing but golf courses and horses! he would have no problems there. Perhaps even that's why he wants a change!

I think Darmian, Schneiderlin and one of Ramos/Otamendi would all be good signings to strengthen the team, but Muller would be the buy that got true muppet juices flowing, one of the best forwards in the world, still only 25 and full of that winners arrogance.

Won't happen. Would absolutely love it though. Muller is a true winner.
