Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Nobody is convincing me that Jinder Mahal isn't one of the absolute worst champions this company has ever seen. Yeah, I'm going that far. People like Orton have had reigns that started okay and completely fell apart for me recently but nobody has had me as disinterested as Mahal in a long time. He's been given an incredible opportunity and it's flopped on every single level. His promo's are bad and his ring work is bad, there's just nothing there.

You then have Natalya getting yet another chance (despite many fans online claiming she never get's her deserved chances) and it's taken the title to next levels of shit. Her ring work continues to be average despite people claiming she's some technical master (feel free to put together a list of great or even good memorable matches she's had over the years), she struggles to still cut a decent promo and her character work is average too. I've got zero desire to watch her as the Women's champion in 2017 while getting yet another chance to run with the ball and completely flopping. I'd be fine if she had a brilliant character or was cutting good/great promo's or having neither of them but having great matches, the problem is that she's got none of those.

On the flip side, The Usos continue to be my favorite tag team in the business. They're just so fecking good. Both HIAC's were ridiculously good IMO.

Decent PPV. Both HIAC matches were great. The U.S. Title match was fun also.

Shame the women's and men's title matches were a let down. Well I say let down but I knew they'd be shit.

I think it fell a bit flat for me due to the sheer number of PPVs they're doing this year.

I'm kind of expecting Undertaker to turn up and tombstone everyone each PPV, to make it stand out

That main event and THAT finish were fantastic. It was like a war was over.

That entire top-of-the-cell fight was tense as feck. Plus the swerve. Amazing storytelling.

The tag match was great too.

If they just had the two HIAC matches on the card it would have been PPV of the year. The other matches were fecking dreadful, especially Mahal vs Nakamura which is no surprise but I feel the need to point out just how shit it was.

Usos vs New Day great again. Usos look like fecking psychos just killing Woods with kendo sticks. Main event went too long but Sami turn was very interesting. Not enough to get me watching Smackdown but it's still something.

Also was really excited to see talking smack and it has some randomer on it instead of Bryan. Bad enough they took it away, at least when we do get it have Bryan back on.

Can someone tell me the deal with Bobby Roode?

Can't stand his entrance
Can't stand his entrance music
Can't stand his stupid Glorious catch phrase
Can't stand his old school wrestling style
Can't stand his kebab shop owner face

Why is he so over with the fans?

Roode is great tbh. Most people like him for the reasons you dont like him.

The PPV started of great and finished with a fantastic moment. WWE clearly had no idea how to use Sami Zayn as a face. Madness but then they struggle with Bayley so yeah. BUt good to see Zayn being used in a main position now. Intriguing where they go with this.

Yeah, the womens title right now isnt great. Carmella with the MITB is interesting though.
The WWE title is at its worst in ages. Jinder is a shite champion, uninteresting wrestler, his promos are boring, all his matches seem to have the same finish (and defo not in a good way).

The whole storyline was stupid. He was racist as feck to Nakamura... beat him up several times in the lead up to it. Already beat him at Summerslam. So in the rematch... beats him. Ahahaha
Also dont get wtf they doing with Rusev. Dude should be a top level beast but instead is a joke. Hes basically same as Bray.

Need more Breezango tho.

The miz legit needs another world title run. Didnt before, got it at a shit time. But now, id more than happy for the Miz to be top heel of the company. No one even comes close to his mic work, not even close.

The reason why most like him is because they've seen him at his best, which was in TNA. WWE are stupid so it's not that surprising but having him play this cookie cutter babyface who's all smiles is incredibly daft. There's probably some who, at this point, only pop for his music, too.

I haven't seen him much at all in the WWE so far but, if he were someone I knew nothing about before watching, I wouldn't be a fan either. I've seen him at his best, though. Whilst I've never been the biggest fan of his, he's a good talent.

Nah his entrance was initially lit. I saw him at TNA too, but his success in NXT is mainly due to his entrance, not TNA. Its warn off now, though.

Other than seamus and Cesaro, the main event for TLC is just  All these men will be univseral champions at some point. Makes Jinder Mahal look like an ever bigger joke.

I felt sick watching that, had a horrible feeling something would go wrong. I was hoping they'd move to a different part of the cage.

Also thought at the time KO bottled the jump

It helped but I don't think that's the main reason he got over in NXT. Like Nakamura, Zayn, Owens, Samoa Joe, Balor and Adam Cole now, the reason they were/are all so popular was because most of the NXT audience know of TNA/ROH/NJPW and had seen their respective runs. Take his theme away and, though he wouldn't get as big of a pop, he'd still have done well in NXT because the guy is talented.

I'm not against The Shield making a return but Christ they can't even wait a week to milk the merch money from it, they all had pristine new shirts just after reuniting

He was completely fine in NXT where he was rightfully playing a very good heel role.

For some absolutely bizarre reason they've brought him up and stuck him in completely meaningless matches and then in a feud against a heel Ziggler. Roode should have been coming straight up and playing the same heel role and going straight up against the top guys on Smackdown.

A lot of people said the roster was thin a while back when they started the brand split and I couldn't have disagreed more. They're stacked with talent and sadly have absolutely no clue what to do with a lot of it. You have guys like Balor, Wyatt, Roode, Dillinger, Kanellis, Bayley, Sasha etc completely lost in the shuffle, even Nakamura due to the absolutely below average feud with Jinder. Rollins and Zayn were both in a similar situation too prior to now seeming to have something more meaningful.

DOnt blame them one bit. Fans have been wanting this for a while and it makes a lot of sense.
Need to hear their music and see their entrance at the PPV tbh.

same could be said about Nakamura. Since his call up, hes been terrible. Hes had terrible matches (bar maybe this Orton one and parts of the Cena match). But his promos have been bleh, even his entrance is meh now (except his debut one), and his matches have all been a let down.
At least in NXT he had some good matches with Finn, Joe, Zayn, Roode.

Um so we're not gonna talk about this Sister Abigail thing? I was fast forwarding through the raw highlights and had to stop when I saw Bray Wyatt wearing a veil. Is there no one around to just say "Stop it, stop it please".

There's reports that Neville has asked to be released, can't really blame him with the booking over the last few months.

Wrestlecrap at its finest. I bet he shows up in a dress next week.

It's fecking brilliant, Neville could have tonnes of great matches and probably make a better living on the indies atm. Neville vs Kid Lykos is the dream match I didn't know I had.

Oh no doubt, from the perspective that he could compete on the indie circuit and that it is brilliant for him and for fans. I just don't have much time to watch wrestling any more and I can only really keep up with highlights from WWE, and watching Neville has definitely been one of them as he has brilliant this year. If he has left just a bit unfortunate I wont get to catch him as much as I would like is all.

Jimmy Jacobs fired for posting a picture of him posing with Bullet Club outside RAW a few weeks ago. Smart career move.

Get the sense that Neville looks at his work as art as much as anything and NJPW is the place to be if you want to show off your in-ring talent.

Indeed, but he's on the wrong fecking show. With the brand split, you can get the most out of guys like The Miz on top... by not having them on the same roster as Brock Lesnar, Brawn Strowman and Roman Reigns.

The Muz is one of those guys who is annoying but he is great at what he does character wise.

I just find this Shield reunion a bit sloppy with him. You have Balor, Gallows and Anderson. Could have thrown in AJ and then maybe some others to form some sort of “Balor Club” they could have established themselves as a force in the WWE working both shows and just owning it.

Then you have the Shield re-form to take back the WWE. Or heck have the Authority get a bunch of dudes together again and work that angle.

Yeah, no disrespect to Miz and especially Sheamus and Cesaro who have been superb in the last few months, this reunion feels very rushed and a bit low rent. Balor has the charisma of a brick wall but I like the idea of a Balor Club vs The Shield, he needs to be doing something more than battering Bray Wyatt in drag, despite that being oddly compelling viewing.

I’ve found myself fast forwarding the Bray in drag parts . The writing on WWE has really just gone to the dogs. I’m not even really sure why I continue to watch. It’s like The Walkingdead, when you’re ready to call it and move on there is just one episode that pulls you back in.

Uso’s Vs The Newday being that thing. Could we not get some sort of Uso’s and Roman coming together with The Rock acting as a godfather and have Nia Jaxx join in as well then they take over WWE then HHH puts together his squad which eventually ends up in a HHH vs The Rock at Wrestle Mania.

You're always going to have trouble getting The Rock in, his schedule is usually packed.

Nah, Shield reunion has been great so far. If youre having Shield come back, you need somebody to take the hit, and having it be the three that they chose is a good choice imo.

There is a rumour that this years main event at Mania will be HHH vs The Rock. They teased it a few years ago but nothing happened so not holding out much hope. As like you said the Rocks schedule.

Just have him live in the Titantraun like Bray Wyatt seems to do. quick Skype call. Isn’t Samoa Joe also from that family tree?

No. Did you just assume that cus hes samoan or you mixing him up with someone?

Nah genuinely thought I read he also is connected to grand high chief maivia.
However having just checked he isn’t but strangely Yokozuna is which I didn’t know. Real name Rodney Anoa’i. Romans real name is Joe Anoa’i

Get out, stay out.

You are disappointing your parents.

I find the idea of Brock vs Jinder in a champ vs champ quite funny.
