Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

feck that, Finn demanding a rematch straight off the bat, And new champ by 4am or whatever.

Finn to get the title again? Lol his career in the main roster has just been walking in, getting the title and walking out

Balor winning the title of Brock on Raw to end the show in a suprise would be great and give Brock a chance to disappear until Summerslam.
Shame if the title is once again on hiatus for a while. But then again, feck Raw.

Brocks not losing and he was shown in the video package for the next PPV.

Apparently it was all set for taker vs cena at mania, that's who taker wanted to retire him but vince wanted Roman as usual.

Understandable from Vince's point of view. Cena's a part timer now so him retiring Taker doesn't gain much, they're desperate to make a new star so they gave it to their chosen golden boy.

Wrestling isn't my thing but saw on BBC that the Undertaker is retiring. Wow, he's 52. His body must be fecked after all these years.

You should've started a new thread and specified that Undertaker is retiring in the title...

Amirite @prtk0811 :wenger:;)

I'm not starting a bloody wrestling thread! Was just shocked by his age.
Was third best read story on the BBC today.

Sorry mate, it was a joke as there was a thread started earlier about taker retiring and an outrage that the result had been given away.. sarcasm is difficult to portray on a forum. :(

But back to your original point.. his age had really started to catch up with him over the past few years and he became very much a part timer, with 2-3 matches a year at most. But yeh, it's still sad to see him go. An absolute legend of his industry.

:lol:Sorry, humour a bit lost on me there. No-one likes a spoiler tbf.

True but the way their handling him isn't getting him over with the fans. He's been given everything from Wrestlemania main events to Rumble wins and numerous titles and he's just getting more hate by the week yet they still shove him down our throat. Entering this years Rumble at 30 was a piss take, retiring Undertaker is ludicrous.

There was a point last year just after he got his 30 day ban where he lost a few matches in succession and he started to get a bit of support but soon after he was back to his old invincible self this time closing out ppv and RAW as the US champion, no matter where he's placed on the ladder he always centre of attention that's what annoys me.

You wouldn't know Taker was only 4 years older than HHH going by their performances really, Taker must really take it easy in his downtime nowadays. Though then again, he did have an insane reputation for his boozing anyway when on the road, so the drastic ageing makes sense. Legendary career of course, but the post-Brock WM's have been shit. I'm stunned I got a little excitement out of his Brock rematches to be fair.

So I've kinda watched it all now.

4 good matches in AJ/Shane(AJ can carry anyone to respect it seems), KO/Jericho, RawTag and Brock/Goldy okay. Trips and Seth had decent stuff too, but then Steph and overlong hurt, though I kinda liked how Seth threw the sledgehammer in reach of Trips to distract him....either way, I hope that this had further fuel to Shane/HHH in a "you didn't protect my sister" angle on top of the podcast shit so neither have to waste the talents of others next year.

Who is coming up from NXT tonight or tomorrow then?

I'll go for:

Nakamura
Dillinger (I think he'll go the way of Breeze :()
Revival

The real question on everyone's mind is, who opens Raw?

Seth the Kingslayer?
Brock as the new Raw Champion?
Reigns?
Pitbull?

If Reigns superman punched Pitbull, it'd have made him top babyface instantly.

I really hope it's Reigns, get the boos but he doesn't care and brags that he is the one who retired the Undertaker (own it like Brock and Heyman did when the streak ended). Anyone who comes out to shut him up would get a massive pop and it'd make a great dynamic, especially if they get one over on him. Just keep Reigns and Lesnar apart, that's the important thing, or the crowd tonight will shit all over it.

To be fair, he fell off a cliff very rapidly. Think it was only 4 years ago Taker was putting on a Match of the Year candidate with Punk

Yeah that would be a good way to go - and it will be interesting to see who he fueds with.

My feelings... summed up by this GIF.

Also, it was funny watching Bray Wyatt lose another big feud. Orton gets nothing from this win... and all it proves - not that it needs to be mentioned again - is that WWE are failing to produce stars.

I don't get why Vince wants to ram Roman Reigns down our throats? Surely it's better to push the wrestlers fans already like, e.g. AJ, Ambrose, KO, Wyatt... Why does it have to be Roman?

What I don't get about the Orton/Bray match is the time it got. Fourth shortest match time with two of the others being a women's piss break match and Goldberg/Lesnar because Goldberg can't do more than a few minutes.

Went back and rewatched some of the matches and AJ/Shane was even stupider than I originally thought. Shane basically outwrestles AJ the entire match so AJ is the one who has to resort to getting weapons involved. Jericho/Owens was actually even better on second viewing and just reaffirms my view that it should have been for the Universal title.

I thought Shane and AJ was good personally.

The idea of Shane initially bettering AJ in the match is conceivable because 1) AJ got arrogant & underestimated Shane, and his ego was a big theme in the feud. Also 2) Shane had experience against Kurt Angle, The Rock, Undertaker etc. prior to the match up so its not like he's void of any combat experience.

Also the weaponry thing is just a heel move to do. Quite plausible given AJ often cut promos in Smackdown about how good it was to use weapons on Shane backstage, so he probably did it because 1) he's a bad guy and 2) he wanted to punish Shane badly from the story perspective. I don't think his character thought he needed the weapons to actually beat him.
