You wrasslin' fans upset about Daniel Bryan?
Yea absolutely, but we're all happy that he won't be putting his life at risk.

The thing is the whole retirement is heartbreaking because we know how much he loves the business and we know how much it meant to him. At the same time we know that he never 'phoned it in' and always put in maximum effort and he did that for us.

It helps that he is a genuine good guy as well, always made time for the fans, spent time with sick children and does loads of work for charity, specifically children with cancer charities. He was blown away by Connor the crusher and did as much as he could to make his short life special.

We wrestling fans tend to be a loyal bunch, anybody who did as much for us and DB did will always be received like this and we will always be gutted yet grateful when they retire.

As good as a way for him to go out. Its such a shame it ended like it did, but as he said, hes probably grateful it did end with him being able to walk out, in front of his home crowd, retire and have this moment to end Raw. Not many get the chance to do that.

Said it on another page, but not many would have had the fans behind him from the start of his career (in NXT) to the end despite all the stuff they put him with or had him do (or didnt do). The Fans basically made him the ultimate underdog story and wouldnt let him go until he got what he deserved.

And he won the World title and IC title and didnt get pinned for either to lose them lol

Yeah, he's one of the wrestlers that got continuously screwed by the WWE and yet he just sucked it up and gave it his all for the fans and his love for wrestling. When he was finally given his big chance by the WWE and he took it, he ended up injured and never ever got to defend his WWE title which was stripped from him because he was out injured.

I've never really been a massive Bryan fan but this is really sad, he looks completely broken :(

No, just the thought of naming my Top 50 Wrestlers ever sounds interesting. May be an idea to have a weekly subject maybe in the thread using threadmarks and a change of thread title each week. Generally we have a core of regulars who could discuss their top 20 wrestlers or ppvs or matches or even more specific like favourite wrestlemania matches or favourite last man standing matches. Make a list each and discuss. Just an idea that popped to mind.

Bryan video opens Raw :(
I'm up for this. Can I suggest you start with top 10 feuds of all time?

I'll have a think today and stick down my top 10/20 and we can get a bit of discussion going.

Are we going for actual specific feuds or rivalries? For example would I say Triple H vs Rock or would it be Triple H vs Rock 2000 or 1998 etc?

Anyone making anything of that Vince pushy incident at the end of that Daniel Bryan extra footage from the network. After Bryan goes to the back and everyone walks away and you see Vince get into some sort of scuffle, I think with good ol' Titus. Also noted how reluctant Bryan was in hugging Vince and how he steered clear of specifically thanking the WWE, instead just going for Regal, Brie and someone I forgot.

Might be chasing shadows that.

Looked like Vince and Titus having a laugh, nothing more and nothing less.

Wouldn't read too much into the Bryan stuff either. He should probably be thanking them for that matter for not bowing to any pressure and clearing him. The company took a lot of shit from fans for months when everybody was saying they had some bizarre vendetta against Bryan because they wouldn't clear him. Turns out they made the right decision.

He did kinda thank WWE and said they dont owe him or anybody anything and he did talk about how grateful he is for all the people in the back.

The result for SD is stupid. I hate their 50/50 booking, its like nobody can be elevated, everybody must be at the same midcard level.

Also why is Jericho getting such a huge push? Hes in the ring when Brock faces of against Roman in the leadup to the Rumble, hes an Iron man in the rumble, he gets to make matches on Raw, and now this. Dude is all over the shows.

I tend not to get particularly bothered by anything from that company. It's far easier to keep them at arms length.

Bryan and Regal go wayyyyyyy back, Regal would get him on tours of the U.K. back when he was barely known and would wrestle him in tiny halls in Blackpool and teach him stuff. Bryan actually cites Regal as one of his trainers, and one of his biggest advocates (there's a great story of Regal fronting up Ezekial Jackson when he tried pushing Bryan around and basically saying if he wanted to try to beat Bryan up he was welcome to try) so I wouldn't read anything into it at all.

As for Titus, again I'd read nothing into it. Titus is a big character and is good mates with a few people who have Vince/Trips ear (Batista being the main one) so it's very possible they have a good relationship.

Aye, I knew the stuff with Regal was based upon friendship and mutual professional respect, that did not struck me as odd in any way. And yea, figures that it's just a bit of funny business. I have the feeling Vince is the kind of person who thinks it's hilarious to push someone into a pool with all his clothes on and a cellphone in their pocket anyways.

That whole Smackdown business
is just a very transparant thing to set up a 3rd decider match at Fastlane between them I think. With half the roster in Germany and not on Smackdown, I assume that they'll have them feature heavy next week, have AJ & Jericho mess about for a bit leading up to Fastlane, where Jericho will do a Jericho.

That was Kane.

I'm glad for Bryan. If you read his book it's clear that he was getting concussions from Day 1 and ignoring them.

He's got a gorgeous wife who is now reaching the end of her own time in the ring (especially if Nikki is also going to be out either long term or permanently and she's genuinely broody).

Time to go make babies.

No surprise though and I bet Vince did it after somebody got into his ear. You can tell Vince doesnt care about things like this (going back to Bryan, bet he didnt even care that he used a tie to choke Roberts) but after the fact, it probably became a big thing.

When I read it twitter he was suspended, I thought of this thread immediately given the previous responses

3 things.

Titus getting suspended is daft.

That picture is awesome.

There's a guy on my bus with a kendo stick, I shit you not. What do I do?

Ahhh crap, hes gone.

Anyway, after thinking about this Titus stuff, anyone think it could be a bit of a work? Pretend Titus has been suspended unfairly, get people on his side, put a few rumours out there over the next few months that he has been fined etc, and watch the fans react.

On second thought, nah. They aren't that smart.

He's hiding under the bus, be careful.

...why Titus?
