Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

No, just the thought of naming my Top 50 Wrestlers ever sounds interesting. May be an idea to have a weekly subject maybe in the thread using threadmarks and a change of thread title each week. Generally we have a core of regulars who could discuss their top 20 wrestlers or ppvs or matches or even more specific like favourite wrestlemania matches or favourite last man standing matches. Make a list each and discuss. Just an idea that popped to mind.

Bryan video opens Raw :(
Think that'd be a good idea.

Owens wearing a New Day shirt and doing the yes chant is fantastic.

Goddamnit, that Bryan speech tore me apart. :(

How can the WWE keep ignoring the huge pops Ambrose gets on a daily basis? MVP of the whole show, loved him calling out Lesnar to beat him more. Getting a bit tired of the whole Ambreigns betrayal/split tease, just get it over with at Fastlane, will be best for both of them anyways.

"Rock Lobster is the Mayor of Seafood City"

I guess KO did not lose clean, at least...

Did you all catch Ryback's blatant heel turn? Two kids next to each other and yet he gives all his stuff to one. Such a heel!

Dudley heel turn, awesome! Only one face-tagteam left then? Wonder if there is a NY Taping on the horizon, so they can debut Enzo & Cas to a huge pop?

Haven't seen any of RAW yet, but they spoke about Bryan's retirement on Radio 1, during the news, which I thought was interesting.

Just watched the retirement speech.

feck's sake, why did you let me do that? :(. One of you should have stopped me.

Great send off for Bryan... you can't beat genuine moments like that.

The rest of RAW was decent I thought... lots of filler of course, but the Lesnar/Ambrose/Reigns stuff was good, The Highlight Reel was good (The Miz has been great on the mic of late) and the Dudley's turn was welcome.

Looks like it's friendly enough

After RAW, I ended up watching the Network for a few hours.

Most interesting was a documentary on the Monday Night Wars. Lot of talk about WCW pinching their stars, then running the show with old/prime guys, the same handful of guys in the main event and once they realised they needed to elevate the mid card it was too late and they hadn't properly developed stars.

All the while Vince developed his young talent, gave them freedom, and gave all the card a chance to shine.

Amazing they could put out a doccu like that, then you go and actually look at how the show is today, and they're sailing close to the WCW wind these days. They'll get away with it for now though as they don't have any real competition.

Too many major stars retiring way too early in recent years, or at least it feels like it. I still miss Edge.

to be expected, the echoes of the Attitude Era and people trying to take things one step further than they had, when those guys were all dropping like flies themselves. Amongst the (very many) reasons I hate that era with a passion.

Let's just be thankful these folk are still here to tell the tale, or in Edge's case still able to walk.

So true. Form a selfish point of view I'd love to be able to hear some of the guys from my childhood era (Mr Perfect, Big Bossman, Pillman, etc) tell stories of the old days on podcasts.

Yep, agreed.

When Reigns came out in Lesnar segment, I was hoping that would be seeds for a heel turn for Ambrose. He turns on Reigns for coming in after being specifically asked not to interfere. Sadly not :(

Would be complete madness to turn Ambrose heel. If there's one way to ensure that all the smark fans end up booing Roman out of every building he walks into over the next year, it's that.

It doesn't amke me hate the era, it DOES however make me hate Michael Hayes.
