Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Awesome event, lost my voice, seriously. They gave us a bonus Sami Zayn return vs Dillinger after the show as well. Some great chanting all night.

Phelan is going to love the reaction for Gable and Jordan (if its not edited) especially the the chant of their name to the 2 unlimited song (ala Yaya / Kolo chant)

So much fun, not a bad match on the show, crowd was hot all night. You could see some wrestlers were just amazed by it.

So much love for Chad and JJ, hope they can keep the momentum up when they go back to the States, I know the Full Sail lot are high on them but it's a long time until the next (known) Takeover. Think they could have a fantastic match with Dash and Dawson.

Smackdown opening went well with Reigns in the ring but turned boring when Sheamus came barging in. Looks like they are running with a Reigns Suspension now.

League of Nation booked as strong as they should: Distracting Ryback and then dismanteling him after. Breeze loses again and seems dead set on a story with Golddust and rot in mid-card hell. ffs

New Day does not celebrate and dance for us, they do it for themselves. I AM OUTRAGED. Lucha's get a shot at the title next week on Smackdown it seems.

Team Bad is now sitting in the crowd with signs cheering on the diva's matches. How terrible is their booking?

Hold on, did they just turn Ziggler heel?

I called it from Day 1. He's going down the Adam Rose path. A Gimmick should be one which people love or one which people would love to hate. Everytime I see that Selfie stick, I want to grab it and beat him down with it. If not for Summer Rae, he'd be abysmal.

Even the Demon Balor gimmick would be lame in RAW. Compared to Deadman Taker, Demon Kane and Wyatt's face of fear, Demon Balor entrance would fall flat.

I dunno. If he would do it like he does now (Only for the big occasions) and maybe use themes more (like the Ripper one he had in London), I think it can get over. I think Finn has the advantage of his name and being well known in the indies already.

Yeah, hopefully he'll never bring it out on Raw and in fact hopefully he won't bring it out on every PPV either. It needs to be left alone for Wrestlemania, Summerslam and blow offs for big feuds. Oh and they need to carry on building it where he never loses as the demon, so when someone does beat him, it's a big deal.

But knowing WWE, he'll debut with it, and lose clean with it first chance they get.

Thing with Breeze is... what feuds did he have on NXT? Seriously, I can only think of Bull. He was in occasional top matches (he actually lost most of them) but cant remember a long running feud. I think he was doomed from the start especially as he debuted on SD with pretty much no fanfare. (and hes been losing every match since).

Even Adam Rose had vignettes before his debut.

Hideo Itami, Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville and was going to move onto Finn Balor before Itami's injury screwed up all of the plans. What an odd complaint.

As for the seeming rushed call up, he's another victim of Lana's attempt at mainstream publicity. His callup was rushed and not the call of the people you'd expect, they merely green lighted it.

As for him being midcard, that's his ceiling in general. He's the modern answer to late 90's X Pac, if you can't have a good match with him you don't belong here, but never a top guy.

If only that guy could fecking talk. He is in two of my top 3 non ppv matches all time.

That would be my preference as well. Have him debut as Finn at the Rumble, give him some eliminations or at least time and a lengthy showing, and go from there.

None of these were long running feuds though which adds to my point, he had maybe at most a couple of matches with them. I think his "feud" with Ziggler lasted longer.

I know youre doing this whole ITK gimmick for some reason, but what youve said doesnt change anything ive said.

I'm guessing he means vs Hart & Razor when he was the Kid.

Bret Hart with the Jim Ross and Macho Man commentary and his one with the Rock the raw just before the Rock Bottom pay per view for the belt. Shawn Michaels socked him with a chair.

Oh cool. I had a feeling it might be 123 Kid days. I know its counted as a PPV, but I really liked his match vs Shane at No Mercy (UK). And probably his one with Shane at WM was better.

All of the ones I said (with the exception of Balor which never happened like it was supposed to) were long running feuds. The Bull one you mention was shorter than all of them. He also had notable feuds (which he won) with Xavier Woods and Mojo Rawley.

As for the latter, I was agreeing with you but saying how the top brasses weren't planning on calling him up, I don't really want to betray confidences but I've made enough hints as to who caused the call up.

Just up to the RAW after bad blood on my journey through the attitude era. The interview with Melanie pillman the day after his death has really shocked me when re-watched, especially the questions. "Have you gave any thought to how you'll support you children", just goes to show how desperate Vince was for ratings at that time. The interview was even promoted throughout the show

"And ladies and gentlemen stay tuned, because tonight we will have the first 1 on 1 sit down interview with the widow of Brian Pillman since his untimely passing! But first, Faarooq is in action, and that's next!!"

I could see too that Vince wanted to deflect attention away from the company, asking about painkillers Brian may have been taken. Granted Melanie may have been paid handsomely for a few mins on screen but I think it could have been handled better than it was. Came across a lot worse than when I first watched it at 14.

I started watching some of the Raws from 1996 and there is some real dire shit on those cards, you can really see why the company was getting low ratings during that period. Here is the card from the most recent one I saw:

Flash Funk vs The Goon
Fake Diesel vs Phineas Godwin
Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw (cowboy with a branding iron) vs Jesse James (Road Dogg/Roadie).
THE MAIN EVENT:
"Wildman" Marc Mero and a fat out of it Jake Roberts VS Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Billy Gunn

It's probably the worst Raw card I've personally seen. The fake Diesel and Razor Ramon were woeful. I also saw Jerry Lawler and Sable have a "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em" bout in the middle of the ring......yes they played with toys in the middle of the ring and made it a big deal.

Because Lana and Rusev might really be reading this thread

Only joking mate, I like this gimmick.

Seems they are contemplating a Wyatt face turn and a feud with LoN.

Considering the reaction on Raw (before they turned it into a 16 man three teams of 4 stuff), I dont think its a bad idea. But keep them as they are but go after heel teams (rather than change them fully). Theyve pretty much lost to every other face that matters anyway.

Just came across this on twitter that made me laugh

Decided to watch Raw live after a long time, and already regretting it after 30 minutes. Think ill go back to downloading it and then skipping through it.

Kinda expecting something like HHH to come out and destroy Reigns at the end of the show or something.

Last weeks episode was the one really to watch. Best one I've seen practically all year. This one looks dissapointing. Was kind of hoping for the Wyatts to progress to something else.

The opening segment was useless other than to showcase Reigns imo.

Luke Harpers finisher is so useless and irritating. Spinning before a clothesline doesn't change the fact that it is a clothesline.
