Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

The problem I have with todays wrestling is that its watered down....since Smackdown/RAW/WCW Nitro started, you have A list talent going against A list talent every single week...when the PPVs come around, there isnt much difference with what you saw during the week.....whereas in the old days you saw A list talent fighting jobbers every Saturday/Sunday afternoon and would only get the big matches during PPVS and a Saturday Night Main Event....pros and cons for both I suppose.

The Rock & Rousey bit was about 25 minutes too long.
Kinda agree, I had hoped it lead to (and it probably will still lead to)a Triple H vs Rock Mania match next year, which it didn't but I appreciate it was entertaining. Otherwise, the show was excellent for me.

It would have been a million times better if he had not died and nobody dies in a wrestling ring again.
Well obviously, but Rednev was trying to sell his death as some kind of crazy wrestling stunt when it fact it was a botched ring entrance

If a wrestler has got to die on the job I reckon it would be a unanimous choice if they were allowed to decide how. And that would be by taking some crazy bump

As I said to my mate tonight, people will love Reigns for going stiff with Lesnar tonight more so as he would have, had he won the title tonight...good booking.
Reigns' performances was pretty much as good as one could expect from him, really impressed.

I agree. But the push he's getting isn't his fault.

I just feel for him, no matter what he does he gets booed. He's one of the guys with the size to rock Brock and he did that, and still he gets booed.

Tonight was the right move IMO, although I still feel for Reigns.

Hopefully they can build a serious rivalry with Reigns and Rollins. There's potential there as well, Rollins can be seriously unlikeable with his security always interfering and such. Reigns can be a more believable face next to Rollins. Plus they'll push the backstabbing by Rollins as well to build more momentum for Reigns.

It was the right move for business, a guy who's in with the authority to hold the belt will generate genuine dislike for him. Then whoever takes it from him (Reigns) will get a more natural push.

Great post. I agree, it's good for how they want to shape things in the future and was a dramatic (although predictable) ending. I personally wanted Brock to retain the title rather than lose it to a sneaky little biatch. I respect Seth and he is immensely talented and he has really worked hard recently, I just don't like this sneaky, whiny, cowardly role they have him playing. Brock deserves better than lose to someone like that. The only saving grace was Brock didn't lose outright and wasn't pinned.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this Wrestlemania. I'd give it a shaky 8/10. The music was restricted to two tracks compared to some previous WM that went on for ages. All the matches were above average, and a couple were excellent Like Cina's and the last match. I was a bit gutted Sting lost, and thought the handshake at the end was lame, and puts the feud to bed. I was hoping for a Sting win and then the beginning of the dismantling of The Authority, but you can't have everything. It was definitely better than nearly every PPV last year. It's also set us up for some great storylines in the future and sewn the seeds for some good feuds.

THIS is wrestling...

Today's wrestling is slow, flat and has no edge. I remember in my day as a wrestling fan, wrestlers used to DIE in the ring (remember Owen Hart?). When was the last time a wrestler died in today's WWE? It's fecking shit.

Ten days ago Perro De Aguayo passed away following breaking three bones in his neck in a match. Not that that's a good thing you piece of shit.

As for the show, it was fantastic. That card was always nailed on to deliver. Rock nearly killed it by going over on time as he always does, but Ronda in wrestling has always been an inevitability and a very good one. I'm really looking forward to seeing where it goes.

On paper that closing angle is something I hated. In practice it was fantastic.

And he sold them well. And he delivered his high spots to perfection. His timing was really on point.
I dont think he deserves any praise at all

It was a very easy night for him, clearly there was no trust at all in him

Even before Rollins cashing in, I really loved the story telling in the last match. When Reigns was making his come back I legit had no clue who would win

What Reigns needs is a feud like the Austin/Bret Hart one.

That pushed Austin to main event level.....Something similar with Reigns can help him a lot
I think Reigns needs to take a step back and be in high profile feuds rather than main event feuds. Let him get over naturally rather than forced. The kid is charismatic.

But Austin was a very good technical wrestler especially before his neck injury. No way Reigns is capable of putting a match like that.

I kind of agree with Randall. A lot of superstars would have done the same with Brock tossing them around and dictating the match. It wasn't really a difficult match for him.

A great night at Wrestlemania. What was accomplished :-

1. Lesnar looked anything but human, and even the Superman punches couldn't take him off his feet. He wasn't pinned, came out looking even more the beast incarnate.

2. 2014/2015 standout got the strap. Fully deserves it. Brilliant ending to Mania. Sets up interesting major angles going into Raw with Reigns/Lesnar.

3. US Title elevated. Rusev character develops. A first loss will make him even more interesting.

4. IC Title elevated. Bryan carrying that strap is perfect. Top talent will feud with him for it.

A ton of other things, but the key to this Mania is the realisation that they've booked a great show to give interesting storylines to follow.

Ziggler and Bryan :D

Rednev is just looking for a rise. Best off ignoring it.

I thought it was a great show.

Ladder match wasn't great but Bryan winning saves it.
Orton/Rollins was very good and the finish was brilliant.
Divas match was decent.
Sting/HHH was just mental and fun to watch. Wrong winner though.
Rusev/Cena was good.
Taker/Wyatt was good too but Wyatt really should've won.
I loved the Rock/Rousey stuff.
I thought Lesnar/Reigns was going to be a disaster but it was excellent. Told a great story.

Reigns is still a rookie. Look how much he's improved considering how little time he spent in NXT and how much time he's spent in a three-man stable. If you look at it like that, Reigns has developed tremendously.

It will be interesting where they go with Rusev. After their first defeat, monster heels tend to fade really bad unless they have something about them.

What the feck does that have to do with WWE?

He does. He's a superb character. Anyone who says that he's where he is because of Lana, is simply blind. His mannerisms are great, he's very good on the mic, he's a great worker for his size.

Want this, doubly so if HHH wins, which is severely unlikely.
They've teased it for a few years now...tbf, they want to break the record of 100,000k+ HHH vs Rock, Taker vs Sting, Shield Triple Treat would sell that place out.

@Shane88 I don't think Wyatt winning would have been good for him, what does a win achieve? He becomes the second guy not that big of an accomplishment, where does it take him? The loss allows him to get over by descending further into the darkness. As much as I'm not a fan I'd like to see him work with Orton and take his place as the new face of fear.

Thank you...god forbid he thinks before he posts.

I am supposed to show some sensitivity when talking about WWE because some wrestler died in some no-mark wrestling promotion in Mexico? feck that - it has nothing to do with WWE.

Bit unfair, IMO he's great regardless of his size.

They definitely need to have one more match, that's for sure.

Agree on Rusev..seriously was not arsed at all but his in ring work convinced me, he has become an excellent character, he deserves to be at the top for years to come.

At first I thought he'd be a squash beast that would get boring quickly, ala Ryback's early run, but he's been consistently class.

In fairness to Ryback though, he's been doing well again lately too.
I didn't mean my original statement to undermine his talent objectively. I meant to say that if you factor in his relative size, what he does is more impressive than most others.
Fair enough mate, I can agree with that.

No, nobody expects anything of you, but stop being a knob for no reason.

Lesnar still looks like a monster. Reigns and Rollins both come out as winners. Did not expect that.
