Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

A. Extreme Rules match
B. No Holds Barred
C. Street Fight

That's just flat out trolling by the WWE.

They've done it before with those exact match types. Can't remember who was involved though. Props to Cole for referring to Natty as Tyson's husband too.

Ziggler vs Harper was the only worth while match on TLC. Everything went downhill from there, I was disappointed with the main event to be honest especially the finish was expecting better from Ambrose/Wyatt.

Yeah, as a whole, that event was a massive disappointment.

Agreed. I'm just glad I didn't have to pay as it was free on Sky. It wasn't so bad a few years ago when Sky had 6 free PPV events a year and the Royal Rumble was free on Channel 4. With the general quality of the PPV events recently, and the fact you only get 3 free on Sky, i'm sure they are losing viewers and buyers by the bucket-load.

I remember that. But I think C4 only had the Rumble once. They did a terrible job and took ad breaks in the middle of matches.

If I remember correctly there used to be only 2-3 PPV's a year we had to pay for on sky. They also used to charge for the UK events which back then were terrible

Cena vs Rollins from RAW surpassed everything during TLC.

Try none for the attitude era. C4 had like 4 a year for a while, before Sky took them back....then in time the free ones from C4 ended up being the free ones Sky offered and the Sky ones became PPV, I think WM19 was the first genuine box office one, not overly sure.

Yeah they were all free at one stage, after that I'm sure you only had to pay for 3 on Sky. Summerslam, Wrestlemania and one other. Then it was 6 free, 6 paid, usually on rotation, one free, one paid etc.

Channel 4 had the rumble for a few years IIRC.

Earlier this year Sky renegotiated with WWE and the new contract starts sometime in 2015. From then on, as I understand it, Sky will have NO free PPV events, all 12 will only be available on Box Office, I presume for the standard £14.95. I doubt I will buy anymore again and will probably subscribe to the WWE Network. I've been disappointed too many times in recent years, yet keep paying for them in the hope they will improve. I can't remember the last time one was actually worth the price paid.

Is the WWE Network still unavailable on the PS4 to UK customers? or have they sorted it all out yet? And is it broadcast in HD?

If I was still a fan, the WWE network sounds like a dream come true. I would have been all over it

how much is it in UK / Ireland ?

You need to buy VPN and the network as it stands so comes out to about 12 euro, cheaper for the sterling crowd. If you can tolerate laptop/pc only you could use hola and just get the network for about 8 quid.

I remember one event didnt even make it on Sky. Sky had all events free, then Channel four bought four (Rumble and three others - im sure the 6 pack HIAC on Armageddon was one) and ended up putting it on a 50 minute delay for some reason and putting adverts at the most awkward places. They cut out the Rocks interview at the 2000 rumble, idiots and showed the crowd whenever there were chair shots or something.
Then Channel 4 didnt renew, and one of the PPVs didnt make it to Sky, then Sky put those they got back on Box office then yeah, thankfully the internet was hot then :D

The booking difference between Raw, Smackdown and PPVs vs NXT is just so glaringly different its shocking its the same company.
One in Vinces dinosaur vision and the other in HHHs vision which looks progressive.

problem is Vince will still be around in five years time and those who are looking good in NXT will make the jump to Raw and be in the same start / stop pushes and bad booking that weve seen for Cesaro, Ambrose, Bray, to an extent Rollins, etc.

Rumour floating about that some talents "phoned it in" at TLC as a form of protest in regards to booking on the main roster.

I think the first rumble C4 showed was live with the badly times ads.

But it was far more violent than they were expecting so showed later ones on a delay

Again I could be wrong but I think the rumble they showed was Cactus Jack (inlcuing a bag of thumb tacks) V HHH in streetfight

@Randall Flagg Yeah I pay about £9.00 a month for the VPN and The Network. Its well worth it, just hours and hours of content to watch and re-live. Top investment.

Yeah 2000 and yeah the 50 minute delay was after the Rumble (Backlash?). Clusterfeck Channel 4 were. A feckin 50 minute delay to pixelate blood and freeze frame shit and show the crowd at other times.

Absolutely brilliant to have Lesnar back. Was hoping he'd show up last night and just tear shit up and ended up getting exactly that.

Lana really deserves credit, plays the character so brilliantly. Rusev is awesome.

Anyone else think Lesnar was the good guy last night? He basically stopped a jock athlete brutally beating up an old man who was visibly terrified and willing to pay his debt, who had done nothing to antagonise him, had earlier told somebody he should show a girl his dick because she was a bit uptight with borderline racist and sexist abuse thrown in, and generally was a massive dick to everybody all night for no reason.

WWE is getting to the stage it was at last year. The shows are terrible for the most part, there are so many stupid acts getting pushed whilst the good talents are being booked poorly.

The crowds however are making it good with their chanting and calling out whats stupid.

What?

Haven't seen Raw yet, but that actually sounds interesting, in a baffling way.

I'd agree with that.

Jericho was being a massive tool to be fair, and he added nothing to the General Manager role. Imho, the General Manager should be responsible for every single thing that happens on RAW, and they should be shown to be doing so.

Lesnar was fine up until his intervention in the last match. Personally, I would have preferred him to beat the living feck out of Rollins and then show his respect to Cena for continually stepping up. Either that or he should have beaten them both senseless and walked out as the Champion he is. The fact he let Rollins off for his kerb stomp was pretty disappointing to me. However, neither of those outcomes would have let the new story of Rollins being a "Paul Heyman Guy" develop.

Maybe it's just a case of keep your enemies closer as Rollins has the Money in the Bank contract? Although I can see Rollins helping Lesnar defeat Cena at the Rumble and then taking advantage and cashing his MitB in and winning the title(s).

I have to say Brock coming in and just beating people up.
And then Reigns doing the same thing was fun.

Shame theres no Jim Cornette type to be with Reigns. That would really help Brock vs the eventual Reigns match but that could be a great brawl at WM.

Reigns should win the rumble, destroy Big Show at the Chamber(?) and then face Brock at WM.

I think its a problem with Rusev as a whole. He hasn't done anything that heelish (bar maybe kick Zeb, who had spent months verbally abusing Lana). He regularly sticks up for his mate when she gets sexist abuse from people, and its often been the faces who've done heel moves, such as 2 on 1's with Henry and Big Show. Its poor story telling and relying on Americans hating Russia in general

Wasn't this basically the same thing that happened with that guy around 9/11. Can't remember his name, but he was some young talented lad, lot of potential(perhaps had a rivalry with the Undertaker). Ended up ditching him, because they couldn't keep going ith the "far eastern guy = heel" shtick. IIRC, he should have been the face because his problem/story was the racist treatment his countrymen received in America.

Yeah - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Hassan_(wrestler)

WTF is wrong with the people?!?

It's customary in Japan for sponsors to ask to be chopped by the wrestlers.

Best one was when a sponsor asked Nick Jackson to super kick him, which he did, HARD. Same guy then asked both Bucks to double super kick him. fecker got knocked out cold and fell through the wall.

The video got passed around the locker room when it went online. Gedo was fecking pissing himself when he saw it, although there's only the Bullet Club's word on that last bit.

Also, Hassan was ALOT more heelish than Rusev, bringing out gangs with baseball bats to attack guys while he prayed. Taker was to be written off that way when 7/7 happened iirc, it was already recorded.

All the characters seem to be arse backwards at the moment. The supposed bad guys are actually morally correct most of the time and the faces are only given slightly amusing insults to use. The main shows need an overhaul cause nothing makes sense and hence is hard to take an interest in.

Which is why I was cheering Lesnar on so much that day. I love him no matter when he shows up or what he does. Did you see the look on his face when giving the F5? He just has that raw energy

Cena's the worst mate ever. In the run up to SS he rarely if ever came to help his teammates as they were being picked off one by one, and then he's just let Lesnar smash Jericho with no interruption.

Sounds like you want some loving from the beast.
