Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Yeah, these AEW PPVs man. You grow up watching WWE and you’d never think shows like this are consistently possible. I watched hundreds of PPVs ranging from poor to mediocre, sometimes good, rarely great. Even if the booking leaves something to be desired getting there, they more often than not deliver on the night. Three great matches all with hometown boys: Strickland, Danielson and Allin.

Christian Cage is just on another level right now. I cannot remember the last time I was begging another babyface to kick out at the end of that main event like that. I was being completely and utterly worked.

Hopefully Copeland’s time in AEW is well spent. Lots of potential programmes.
They don't touch takeovers for me. The streak of exceptional takeovers is something special.

feck it

Im here for a 2023 2 man power trip. feck wrestlemania give Cody the belt now and let Jey be the one to beat walter CLEAN

Tony’s on it again, using the near death of his mother to have a pop at WWE and its fans online.
He’s cracked. He’s legitimately broken

After Raw last night I am left asking, "who is going to take the IC title from Gunther?"

I don't see anyone beating him right now, the only way I can see it happening is a fluke roll up pin.

Either that or Gunther wins Rumble and is the one to dethrone Reigns, forcing him to vacate the IC title.

I think/hope Gunther is the one to dethrone Cody after Reigns. Think a program between the two would slap.

You don't have to vacate the IC title if you win a world championship, but I know Goldberg did it with the United States and Keith Lee did it with the North American so be interesting to see what they would do. Taking the IC off GUNTHER is bigger deal than taking the WHC off Seth, it needs to be done right.

They need to build someone imo, Johnny Gargano would be the perfect underdog baby face imo to take it if built right I think that would be a great move

There's been shouts that HBK should win booker of the year.

Seems Tony has taken that personally. Okada on a Wednesday and MJF v Kenny this Saturday? Fair fecking enough.

I don't think HBK will give a flying f*ck about what Dave Meltzer has to say.

No one winning booker of the year by just casually slapping MJF and Omega together for the first time on a dying show on a Saturday evening..... with a 3 day build on a "oh you are about to beat my reign length, you must beat me to do that" story.

I mean, MJF's firing on all cylinders right now, even in overplaying the ultra stressed champion with everyone on his back thing, so it'll clearly work. But this was an ultra match for AEW, they've waited years to do it, and we're getting it out of the blue.

Didn't most wrestlers hate it
Think I remember an Interview with AJ Styles saying that he preferred the 6 sided ring as that what made TNA different from the rest.

The metal frame had to be more reinforcedtaking bumps on that thing were a killer i remember reading a few years back.

Yeah hot shotting matches on free to air shows is some WCW antics

Think they're numbers are down? Need some sort of injection.

Only thing is, i can't see MJF going over clean, there'll be some shenanigans.

Still slowly going through the attitude era on wwe network as background noise while I'm wfh or exercising.

Up to the run up towards Mania in 99. It's getting gradually sillier and there's barely any wrestling outside of The Rock and Foley literally beating the crap out of each other on every show

Also I was definitely too young to really appreciate how good Foley was at the time, amd how much punishment he took. Guy must have spent most of 1998 permanently concussed.

The creed brothers are on raw tonight, I really like what I've seen of them.

Sometimes I'm amazed the man is a) still alive and b) has seemingly all his faculties intact.

He must have an abnormally thick skull because it genuinely defies medical science that he's got seemingly no side effects from it.

Its crazy how they used to pack more into a 2 hour episode of Raw than they do into 5 hours of programming now. Its genuinely nuts as well.

Last episode I had on, Jim Ross built his own separate commentary table in front of the actual commentary table in the middle of the show, so him, Michael Cole and King were all deliberately commentating over each other at the same time. It wasn't a one of segment thing either, it went on for most of the show until Hardcore Holly fell onto the table and broke it. This seems to come about because JR had a legitimate facial paralysis condition, and so instead of respecting that they decided to turn it into a storyline where he got fired because of it and became a heel/rogue commentator character

I remember watching this at the time but its so much more bonkers in hindsight. Also though if there was a wrestling show like this now I would absolutely still watch it over almost anything else on television.
