Only person I would be taking a piledriver from is Taker, otherwise hell no.
Yes! MJF v Switchblade! Should be a feud and match for the ages. AEW have done much better with Jay than I thought they would tbf Pushed him straight away and have now got him in the main event with their star man which is absolutely the right move. Could even see him winning the title.
On that note I don't think they've missed a beat (last week's injuries and feck ups aside) since Punk went. Really enjoying it at the moment on every show.

One of my biggest pet peeves in wrestling; Having a PPV main event be a tag match or a match for a secondary title. It immediately makes the event feel second rate.Apparently Christian vs Darby Allin is the main event, hopefully that means Edge will make his debut after the match.
I think it depends, because you want other titles to be seen as still top level titles like WWE are doing with the ic title. One of my biggest pet peeves in wrestling; Having a PPV main event be a tag match or a match for a secondary title. It immediately makes the event feel second rate.
However, "You think you know me" is probably gonna hit so that's why it's going on last.
Smackdown has been great for the most part imo. Jimmy uso imo is the one misstep but involving Cena, aj styles and la knight was a great move.WWE are onto something with Smackdown. It's fun every week lately even with the bloodline stuff becoming a bit trash.
Big name for AEW to get. Makes sense from that perspective. I just hope he's used to get other guys exposure rather than him constantly going for titles and bigger name matches against other former WWE talent
Edges debut was really fun, but just annoying that it was so obviously going to happen. Before the dirtsheets and reddit where you legit had no idea when contracts were up etc, that would have been absolutely awesome. But if I'm honest, I only watched wrestledream for it.
I expect him to be around for a year, maybe two. Think this was always in his plans from day dot. He wants his matches with Christian, Omega, Danielson, Mox, Cole etc. Get those then head back to WWE around this time, just intime for one last mania season and retire on his back at mania, comeback complete.
Gonna start sending this to people when their father passes away
Wasnt for me personally, most of the matches I had no interest in. Enjoyed Danielson/ZSJ. Enjoyed the 6 man with DC family, and enjoyed the main event. That's what I imagine his plan is too, he'll get a few quid more from WWE for having done this jump (and I'm sure he's milking Tony too), I imagine him and Christian will both end up at WWE for a HOF induction and a brief run before they put their boots up.
What did you think of the PPV? Anything beyond Edge that grabbed your interest? For me it seemed like a pretty poor PPV to capture much casual or unfamiliar interest.
This is so stupid but I couldn't help but laugh. Christian Cage is genuinely one of my favourite things in wrestling at the moment.

Outside that, it was all skippable IMO.
That would be grim. E&C are still in good shape and can go but The Hardys are done. But boy, forgetting about all the dream matches. One last Edge and Christian Vs Hardy Boyz, is something I'll be sure to tune into.

He was a top guy though, he had a great feud with Orton last time I really watched WWE. Even in AEW now he isn’t in the main event picture but nobody is saying he isn’t a top performerChristian has always been great - I never understood why Vince/WWE didn't see him as a top guy (well obviously him thinking he was ugly didn't help!).

Speaking of MJF there was a rare chance to catch him not in character (mostly) during the post show scrum. Some interesting comments from him, particularly about the different 'flavours' of wrestling and basically how he's able to get totally dumb moves over like the Rock could just on charisma alone...
Nah that one makes sense cus you're waiting for your opponent to get up.Makes me think, is the People's Elbow the most time-consuming finisher in wrestling? The pose, kick the shoulder, arm criss-cross, bounce off both ropes and elbow drop.
Sweet Chin Music and "tuning up the band" is another one.

I've always liked Christian too, but think he didn't really have the look of a true main eventer for what the WWE usually have. He was really good around the time he had a feud with Orton for the WHC. It's a shame Edge was retired at that point.
I think Edge to AEW makes sense. Other than his initial return in the rumble, I don't think his return to WWE was all that interesting/memorable.

Later in his career, the Rock Bottom was but earlier it was the elbow. It wasn't his finisher though, the Rock Bottom was.
