Roman is top face? Is that a joke?

Absolutely disingenuous that Cody comment and you know it. Roman was never dropping the title at mania.

Your prediction is she's going be bigger and pushed harder than Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch? Sound.

Well that's nonsense. I think most people thought he would, including the bookmakers.

Most people thought he would, myself included. In hindsight it was never going to happen.

By all accounts the rock was his original opponent last mania, he wasn't going to be dropping to the rock now was he?

Jade is defo a big get for WWE. But no chance shes a bigger get than Cody
Also laughing at "Roman is the top face. The only time that wasnt the case was when he was working with Sami and he got some heat"

I am so interested to see WWEs presentation of Jade however. Codys whole presentation upped by like 100 when WWE got him. They should do the same with Jade (who mostly was presented well as it was except having that jobber manager)

Roman is the top face. The face of the company in fact. He's who fans pay to go and see and who they cheer loudest for.

He's obviously not playing the white meat babyface character. He doesnt treat people very well and is all about himself. He occasionally cheats with a low blow or something, but for the most part he's working legit and not a heel and its interference from other people in his group that lead to eeking out wins. He's also paranoid. But so is Batman.

The fact remains the fans go out there and cheer for him, they buy the tickets to see him and they watch the shows most that he's on. When he was working with Sami and the crowd wanted Sami to win the title he got boos. Other than that he's cheered as much or more than anyone.

Its funny because MJF was a perfect example of an actual heel, someone who works heel. But now he's a face too. Doing heel things. Like Flair was at times. But again despite cheating and being a dick in the match, the fans cheer him and they want to watch him so he's a big babyface

So heels, who are generally more interesting characters and therefore the ones people want to watch, are faces because the faces aren’t facey enough for people to want them to win, so are actually heels. Or something like that.

Someone who claims to understand wrestling is saying Roman is a baby face? What a weird hill to die on.

Release day today.

Elias, Mustafa, Dolph and Shelton all gone.

I can see Elias and Shelton in impact. Think Dolph could do things in AEW. Honestly think Mustafa should do a stint on the Indies and find a character before going to a bigger company.

Let's be real, no great shocks there.

Ziggler maybe, he seemed to be a lifer but he wasn't do anything for a while.

Elias was entertaining but the rest? Meh.

It's a weird point given McIntyre and Cody got more cheers than Roman when Roman was working with them.
You can't use Sami Saying he's the only one.

I'm surprised about mustafa

Can only imagine he got mixed up with the face (of the company)/top guy. And rather than just saying he got mixed up, doubled down claimed Roman is actually a face. I don't for a second believe he thinks Roman Reigns is the top baby face of the company.

What do we know,he looks down on us because he once got into a ring so as he once said to me, I clearly don't know what a heel is

Yeah he was meant to fight Dom at the next PPV apparently so suprising.
That's why I'm surprised. Maybe they thought he's on too much whilst being in nxt.
The rest like Dana, Quincy, shanky, Mansoor, mace I'm not surprised

He just happens to be a face who exclusively wrestles faces. Weird.

Dynamite and what happened to Mox was weird AF. That ref they have is horrible. hes the one thats the Bucks friend right? And had that issue with the Dark order dude last time.
Hes not good at all.

Anyway, not just because of this, but I really hope they stop using moves willynilly on dropping people on their head. It really should be a finisher thats rarely used rather than a transition move or just a move like a clothesline. I know we had it with the DDT too, but its crazy. Seeing every wrestler just kick out of a piledriver every other match is crazy.

Easy to blame the ref, but Fenix shouldn't have done it again. He could have done another finisher than just drop him on his head again.

Terrible from both. Won't be any repercussions as there never is in AEW.

Well the ref basically didn't check. Hes also the same one that was involved last time this happened. He also stopped at two count without the kick out

For sure, fenix didn't need to do another move dropping mox on his head, but the ref for sure deserves blame.
This is something that should be sanctioned as it's the second offence.

Also saw Adam cole limping after he jumped and I was thinking did I miss something where he's hurt? But looks like he legit got hurt which was bizarre.

Easy to blame ref but why’s Fenix done that again. Common sense. Mox should refuse to work with him after it.

Riddle gone which is a damn shame. All the potential but problematic personality, most definitely a modern day RVD. Im quite disappointed but realistically don't blame WWE for getting rid, you can't trust him to keep himself out of trouble.

He's someone I'd like to see in AEW along with dolph but not sure that'll happen.

Bro.

I liked Riddle ever since this tweet.

"Chris Jericho, you're soft as hell. I'll beat the shit out of you, bro."

He has no respect for senior wrestlers or "legends", it's funny.

He'll definitely end up in AEW.

When did I say fenix shouldn't take any blame.

I said the ref is crap - my statement was regarding the ref - given the ref has previous.

If anything I wouldn't want this ref looking after me if I was in that situation

Fenix is at fault for literally dropping on his head twice, but if the ref hasn't said shit to him after the first time, the refs at fault.

Smackdown always flies by. If feels like the best show in terms of mix of wrestling and the entertainment side

Refs should always treat every count they do as the finish. It's on the wrestlers to time their kickout.

If they're too dazed or concussed to continue then a real count stops the match and they get the doctors in. Win win.

Not surprised at Riddle. I was more surprised he survived the initial releases. He sounds like he’s just not worth the headache he brings.

Finally almost caught up with several weeks of AEW. Loved the build for Grand Slam. Didn't expect Joe to beat MJF, but would have loved to see it.

Gonna really enjoy whatever Bryan Danielson has left. Think I'd get down to Wembley if he is on the card next time. Warra wrestla.

Christian is awesome.
Some his career best work. He was retired for the best part of seven years and always under appreciated in WWE. He has that same quality that Jericho has as a chickenshit heel, combining viciousness and wit, where his losses don’t hurt him as soon as he talks on the mic.

Agreed, hes great. The turn by Luchasaurus eventually could be fantastic if done well. Id like to see Christian have a great run with the title cos the title has been just bounced everywhere, recently.

@Sylar @SalfordRed18 @Bwuk have you guys seen the slow-mo video of Fenix and Mox? It looks absolutely brutal, how anyone involved thought it was a good idea to do it again is insane.

The ref being friends with the Bucks doesn't surprise me, so many of the issues in AEW seem to stem from the jobs for friends attitude the company has fostered.

As I said previously, Fenix should be apologising majorly to Moxley.

Accidents happen, doing it once is bad enough. Doing it twice is mind blowing from the ref/Fenix.

If I were a wrestler I wouldn't be long telling other wrestlers to piss off if they suggest I take a piledriver. Stupid move.

I think Taker is the only person you could truly trust with it. I can't recall him ever doing a dangerous one, even in his later sloppy matches. I'm open to correction though.

Hulk Hogan wants a word.

I think doing it the first time was insane given it looked like mox was concussed way early in the match from the dive off the ramp.

Agreed. Aew basically has a piledriver equivalent every other match and have made the move meaningless.
