Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

The new netflix show Wrestlers that features OVW has just come out. No idea if its any good, but I'll give it a try in a bit. But I know the guy in the promo pic and the current champ, did a student show with him on it and trained with him too. So I hope its good and successful for his benefit.
Have you watched Heels? It's pretty good!

Yeah I really enjoyed the first season. Only watched the first couple of episodes of S2
S2 is good to be fair, i won't spoil it for you but ignoring some of the annoying emotional stuff the story is quite good.

Didn't releaae heels season 2 was out. Gotta give that a watch.

Apparently there's belief edge is heading AEW. Can see him doing a year or two at AEW before heading back for one last small run at WWE, during the road to wrestlemania.

Ross Sapp thinks Jade Cargill is finishing with AEW and heading to WWE. Would be a great get for them in terms of someone who can be a marketable star and a bad outcome for AEW's investment into her when she first started out.

Turns out the All In numbers were bullshit as well, then they fill out a 17k arena last night with little over 2k.
Tough week for Tony

I think that would be a good move for her personally. Womens division is miles ahead in WWE and she has the look that will see her at the top alongside Rhea eventually. She's still pretty poor in the ring though but they can work on that at the performance centre and tbf she did show signs of improvement when she started working with Bryan Danielson recently.

Yeah I read that. Disaster for them having been telling the world there was 80k in attendance and it’s the biggest show of all time….massive fail tbh

Tony even had a pop at WWE for falsifying numbers

72k is still a huge number, their obsession with WWE has somehow meant 72k (which should be widely celebrated) is a failure of sorts. We had Tony say there were 90-95k people in the building as well. That’s undeniable bullshit.
I’m gonna make a point of trying to watch more AEW now since they seem to be on the ropes a bit and they need some support. I really hope everyone knuckles down and focuses on themselves now.

MetaJF - what a time to mimic that promo to recover from the attendance shenanigans

I think it'll be a great move for Jade, I know she's talked about how she liked the schedule of AEW, but there doesn't seem to be the same culture of training/improvement for newbies in AEW as in WWE.

Plus she has the look and appearance that would fit right in at WWE, her stature and physique make her a spectacle and she'll learn to use those attributes better I imagine.

There's every chance she ends up back at AEW at some point, given her previous comments about the schedule, but likely not for a good long while.

In kayfabe why exactly?

To be fair, even in kayfabe they were never really a main event group until the later days of the faction, and weren’t really some of biggest names in the business until now way after the split.

In contrast, the nWo were some of the biggest names in wrestling even before they got together, combined with the unthinkable Hogan heel turn and a gimmick which was to destroy the company they worked for from the inside.

Then outside kayfabe obviously the nWo had an impact on wrestling that can’t really be matched by another stable and maybe never will.

Think you're slightly underselling the shield. The three have been three of the biggest names in wrestling for years now, not just now. And arguably right now are the top 3 guys in wrestling. Don't think there was ever a time you could say that in regards to the original NWO.

Also think it was more the kliq having an impact on wrestling rather than the NWO per se.

But not while the Shield were actually an active stable. The Shield was the platform that launched them to stardom but i'd argue each one has really made a name for themselves after the shield, especially Moxley and Roman.

as nWo, they had Hogan dominate the world title scene for a good few years and outsiders the tag titles.
Shield when they were together had tag and us? title.

Shield had them all become champs when they split.

Id agree. TBH, even Seth. His turn on Shield and joining the authority took him to the next level, MITB win and then the main event 'heist of the century'

Guess it depends on your opinion of Al Snow. I've seen enough of his opinions that I think he's one of those guys who's too far up his own arse and generally out of touch with modern wrestling. As a documentary it has its problems in that it is way over produced and the narrative is manipulated to such an extent that it actually becomes a bit meta and could be considered wrestling in its own right. The best bits though are where it feels genuine and you see this struggling low rent indie and its journey men. Cash flo seems like such a likable guy. Darkstorm is beyond cringey.

If they dont end SD with Waller and theory attacking Cena, and then Rock saving him....

Probably Jade's best match on rampage.

One thing I think WWE will do is build on her image and presentation if they get her. They won't have her surrounded with jobbers and put all focus on her

Haha Nia held the ropes this time. She probably watched Stevie's video too

I think Jade could be a really big deal for WWE in the end. She has lots of room for improvement in terms of what she does in the ring especially with her bumping and selling. Although she might not do much of that depending on the push. But when Jade first broke through with AEW I made posts on here about Bianca Vs. Jade at Wrestlemania. And I think thats where things will eventually go longterm

1) Incredible look
2) Celebrity family - Married and has a kid with a former Major League Baseball star
3) AEW's buildup and groundwork / the streak and making her out to be a star. WWE will say thanks very much, we'll take your woman from TBS with a great record and build on it in WWE

I'm not sure it'll be any smaller than signing Cody other than the fact that Cody is well connected and has lots of friends, so that could help them get more AEW talent down the road such as MJF or Ricky Starks. If you put that part to the side I think Jade could be as big or a bigger star in the womens division than Cody in the mens.

So again well done to WWE and poorly planned by AEW. Tony might say well we made Statlander a bigger star by having her beat Jade and although Statlander is a better wrestler she will never have the star potential of Jade and bring what she can bring. She doesnt have the character and charisma, she looks like she can fight compared to most of the other women in AEW and WWE but not that star look.

Cody is the top face of the company without even holding a belt. He's front and centre on all marketing along with Roman Reigns.

For Jade to get near that she'd have to leapfrog both Bianca and Becky Lynch, let alone Cody.

I absolutely believe she could be big in WWE with the right presentation, but she's not gonna be touching Cody's levels of big.

Roman is the top face. The only time that wasnt the case was when he was working with Sami and he got some heat

Cody is the guy they didnt believe in to beat Roman and be champion

My prediction is that shes going to be more than that for the women.

Roman is top face? Is that a joke?

Absolutely disingenuous that Cody comment and you know it. Roman was never dropping the title at mania.

Your prediction is she's going be bigger and pushed harder than Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch? Sound.
