Same again the night

Don’t get putting Auska v Rhea for advantage in wargames knew she was gonna get beat, why no put Bianca in, that’s obvious to me, knew it was a bad move when they announced Auska.
Just put smackdown on, wargames advantage match with the USO’s v Sheamus and Drew, really don’t get why Roman isn’t in that match, he should’ve pulled rank and went in, same with not putting Bianca in woman’s advantage match v Rhea, don’t get it I really don’t, whole point of they matches is to win advantage and they are the captains.

Think they wanna save rhea v Bianca. Tbf that is a wrestlemania worthy match

Bianca is the number 1 pick, same with Roman, they 2 should’ve been in there respective matches.
.
Sure there's lot of things in wrestling that would make more sense but are still acceptable for storyline purposes
They obviously didn't want their number one guys losing on a random show like that

I rest my case your honor…….

Honestly not putting in Roman and Bianca is like Ange not playing Callum, Jota and Cammy in a must win game, really don’t get it.

If Bianca and Roman were in i they would have won, even if they didn’t you always play your best team.

Even if as we all know Roman doesn’t like tv now, ( like Brock), even if somehow he can’t see it, why is the wiseman not telling him he 100% had to be at smackdown last night and get advantage also if nothing else make sure the bloodline is in check, surely that’s part of Heyman’s role? No?

I think it actually makes character sense for Roman to not be in the match. His whole thing is for those guys to do his dirty work... so not hard to imagine him telling the Uso's to handle it.

Anyway, WarGames is basically a one match show tonight for me... but it should be an incredible match.

To be fair the Bloodline have a history of telling their members to step up or get out. It follows some kind of logic for them

Good show with some fine matches (if nothing spectacular) but it was really all about the main event and it delivered. The storytelling was just so great.

The match itself was good, but you put in the Bloodline and their characters and their stories, it just takes it to the next level.

Nothing in wrestling comes close to matching it right now for me.

Ronda Rousey is just pure fecking trash

She was good for a rookie in her first ever match with Angle and the H's

But she hasnt really improved since then. And pairing her with Shayna and giving them promo time.... Holy crap what a bad idea. Now you have 2 people who cant talk

Agree, the Bloodline is fantastic right now.

Agreed with this
Us title match was good as was the aj/Finn

The crowd was dead for most of the night though. Wasn't a good ppv crowd
Came alive for the main event though and especially the ending

Enjoyed both the war games matches. Especially the mens one as the Sammy/Bloodline stuff is really well done. The rest of the ppv was meh but seeing as these two matches took up over half the show and Survivor Series is usually dull as feck, can't complain.

Also glad they're continuing the Dominic/Ray Mysterio angle, but I'm sure they could have come up with a way to do so that didn't involve asking people to believe Mysterio wears his wrestling mask in his own home while dressed up for thanksgiving dinner.

Saw a SC post saying that this Sammy/Bloodline storyline is one of those ones where kids watching it will be talking about in years to come and I can't say I disagree tbf.

Watching some of the highlights back the womens money in the bank was better than I thought it was watching the first time. I thought it was bad at first. But it was mainly just the Alexa coming in section and waiting for the next entrant part. Io and Dakota were involved in a lot of cool stuff as well.

I'm not a fan at all of the Wargames match in general because of how long it goes without anything really mattering and the match starting. Despite that I thought the mens Wargames was pretty good, but I was hoping we were further along in the storyline and were going to see more drama. I am interested to see Sami turn or get turned on. I want to see that moment for sure. But until then I'm not that fussed with it

Agree with this. It's produced some good matches but ultimately, I'm not sold on the concept because it doesn't make logical sense to me I guess.

TBF, if you watch it, you can see Rey is called to the door, and when hes coming to the door, you can see hes putting the mask on for that moment.

Im glad they went the way they did. Especially if Roman is not going to be there week to week until WM season. For now, you have the element of the story where Sami is finally accepted by Jey. That probably got the loudest reaction at the PPV

I never ever understand when the faces have the advantage. Plus it should be a proper beatdown when the villains get the advantage. Then the face comes in for a save, but then gets cut off due to the heel advantage.
And really it should be violent given the nature of the match (stuff you wouldnt see in a normal cage match). I guess this is one of the issues WWE has faced recently in that they have too much gimmick stuff (And AEW is guilty of that because they just randomly have blood, violence and then when its a match around it, eg blood and guts, you get nothing different)

They just wanted Roman to be last in - which I kinda get as he's the "final boss" of the WWE.

Plus with Sami being a face and being second in it wasn't much of an issue.

Though I do generally agree that WarGames as a layout is pretty clunky... hard to get invested in anything until everyone is in the ring (to be honest I wonder if you couldn't just start with everyone in the ring?)

Yeah I get what youre saying @Annihilate Now!

Also the Miz/Lumis/Gargano stuff is so ridulous but ive actually enjoyed it  Hard to explain but theyve all done well in their roles.

Also the difference between Raw/SD in the womens division is nuts. If Becky is now Raw, SD is lacking seriously. SD really needs Sasha/Naomi/Charlotte (and even then its not really new).

Really poor promo from MJF last night, low light being too short to hit Regal in the neck.
One to forget

Having finished Aew Dynamite, its... missing something? I dont know, its partially entertaining but also kinda ... meh
I dont want to say boring, cos Im entertained, but somewhat by the numbers.

Danielson / Dax was a great match. Match of the night.
I know Elite/DeathTriangle is set up to try be match of the night, etc, but it seems kinda artificial in comparison. Im sure its great live to see, but it feels very videogamey where its just move, after move, and then counter, then move, then down but then up and hitting a counter move.

Its bizarre. He turned heel? whilst already being heel... on a guy that turned heel on Mox?

Its a strange one, especially after last week when it was Mox who really should have sent him packing and was teased as such with the not yet line.
I like to think the plan was to keep MJF someone who’s a face in the fans eyes but a heel in the ring so it kind of makes sense but it ended up being a convoluted mess

MJF had been saying he was the devil for months at this point. Even during the "face turn" he was still saying that which was obviously very ill fitting and would have been very strange if he didnt turn heel. And then people trusted him, right after he turned on the firm after using them to win the shot at the title. In that way and in the way that he's so petty, that Regal hurt his feelings in the past so as soon as he used him to get the title he got his own back.

Obviously it was really really sudden for him to go straight for Regal. My guess is he was supposed to be there last week but his movie got in the way so things that should have taken a couple of weeks happened in 1 week. Also might not be a good sign for the next weeks as he goes back to filming, there might have to be other comprimises you wouldnt want with the world champ

So yeah rushed for sure but its completely on brand for MJF to get a team up and then turn/discard them. He did it with Cody costing him being able to challenge for the title, he did it with Jericho at the same time that Jericho turned on him, revealing his new group The Pinnacle. And then he discarded them too. So now Regal goes with him and MJF turns on him too.

This was one of the best segments for the Rock:

This was happening right at the height of my wrestling fandom, great times.

Probably a bit misogynistic in hindsight but that was the late 90s in general.

I kind of tapped out of wrestling a couple of years later (probably around 2002 ish) but I did see his "Horrible Tonight" song for Vikki Guerrero on YouTube which I thought was pretty good (but once again pretty misogynistic by today's standards).

Edited to say that part of what makes it so funny is Vikkis performance too, she was great here.

I've been watching back through RAW from 1997 and some of the promos and angles back then I'm not even sure how they got away with at the time.

Like Farooq being one of the biggest heels in the company based on his gimmick of speaking out against racial discrimination.

Pretty sure there was also an episode at some point where Austin was wandering about all night with a gun because he wanted to shoot Vince

That is a heel move. He should have kept quiet and been more understanding of the people he was speaking too. Some of them had been in their roles their entire lives how dare he speak out.
