Great main event womens match for Dynamite this week Hayter Vs. Shida. Totally worth that being given the top billing

Yep. These Japanese style matches suit their women’s division a lot more. Love the style where a victory only comes after a series of finishing moves and kickouts.

Jamie Hayter is great. She should be main evening their first UK show, unless they want to do something big with Pac.

Dragon Lee has signed with WWE and will go to NXT. He's very good although he made a mistake that led to the possible career ending injury of Hiromu Takahashi several years ago. He managed to came back after the broken neck in the end.

Lee is certainly a different level in ring compared to the mexicans WWE currently have (Legato etc) other than Rey of course. He wrestles with a mask so I'd imagine in this era he'll keep it and they'll try to sell them to fans. In the Vince era plenty of the luchas lost their masks when they went to WWE.

That is sad. West and Tenay were a very good duo, with Tenay’s knowledge and West’s enthusiasm. Lots of great TNA moments soundtracked by Don’s trademark “you gotta be kidding me!”

Sasha Banks at the Tokyo Dome as expected. Challenges Kairi for the IWGP womens title after her (far too short) match with Tam Nakano.

Absolutely insane match between Omega and Osperay. Outstanding.

Easy to forget just how good Omega is in these big moment matches.

Wow that match really kicked into gear in the second half. Did not expect Omega to go over either which suggests to me a trilogy. That german from the top made me wince. Omega looks like he might have broken an orbital bone as well. Hopefully not.

Ospreay vs omega match of the year 2023, until they do a rematch and maybe even outdo this one. That was top action

Match of the year was preceded by the worst debut of the year. Big yikes for Banks

why did she leave WWE?

Initially she was tag champ with Naomi. I believe they wanted both Sasha and Naomi to have singles matches with... Ronda? Or Bianca. It was one of the singles champs at the time. They felt they were busting their ass in a tag division and now they werent even going to be given a tag opponent to work with. Then they had a bust up with an agent/person of authority backstage and they walked out on a show. During the show the commentators went on air calling them unprofessional and burying them. At that point they both seemed like they would be gone.

Triple H took over and it was said that things were looking better, new regime and all. Then some comments from WWE side that Sasha has plenty of things she wants to be doing, shes been doing some fashion shows, acting etc. and they arent sure what she wants to do. Jan 1st she was a free agent.

Biggest rumour the whole time, other than possibly when HHH initially took over and apparently they had contact, was that she was talking to new japan and stardom company bushi road. A couple of times on breaks over the past few years shes gone to Japan to train with them women there so she clearly always wanted to do something over there.

Sasha debuted today in NJPW, her promo mentioned stardom although perharps a play on words as she'll likely do some stuff there too. Naomi and Bayley were apparently at the show to support her, though obviously not on tv and likely in the back.

NJPW Omega is a different beast.

He's also been out recovering from his injuries, with extended time thanks to Punk. But he's clearly in incredible physical shape since his return. I would much prefer to see him in a singles run in AEW though. To me thats when AEW was really catching fire, when they finally pushed Omega as a singles and he won the title.

Agreed. We need singles Kenny back, especially as he's now going to be walking around with the IWGP US Heavyweight Belt on TV. This Elite stuff is dragging him down.

Yeah but she's fit and I don't live in Japan?

I think its fine for tv matches or a one off pay per view, but after initially being fine with the best of 7 because AEW didnt know when they were going to be back so couldnt slot them into other things and have people waiting for them, Kenny Omega is just a special case. The moment he becomes available I think its okay to tell another guy sorry but the top guy you were working with we want them with Kenny now that he's back. In most cases AEW and NJPW dont do that, they stick with their longer term booking. But now I want to see some classic singles matches from Omega in AEW, which was the main thing I was excited about when AEW first launched.

Huge!

When are tickets going on sale??

You can sign up to the presale stuff now, no idea when they'll actually go on sale but I imagine it's likely very soon. You can buy the packages already but the prices are pretty insane for those so I'll just wait for the general tickets to come on sale and look for a decent hotel. Absolutely buzzing to finally have a big event here.

Hopefully this pushes AEW to get theirs sorted too. I went Cardiff for the Clash, this would be great to get to as well, if the prices are not insane like Clash was. And hopefully they sort out their ticketing system as it was a mess last time.

Should be less tix as its an arena rather than a stadium this time.
If the tix are insane, although ill be annoyed to miss a proper PLE, ill skip (though I know ill miss something big this time)

I'm more willing to pay those prices this time since it's a proper PPV.

Imagine we get a successful cash in on the night

cotc was a lot of fun! Really hope tickets are a good price.

I've done a few Raws and Smackdowns at the 02, it's a cracking arena to be fair.

Yeah it's been ages since I've done a wrestling show there. Probably ten years
Nxt at Wembley arena had the best crowd and was intimate. Great chants too

Would be nice to go and see Becky, and have the likes of Sami, KO, Cody come over too

Wanna say nakamura too so we can sing his entrance ...

Will try to get tickets for sure although I’m certain it will sell out in minutes.

Clash in Cardiff was amazing this will be too.

Btw dynamite was great. The crowd was probably one of the hottest aew has ever had. They need to make new markets like this.

Fantastic show.

Yeah best one in ages. Fox v Swerve and Darby v Joe had some jaw dropping spots. Absolute bangers. Like you said it really helps when the crowd are buzzing and they were going crazy. I said a few pages back they kill it by going back to the same place for weeks on end.
