Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

EC3 was out first. Who did that guy piss off? Seriously?

Have you listened to Moxley on Jericho's podcast? Basically Mox was working with EC3 on house shows, but because they announced he was leaving he was getting cheered even though he's a heel. Reports got back, they were unhappy and EC3 has copped the flack for it. Absolutely ridiculous considering EC3 is the kind of guy they wank over.

Also, if they insist on a match like this then they missed a trick by not having the 24/7 championship chaning hands a few times throughout

I have absolutely no idea what you mean by “realistic.” I don’t think you know what that word means
Well if I asked “realistically should Lars Sullivan be WWE Champion?” You can be literal and answer “yes he’s huge and would kill people” or “no he’s been in it 2 minutes and he’s boring and shit”

Realistically you don’t put the title on Lars. Realistically you don’t put the title on Kofi.

If you think Kofi is a good Choice for WWE Champion, then good for you. I’d love to be so easily amused

Goofy bastards who drew money and interest. Kofi does neither.

I don’t mean realistic as in who would win real fights. But realistic as in who should be fronting the company. Daniel Bryan would get killed if it was real, but he’s the best thing in WWE by a landslide and a very realistic worthy top class Champion

Just because he's champ doesn't mean he's fronting the company. Also, Kofi and New Day are insanely over, so I have literally no idea where you've plucked this "doesn't draw" thing from.

It's quite obvious that Roman, Seth, Becky and Charlotte are actually the faces of the company, but the roster is so much bigger these days and people are so fatigued with the same people holding the belts (for what were almost pointlessly short reigns at times) that it's better for them to give different people a look in, and actually treat the title as a top prize, rather than pointlessly trading it between the same three or four guys.

And that’s fair enough

But give it to someone good enough to be WWE Champion.

You’re not honestly telling me Kofi is a good WWE Champion. Even the Intercontinental title looked stupid on him. He’s a tag team Champion and absolutely nothing more

Not heard of this guy
He wrestled in the independent scene in America as Manny Faberino. He made a name for himself at Hoodslam and other promotions before being picked up by NXT. He's not a bad performer, and given the handshake between he and Ali, this looks like another move towards WWE appearing progressive (along with showing off Saudi Arabia).

Mansoor saying he started at Saudi

To be fair to him, he's a good performer. He had a couple of good matches in NXT (most notably against Dijak).

But why though? What do you watch wrestling for if not for the unlikely underdog overcoming the odds and winning? If you want realistic combat, you watch MMA, because it is real. If you want theatrical entertainment based on combat, you watch wrestling, and accept that sometimes David beats Goliath.

If Kofi was shit in the ring, I'd understand, but you've literally said you prefer Jinder, who is objectively worse in the ring, but is just bigger.

You just keep repeating these same "doesn't look good" and "isn't realistic" statements without actually explaining what you mean by them.

Kofi is a four time IC champ, a three time US champ, and an eight time Tag champ. The whole story in the build to the Mania match was how he'd not really focused on attaining what he wanted, instead choosing to goof off with the boys in New Day because it was fun. They had him become more focused, and overcome some ridiculous odds just to get the match in the first place, and then he dug deep and won it. Since then he's stayed more focused, and has had to battle to keep it.

It won't be a long reign, and he's almost certainly never winning it again once he drops it, but as a one-off storyline, it's been of the better presented in WWE in recent years. I'd wager as well that he simply loses it to someone better than him. Possibly even Lesnar.

What a mess of a main event. Neither the Undertaker nor Goldberg looked like they could last the match. Even the crowd realised that it was getting worse as the match went on. Oh well, at least this PPV has finally ended.

That was sad viewing, to be honest. Two guys who are so old and utterly fecked that they just couldn't do the planned finish.

I couldn’t really tell, but it looked like it was Goldberg that kept botching?

Undertaker looked visibly pissed off after the match

Yup, Goldberg was screwing up most of the spots. Taker then gave up and threw a 2nd chokeslam to end the match.

That was hilarious to watch. Taker fully gassed and passed it, Goldberg fully concussed.

Goldberg dropped taker on his head with that “jackhammer”. Couldn’t rotate the tombstone reversal so they ended it with a barely executed chokeslam. Christ. How can you not take a proper chokeslam, everyone in my primary school knew how to take those on concrete haha.

It wasn't just Goldberg. I was thinking the Tombstone looked bad on first viewing and someone screenshot it...

Could've killed him. Piss off and retire Taker.

I thought he did. Tbh, moments before he dropped him i was legit thinking to myself, this feeds gonna cut away any second now because hes gonna break his neck.

Dont know what anyone was expecting, neither of them can wrestle anymore.

So you don't know what realistically means because this is not what it means. It's not the same as "do you think it's a good idea." I mean, having a realistic champion is probably a good idea, but they're not one and the same. Kevin Nash/Diesel was a realistic champion, but shit. If English isn't your first language then I'm sorry because I realise I might seem like a prick in that case.

If you think Kofi is a good Choice for WWE Champion, then good for you. I’d love to be so easily amused
Honestly I don’t really watch wrestling beyond going to my cousin’s to watch Mania/the Rumble if I’ve nothing else on. That and OSW/Wrestle Me podcast (which I really enjoy actually). But for this thread, I wouldn’t know kofi was still champion! This "easily amused" doesn't apply to me and besides is only an attempt to deflect or maybe insult (?) anyway, not substantive. But I'm sure it made you feel good.

Close the Tv. I want to watch him live once.:D
You dont though. How upsetting would be if you paid to watch wrestling live, paid to watch taker, and he came out stunk the place up like that for ya? Id be so upset.

Haha, not me. I want to have my been there, done that moment.:D

I think I just use my words more flexibly than you.

And on the contrary, it was actually more a compliment.

How's Goldberg expected to deliver a jackhammer, reverse into a tombstone attempt successfully after being tombstoned directly onto his head?

Anything Goldberg does after that tombstone is concussion affected. You can't say the same for Taker.

Kofi on the whole has been booked really strong , had good matches , some decent promos and has been winning. His win at mania was the high point of mania too. Just a shame Bryan got hurt and they rushed the KO turn. Would have been fun to see a slower turn from him.

He's been one of the only things I've followed via highlights.
