Was that a shot at HHH by Cody then?
These guys are talented but Christ these moves should be finishing matches. It’s ridiculous.
Completely cheapening bear falls and high impact moves.
Just what I was thinking. The moves are incredible but after 20-25 minutes and both still kicking out of everything, you're just rolling your eyes at that point. These guys are talented but Christ these moves should be finishing matches. It’s ridiculous.

Hang on a second, they have a bear?!These guys are talented but Christ these moves should be finishing matches. It’s ridiculous.

All in all about thrice as good as Wrestlemania.
A great day for wrestling. WWF was better with WCW making sure they had to put on a great show to keep people from changing the channel and pay their talent so they didn't appear on the other show. Now might not be a war, but its a great option with much better matches and more freedom for the wrestlers. And in time, years down the line, perhaps if WWE dont buck up their ideas there might be a day where it is a war. I fully expect that WWE will just improve, at long last.
The main WWE product needs to worry about the gulf in quality between NXT and it first. All in all about thrice as good as Wrestlemania.

It’s too early to say it’s a war or they ready yet that I agree with.
WWE produce countless hours of wrestling a week. Where as AEW is coming in fresh. The real challenge is when they have their own show and if they can keep the consistency and I doubt they can. Don’t get the fuss about Ambrose. Nobody cared for him in the past two years and his move set was pretty basic especially that annoying clothesline.
I agree. To the saame end if they can somehow convince JR to commentate on every show it will help them recreate the attitude era type atmosphere they seem to be going for.Agree, but at least he can do what hes good at now, acting like a prick and doing deathmatch stuff. He's not a very good wrestler and didnt fit into what WWE wanted him to be. But he looked like a badass tonight, which is something he can do a lot better in AEW. For the first time ever I'm looking forward to an Ambrose match :
Moxley Vs. Jimmy Havoc deathmatch
Well blading isn't banned in AEW. Probably should consider it given the state of Dusty right now. That's ridiculous.
Quite the opposite, IMO; I think Vince won't feel threatened by one PPV from a promotion that has yet to have its own regular show. Now, if the regular shows continue to get the same plaudits from said wrestlers, that's when he'd worry.Vince will be fookin fuming.

Bayley, Big E, Naomi, Anderson from what I saw. Probably more than that.Really strange how they gave Ambrose such a big farewell tour knowing his going to compete for a rival.
I hope Ambrose tones down the wackiness. I really enjoyed his character when Shield first entered the scene. He seemed much more calculated and positioned as the natural leader. High potential for him if AEW promote him
Right.
What WWE wrestles made comments about the show?

I reckon he's shitting his pants. It's not like the old days anymore. The audience is smarter, the competition is smarter and he won't be able to buy AEW out.
I really hope he is. If his ego doesn't really get in the way, it can mean good things for WWE in the future.I think Vince is under huge pressure at the moment, he’s got to deliver for FOX after agreeing a huge deal with them whilst AEW have just signed to a major network themselves.
AEW are offering things they don’t (health insurance mainly) and in the next 12 months he’s probably going to see a fair few from his roster jump ship.
Interesting times anyway, WWE need competition and from a fans prospective it can only be a good thing.
They didn't. They made Ambrose job around and take on B grade stars, whilst doing comedy sketches. I don't even think he got a Wrestlemania match? And if he did it was a comedy spin. I remember on Raw he was acting a bit like a clown in a womens segment. He was professional enough about what he had to do, but it was obvious WWE were trying their hardest to bring his stock down knowing where he's off to.
Any tribute was more to do with Sheild as a unit ceasing to exist.
Fair enough point about how he was being used on TV towards the end. You’re in fact spot on. I think I mean more so how they acknowledged his leaving and wished him well for the future. Ive never known them to do that for a wrestler leaving the company. Also the whole “will Seth & Roman convince him to stay”.
The next PPV, All Out, is in Chicago. If they got Punk it would be a big statement of intent.
