Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Still can't believe last night's winners! The feck Vince doing making sensible decisions!

The women's rumble was bloody awful. I get that most would be unsure what to do, never having been in a match like this so we got a ton of awkward moments, plus on top you've got a bunch of terrible wrestlers like Kelly Kelly in there but it was booked poorly too. Michelle McCool eliminated the most people, not Nia or Asuka. Felt bad for Becky, felt even worse for Bayley. At least we got hints of Sasha heel turn, which I hope they follow through on.

On the Rousey stuff, I really don't like it. I get they aren't going to put her on NXT given her profile but stick her in an exhibition match against someone like Steph with a ton of bells and whistles at Mania, not a championship match. She's going to barely be able to put on a match, and if it's one of her first matches you imagine she's going to win. Take your time, have her face other people while she learns to wrestle then have her challenge next year or something.

Awful is very harsh. I thought it was decent, yeah some awkward moments, a few failed spots but over all was decent with the right winner. With Paige and Fox getting injured late on I thought they recovered pretty well.

I have no problem with Ronda some would argue with her emergence a few years ago in MMA helped kick start the women's revolution. If Super models can become good wrestlers sure a former MMA fighter, who is a life long wrestling fan will have no trouble. Also think the women's division needs more star power and adds that. Putting in ring with Charlotte can only help her.

Sasha Banks doing air kicks on Lita was the low point of the PPV. Just ridiculous, I hate Sasha with a passion and Bayley. How they wasted not having Lita and Trish in the ring at the same time is lame although Miki Trish moment was good.
Do think it was weird to not have Rousey as 30, have her throw out Asuka, then have Asuka beat Bliss in the lead up then have Ronda beat Asuka to end that streak. Maybe it will be Asuka vs Ronda at Mania anyway as it was kind of unclear who Asuka chose or if she even has.
Special shout out to Nia, she is just incredible, she looked strong but she should have eliminated more than McCool. That Gorilla press, just incredible. I think I’ve developed a crush on Nia.

It isn't.

Asuka has that winning streak to maintain and that's why she was always the favourite imo.

Asuka is ridiculously protected, they played it well last night. I don't think we'll see Asuka vs Rousey until well after Wrestlemania, possibly at Survivor Series in a champion vs champion match.

So finally caught up with it. My thoughts:

AJ Styles is amazing. Pulled off some great stuff against Zayne and Owens. That hurricarana was

I liked that the Uso's won 2-0, made that match more unpredictable.

I really enjoyed the men's rumble. They had the RR tease, only to finally make the right decision as RR will face Brock regardless of Royal Rumble. Nakamura needed it more. Hoped to see Balor in the final two but still he did ok. Kofi springboarding back into the ring was out of a cartoon  Baron Corbin is such a loser  Rey Mysterio looked great, really good shape he's in. Hopefully he can save 205.

The 3 way monster match was ok but Kane struggled to keep up and was (as everyone predicted) there to take the pin, and he did. Made it very predictable.

The women's rumble was better than I had expected. Some old schoolers and current wrestlers facing it off was nice although I think it would have benefited from 20 instead of 30, makes it more tense because with 30, they will struggle in future years (unless they promote loads of women to the main roster). Who the hell is that Kairi Sane? So fecking hot!!!

Surprised Stephanie didn't get too involved but wonder how they'll go with Rousey? Seems like she'll be a heel with the handshake with Steph... hopefully there's no bad press coverage of her, don't want her to storm out like she did to the UFC.

As she should be. She's miles ahead of every other woman.

WWE just announced The Coach is coming back to be the 3rd commentator replacing Booker T. Cole, Graves and Coach now on Raw.

Heath Slater eliminating Sheamus was the highlight of the Rumble. Genuinely shocked me, and was hilarious.

Glad Shinsuke won it. Glad Asuka won the women's rumble too (managed to spoil that one for myself, but am watching it now).

Gonna miss Booker, gutted King was commentating on the rumble instead of him.

Also I marked out when Trish came, like a little boy who had crush on her. My mom was like "why are you screaming":D.

Damn it was tough to avoid sspoiler.

Asuka Ember showdown.
Kaira Sane and her picture perfect elbow drop, someone deserving should have eliminated her and not ducking Dana.

Sasha should turn full on heel, she was looking like an absolute asshole.

Just finished RR.

Must say I loved it.

Women's match IMO was more enthralling for me than men.

Also feck it, Nakamura vs Aj Style at Mania:drool:

Ronda vs Charlotte:drool:

I hope Bruan finally wins at Mania he deserves it.

There are rumours that Braun might be starting a fued with Triple H in the lead up to Wrestlemania.

Personally I hope he gets inserted into the Brock/Reigns match and that he walks out with the title. That would be completely unexpected and take the roof off the place.

All the booking so far makes it seem like it really should be Braun defeating Brock at WM for the title instead of Reigns. Its weird.
Also Braun had that lil face off with HHH so should be facing him soon.
But HHH pedigreed Angle at Survivor Series so surely they will face each other?
aghhh

Finn making final four was good. Its crazy what theyve done with Finn. First Universal champion after beating Reigns in a final cleanly to get there and beating rollins in the final. But when he returns from injury hes given pretty much nothing and a weird sister Abigal fued.
Then beats AJ suddenly and is red hot. Then gets squashed by Kane three weeks in a row.
Now all of a sudden Balor Club and starts Rumble and goes to final four.

Did we see the same match?? It was a nice match. Anyways opinions and assholes, so it is your opinion.

Completely disagree about Ronda, she is fecking money. To make her go and have a year at NXT or build a story is waste. She will get straight into the title scene because she is that big a name.

Think we were watching different matches.
Bizarre you're writing off her wrestling skills before she's even had a match. How do you know she'd barely be able to put on a match? She's signed a full time contract, how do you know mania is going to be her first match?

Chatting a lot of bollocks here my friend.

It isn't.

That winning streak will end against Rousey. Her actually having that streak damages the amount of storylines they can have. Like you just said the winner of the event was easy to predict and why she is always the favourite.
If you bring in Rousey it gives a credible name for Asuka to drop the streak to as right now the only person it could remotely be to get a clean win is Nia. Either that or someone gets an unclean victory over her.

I also can’t see Rousey going to Smackdown although out of everyone Asuka and Charlotte are the only people you would think would match the name.

Apparently Rousey has been training wrestling for 3 years now so she must have some basic understanding but to be honest I think they’ll put her on a contract like Brock and she’ll also be a squash merchant basically taking people down in seconds and slapping them in an arm bar end of match.

I meant a year on the main roster, there is no way she is going to be in NXT when they are likely paying her a lot. Have her have a heavily promoted match at Mania, follow it up with a few feuds throughout the year while she continues her training. Give her the Brock treatment where she's not on Raw every week so it keeps her special and maybe have her win the rumble next year or whatever.

Exactly, she hasn't had a match and hasn't been training long. It's not an easy thing to pick up and it takes most people a good few years just to get to a decent level. And I said one of her first matches, they are not going to overexpose her by having her wrestle on tv every week.

How long has she been training for exactly?

Yeah, you don't know.

I was expecting a cluster feck for the women’s rumble but I must say I really enjoyed it. Rest of the ppv was alright, nothing amazing but a good watch.

Broc knocking feck out of Braun was messed up, it’s actually the second time he’s done this after last years Rumble incident he should face disciplinary action but probably won’t.

I really wish they’d put Seth Rollins in a better spot. Along with Balor (had a good rumble match to be fair) they’re too good to be buried in the mid card.

So just watched Being The Elite

Golden Lovers and The Bucks faction...please please please

Genuinely nearly cried when Rey came out. It was like being 13 again.

Sashas 'kicks' to Lita still making me laugh. But glad they are giving her back more heel elements. Needs a full on turn.

Only a matter of time before the give Braun the title. It's rear and refreshing, that a superstar is over with the fans and Vince actually likes.

Liked the Rumble a lot overall - I even liked both title matches for what they were - especially the 3 Way (Bruan and Lesnar trying to legitimately give each other concussions was a particular highlight) , which really surprised me.

Both Rumble matches were booked excellently, from the comedy spot with Heath, to Kofi's spot (he's not getting enough credit for that insane vertical leap), to all the women surprises, to Ember Moon's selling to the final four and the eventual winner(s) - just very good overall.

However, nothing could top Gargano vs. Almas from NXT Takeover... which isn't just the best NXT match ever, or the best WWE match for however many years... but also the best match period in many years (yes, even over Okada/Omega).
