This is the turning point...

Whats in your bones then is it calcium? Because everyone has it and has at least dreamed of it

Turning point to go where? I'm afraid when you are lost, every turning point may lead you further from your destination.

More like a plaster over obvious cracks than a real turning point

I want to believe in Ten Hag, I like what he stands for and I like a lot of what he says but even with the injury and other issues he has had to deal with I am finding it hard to convince myself that we are seeing any real progression here. I don't want him sacked at all, that would just be another move to suggest that we have a great and balanced squad of players and all it needs is the perfect tactician to put it all together and that is clearly not the issue. I am however struggling to put what Ten Hag says, and what we see on the pitch together because it doesn't really seem to fit so far.

Did he buy Mount thinking that he would work in a three with Casemiro and Bruno and then realise he was wrong? Is Bruno being pushed out to the right so that he can continue with a failed experiment? Turning point or not, this season will probably turn around when he is forced once again to abandon any plans of implementing his style of play and ends up going counter attack and relying on Bruno and Rashford again . . . . or failing to get the two main producers to fire will ultimately lead to another sacking.

I guess its possible that this game might light a fire under the asses of a few players, but I doubt there is really any threat that he will drop people to start the likes of McTomminay anyway. More likely that the idea of outliving the manager and getting another fresh start for those that reached the mighty heights of second in the league will gain momentum.

We shall see. Win the next 3 (at least the next 2 and then go on some sort of run after City) and maybe we will see some green shoots of recovery.

Pleased we turned the game yesterday...but it still feels like we are a bang average side playing below average football.

Too many underperforming, too many not good enough and a lack of confidence and belief.

Hopefully this will be some sort of catalyst....but I'm not sure there's enough here to get excited about.

I believe in ETH. If he can just squeeze through this tough patch I really believe he is the best man we have to do the job. If he fails , it’s mostly because of our broken club.

I really think alot of the fanbase don’t understand how toxic United is to work at, for players and managers.

He will pick Bruno and Rashford to start again. Hecwill shoehorn Mount Casemiro and Amrabat in somewhere. Onana will start, so it will be the same old shit again. We were lucky to win yesterday and the last assist and goal wouldnt have happened without our injuries.

The win is just papering over cracks. Remember when someone said we have easy fixtures now and we have already lost 2 of those easy games and won the last game in 90+ minute.

we better hope there are some significant returns from injury to the defense before we play city. if we get spanked, I fear this team will put their heads down yet again and lose games. We shouldn’t right after.

We say this but we've been spanked for 6 and 7 by City and Liverpool with first choice CB pairings.

If we are sticking with ETH, and let's face it, changing right now doesn't achieve a huge amount, then we need to keep working hard at this new system and becoming more compact.

Whether it's Martinez/Varane, Varane/Maguire, Martinez/Maguire or whatever...we'll get tanked if we're wide open and allowing opponents to get behind our midfield time and time again

We are slowly getting players back. Just need to get the defenders back and I am sure a winning run is coming.

We need runners in midfield ..
I don't care if they are Europeon champions or world champions.. if they cannot run, they cannot start..
I would start Hannibal next game in place of Casemiro

I think it could be a turning point in a psychological sense. Quality wise the players are good, the problem is they seem very fragile and hopefully a wim in this style can galvanise them.

The issue is the personnel that did the turning (Maguire assist, McTom goal) have next to zero chance of being in a team that wins major honours.

It would of been better if Hojlund or Rashford grabbed the winner.

But lets not put a downer on a good little memory.

Fluke win that doesn't change the fact that we're an awful football team with a huge injury crisis, and a manager whose job security is questionable.
United fans love false dawns.

Ten Hag got out of jail yesterday and he knows it. We were awful for most of the game, if he thinks that was a turning point then heaven help us as he is now relying on emotion to rectify the shambles that is on the pitch. I was all for giving Ten Hag until the end of the season at least but if he is gone by xmas I would be happy.

Well even if it isn't a turning point, if there ever was to be a moment to turn our season around, it would be that one.

I wasn't at OT for the game but from what I have heard, it's the loudest it's been in a while. The crowd felt that moment.

For all the talk of the team collapsing after going down a goal, the talk of a 'lack of mentality', the team needed that and we as fans needed that. Proper fergie time moment!

The players/manager needs to use that now and even convince themselves it's a spark to turn things around.

It very much might be a turning point, not just because of that win, but because of combination of that win and higher morale because of it, then international break which will allow us to have some important players back and actual left back. It just has to be a turning point. Otherwise Erik is gone, I don't want him to be but it is what it is.

Ffs when people see how much City is worse without only two of their important players and then start moaning how we can't play good enough when we literally have our whole defense injured and more players on top of that, it boggles my mind how shortsighted some fans can be.
