Thiago Alc*ntara | Retires

Is it really necessary to talk about Henderson as if he's a non-league player? He's been a very good player for Liverpool.
Yes because he’s painfully average. His status has been elevated due to red hot forwards, a defence capable of playing a high line, and a system that gets the best out of these facets. If Klopp hadn’t have come to Liverpool, he’d be plying his trade with Stoke or probably back at Sunderland.

For me, Henderson is everything Maguire is not - so I don't agree with United fans talking down Henderson after possibly feeling the symptoms of a poor captain.

Maguire being crap has nothing to do with Henderson being crap. Both can be crap for different reasons. The two aren’t linked. (Although I would say he’s just average rather than crap).

What’s the verdict on him then? His unbeaten run alongside Fabinho (?) seemed like one of those obscure stats in the beginning and he seemed a really poor fit for Liverpool, but most of the time I see him now he’s one of the best players on the pitch. Is he back to being one of the best midfielders around?

Henderson may be average skillwise. But he is disciplined and tactically much aware especially under Klopp, compared to Maguire, who seems to have lost his footballing brain.

He was a first team midfielder for Liverpool when they won their first Premier League title and a Champions League. They dominated teams with him in midfield.

I really do not get how he can be rated so lowly. He is a very good passer of the ball. He was very good at winning the ball back. A massively underrated player.

Thought he was really good today. Needs to stay fit if we want to keep up with City in the league.

Yep

The same as Fabinho or Bernardo or Mahrez or whomever. Took him awhile to adapt to the English game (a little longer with the added injuries) but he's an absolute baller and for 3/4 of this season so far he's been brilliant. The real Thiago has landed.

The 'real' Thiago has been doing his thing all season but he has just landed for those that just noticed. :)

He was slow to get going but he's back to his Bayern form now unfortunately. Been terrific for those cnuts recently.

I did say 3/4 of the season. I don't think he was great first 2 months but I didn't see that much of you guys to be honest those months.

Yeah missing out on VVD, Fabinho & Thiago due to the clowns running this club is hard to stomach

On his day he's such a joy to watch.
I'm so happy he can finally show the Liverpool fans and the whole league what he's really capable of.

Such a brilliantly naturally gifted player. Elegant player.

The way he passes dribbles and moves is football porn.

The closest thing to Xavi or Modric when he’s on form. Unreal variety of passes + control of the game.

Fergie you made a monumental mistake appointing that Scottish clown as your successor because turning him down was ridiculous

We made some geezer who plays for Watford called Loser look good. Carragher ejaculating every time he took a touch was unbearable

 The commentary on his miss from the weekend is fantastic.

:D
Arguably his best game in a Liverpool shirt…. Ouch that hurt.

Actually, he was rubbish. 0 goals and 0 assists, and in our modern parlance, that means he did nothing, ghosted, flopped, vanished etc. That's how we judge performances nowadays, right? :D

He’s going to push them towards the quadruple. It’s just our luck that the first major feck up of the post Fergie era will come back to haunt us.
