Television The X Factor 2011

"And when I went back to Wales, it was like, *adopts look of despair* - oh my God, back to reality."

feck off, you ungrateful cnut! I love how these idiots think that making the last 16 of some stupid TV show qualifies them to look down on where they come from. This one is just a ghastly karaoke singer.

There's something very weird about Kelly Roland referring to a 16 year old girl as 'momma'.

But it is Wales ;)

To go...

It should be 2 Shoes - and I think it will be.
It should be James - and I think it will be.
It should be Jonny - but it'll be Jonjo.
It should be Amelia - but who knows? Maybe Sophie?

I think James has been shafted, hence a nervous performance last night.

He isn't the greatest vocalist, but I like his voice - loved his first audition. He's a bit different, and he's better than that prat Frankie who appears to be teacher's pet despite being a vile little specimen who seems to speak more than he sings.

Johnny was given the most ridiculous song to sing, that wasn't his style at all.

I think they should choose their own song on the first night.

I think it's shit that they are all losing one tonight. It's harsh on the u24s as the weakest in these categories are still stronger than a lot of the groups/overs. It's far too early to be getting rid of one of the 4 girls. Last year's format was better.

I think this is the most bland group of finalists in years. Was underwhelmed by pretty much everyone. I'll still find myself watching it every week though

Agree, one of the girls and one of the boys will go ahead of Jonny and Kitty tonight. Very unfair.

P.s. Does Jonjo add a "jo" onto his name so he has the word "jo-kerr" in it? He should go for that alone.

Not that I'll be listening to any of his stuff if he wins, but there'd be a fecking riot if he was booted off.

Frankie can't even sing. His song choice was so obvious as he could whisper his way through it. Can you imagine him on big band week? They didn't have it last year but he is so linear and one dimensional he shouldn't be in the competition. We all know why he is, though.

The fact that they went on about his looks more than his actual singing should say something. John was a far stronger candidate in the Judges Houses round yet Frankie made it through to keep the squealing fangirls on board.

Why? By who?

He's getting hyped up and people, mainly kids, are being manipulated to like him.

This is the worst XF for manipulation imo.

Well I've just watched last night's - mainly on fast forward.
What a load of crap it is, really. The US version is so far ahead of ours it's unreal.
Poor James has been well and truly shafted with his song, could he not have been given something a bit more current?

And Frankie, dear God, Frankie, where to start ? I think I loathe him as much as Kitty.
Personally I don't find him even remotely nice looking - he's as rough as a badger

I was rather hoping that hydraulic lift would keep rising and Kitty would be squashed in the lights

she was dreadful last night and killed the song , but she wont be kicked out , she is this years Jedward.
She gives X Factor what it wants , lots and lots of press coverage.
Even when it becomes a public vote and the judges have to pick who of the last 2 go , she will still stay.

But is that not who is doing most of the voting , or should I say teenage girls.
They love him and will vote in there millions for him

Because they've been manipulated into it. Or brainwashed. He's getting hyped up by the judges, without which the kids wouldn't give a stuff about him.

I think One Direction had genuine appeal for kids. This prat doesn't.

And I don't think it is mainly kids who vote, even if they're a big chunk of it. That's why Matt Cardle won last year, with Rebecca second, whilst 1D only managed third.

Prat is the right word. What a smackable face, but it's obvious Gary loves him.
So much for genuine talent!

And surely if it was teenage girls voting, they would rather have James surely?

Think that Ameilia lass has probably got the best voice in the comp, especially as shes only 16. She was given such a poor song to show it off. Surprised they didn't give her a Christina Agulera song, but then that would of been obvious.

Millions of fangirls, I imagine. And anyway, who cares...when I look back at the tweeny-bopper rubbish I used to obssess over as a kid, it's embarrassing but that's yoof for ya. They'll soon grow out of like we all do. The X Factor has never been capable of or even particularly bothered about finding a genuine artist. It's a soap opera engineered to make everyone involved a lot of money.

I say, let them have their Frankie and just carry on voting for your favourite. They'll all have fallen off my radar by the New Year anyway.

Kelly Rowland's decision is by far the hardest as all 4 of her girls could make the final 8 or so whereas the others are all carrying at least one act.
