Didn't make it through boot camp.
It's been on a few times already, looks very similar to the UK one too
Have been watching the US version and while the talent is on another level, almost everyone involved is really fecking annoying. Judges and wannabes alike.
I reckon this twist that they will swap the judges groups round at the last minute.
Also, not happy that Terry Winstanley didn't get through...

Simon and LA Reid aren't the least bit annoying. Cheryl Cole and Nicole might be annoying but they are cute so its a push.
In the early rounds they deliberately cut the footage to make the contestants look like bellends. The talent level is pretty high though, god knows how they will get down to 32.

Yeah, spose I was a bit harsh. I do like Nicole and Paula is a legend. I just don't like all the fakeness.
It's on in Ireland already on froday nights. I actully enjoy it. LA Reid is quite possibly the coolest fecking man since Sammy L Jackson in Pulp Fiction. When he get's into a tune and starts body popping/twitching (not sure which) it is so funny.

Can't help but think some of these acts have been put thru for appearance rather than talent

I think it's easy to criticise the X-Factor for things like this but the reality is that ugly people don't sell records. There are, of course, the odd exceptions but they're few and far between.
Unless they write cracking tunes. Yes, that John guy had a make over and was a better singer than Frankie but was boring. If neither of them are going to write their own material, I might as well get to look at a cutie with a bit of personality.
And as an aside...

I remember Rik Waller making a "celebrity" appearance at a club in Maidstone (Kent, England) about 10 years ago. It was Xmas time and they were handing out free mince pies as you walked in. The poor guy got absolutely pelted with hundreds of mince pies as he walked up onto the stage. He also got a chorus of "who ate all the pies?"
