Massive Spanner
The Football Wrench
I'm going to wait and do the expansion and then do the game on highest difficulty afterwards, I think.
I'm thinking of starting again as well. What difficulty are you playing? I'm considering the highest one.
Exploring is the key. I used to wonder where the hell I'm going to find enough swallows to be able to replenish health at will and as you keep playing and exploring you stack up wayyy more Dwarven Spirit than you ever need.Yeah I'm playing on death march, only way to play games. I actually haven't completed it before, got to eredin, got whooped over and over, had a break from it, went to fight him again and couldn't remember the controls so just started it again anyway I only started recently but I'm already hooked again!
Still think it lacks a few things, its told me to make swallow so now I'm strutting about trying to find a drowner brain which isn't easy and can I hell remember where I find dwarvern spirit. All part of exploring I suppose. I also can't remember what decisions I made first time through :/ think I was generally kind, I may be more a bastard this time round.
Makes sense for me to also play the game again only when I have both DLC's installed.I've been playing it again on death march, but going to abandon it and play the new dlc using my original save then start another new game plus on death march with a fully upgraded Geralt from both dlc's.
Death march isn't that hard but it can feel a bit random at times. I can take four or five hits from a boss monster several levels above me, but go down in one hit from a bandit with a club several levels below me even when I have quen activated.
Have no idea what this is, sadly. Are you guys doing the New Game+ on your deathmarch runs? It makes it a lot easier.
Once you complete the base game, you have the option of doing New Game+, which is basically redoing the whole game from whatever level you finished at, with that armour and sign build, and everything else scales from there upwards. So for instance, the very first drowners and wolves you come across will be at level 32 or so, and it goes upwards from there.Have no idea what this is, sadly.
It should survive just so as long as don't start calling her Yennefer or Triss.Started playing this. It's not good for my relationship
The music of this game is just wonderful. Possibly the best ever in this regard?
Cheers. To be honest, I'd rather go through the whole leveling-up learning curve.Once you complete the base game, you have the option of doing New Game+, which is basically redoing the whole game from whatever level you finished at, with that armour and sign build, and everything else scales from there upwards. It's basically just replaying the game without the fuss of having to regrind for all of your armour/gear and class build.
Whoah. In that case, given I want to start again on the highest difficulty, I guess I'm going go down the following route:You need to be a pretty high level to do HoS. 40+ if I remember right. Other than that you can play it any time, but probably best played after the main game. Hearts of Stone alone is as big as many full games. It's a full stand alone story that took me 20+ hours to finish and I don't think I even did everything in it. It does add some things to the world, like a group of people with a shop, a very specific merchant and some new gwent cards.
You don't need to be level 40 for HoS. I started it the other week and it was recommended level 32-34 I think.Cheers. To be honest, I'd rather go through the whole leveling-up learning curve.

Witcher 3 (death march mode)>HOS>B&W
Makes sense? I have no idea whether your character needs to be a certain level for B&W.
I've actually completed the game. But want to play it on a higher difficulty, so I'm thinking why not just start on Death March from level 1, do it all again, and then play the two DLC's together in June. You don't need to be level 40 for HoS. I started it the other week and it was recommended level 32-34 I think.
Also once you start doing some of the end story missions for the main game you end up gaining extremely high amounts of xp for completing them. I think I ended up going from 25 to 29-30 in one or two nights by just doing a couple of the final quests

Even better if the headphones do some form of surround sound. The noises all around you in the forests is unreal.Started this again on Death March (without NG+) and it's testament to just how good a game it is that I'm loving my second play through every bit as much as the first, so far. In fact, I think this is the difficulty it should be played at. The world is one heck of a dangerous place when everyone is a level or 5 above you.
Also - recommend playing it on headphones as well as the music has an even bigger impact.
Yeah, I've got these new headphones that have it, and it's fantastic.Even better if the headphones do some form of surround sound. The noises all around you in the forests is unreal.
I've abandoned my NG+ Death March play through in favour of starting the whole lot again after I've done B&W. Just been trying to get some cash and get to level 39 on my original save that's just after finishing the main game and Hearts of Steel. Problem is I'm on level 37 and need to be level 39 to use the HoS gear, all my quests are way, way below my level so I can't level up.
There's an entire set to be found in White Orchard if I remember right. It's pretty good for the early game too. There's a crypt with a wraith that's north of the main village has some of the diagrams to get the quest started.Yeah, I've got these new headphones that have it, and it's fantastic.
I didn't use the Witcher Gear enough in my first playthrough. So one of the aims is to make sure I get those early enough.
And of course to play HOS (haven't yet) when I get to the 30-32 mark.
Its practically a new game isn't.
Cannot wait, even though I am still yet to finish hearts of stone yet.
Drowners outside the window.Started NG+. One annoying thing is the skill tree, about 60 skill points to use but still only 12 slots available.
I think in NG+ you should get an extra 3 or 6 slots to get some crazy builds going.
CDPR released this too today since Witcher 3 was released one year ago today...
Fecking horse in the top right...
There's a few people from the earlier games there. Foltest and Iorveth are in there too.Drowners outside the window.
Isn't that Saskia with the head band next to Roche and Ves? Does she even appear in The Witcher 3? If so I completely missed that. Same for Iorveth bottom left behind the pillar. Maybe it depends on your Witcher 2 save?
How does this look/run on Xbox One? I'm extremely tempted to buy it right now.
Edit: Just found it for £19 on ShopTo so I've bought it
That's a steal for this game. I'd happily pay £100 for it.

Okay, this Iris's Greatest Fear boss can feck off. I got every boss so far on the first try, even the Frog Prince which I've seen people complaining about. But this one is getting on my nerves...
