Not seeing anywhere near the degree of bugs others are complaining of, Just landed in skellige isles at lvl 19. fantastic game.
To those that have completed the game I just finished the quest "Missing Persons" how far am I from the end of the main story? I've really enjoyed it but it is feeling like I've been playing a long time.
Once you've met with Yen and finished her side quest, finished the side quests for Hjagmar and Cerys, and then found Uma, you're at the stage where the game will just be main plot for the next 10-ish hours and then you're done.
Shit yeah, I guess you're right. 15-20 hours is probably right. There's a lot more than 10 hours of main plot left after that mission! Unless I'm not reading correctly.

Battle of Kaer Morhen
Kill one of Wild Hunt + crones
Stuff in Novigrad with Yen, Ciri, Avallac'h, Philippa
Stuff in Skellige with Yen, Ciri, Emhyr etc
Final battle?
I think it's a main story mission, you cannot progress the story without Baron's input (they were essential for me in knowing where to go next as I'd finished two of the other main stories in Velen first, the one from Keira and Croockbag Bog which are in a way connected with Baron's story, especially the latter) from what I remember and I've only finished it a couple days ago.The Baron quest could be the entire storyline for another game and it's only a side-quest, albeit a substantial one.
South east? Nilfgaard military camp. Though if only east then thats Oxenfurt.I think it's a main story mission, you cannot progress the story without Baron's input (they were essential for me in knowing where to go next as I'd finished two of the other main stories in Velen first, the one from Keira and Croockbag Bog which are in a way connected with Baron's story, especially the latter) from what I remember and I've only finished it a couple days ago.
I am supposed to go to Novigrad now and then head off to Skellige. Haven't been to Novigrad yet at all so the sight of it will probably take my breath away at first I'm taking it slow though, still some side quests and contracts to finish, I reckon 5-6 hours before I progress the main quest.
What's the large city at the east end of map? The huge one with regular map.
Yeah, south east, quite some distance from Nilfgaard and Oxenfurt.South east? Nilfgaard military camp. Though if only east then thats Oxenfurt.
It's not particularly hard, unless your deck is shit? Where you at in the game?
Yes, unless you're challenging difficult opponents.
Make sure you buy cards off merchants and innkeepers.
Once you get a few cards it's really easy to win more or less every game. I've not lost for ages now with my Nilfgaard deck.
So, I'm not really into 'magic' type games. But I enjoy story/fighting games. Will I enjoy this? What's the split, is it more magic-y or more emphasis on story?
It's very heavy on story. Heavy on fighting, heavy on magic, heavy on awesomeness and heavy on virtual boobs and bums.
It's not possible to hate Witcher 3. I'm not a huge fan of RPGs or fantasy but it's pulled me in big time, more so than any other game, possibly ever.Hmmm, I'm tempted to buy it in the PS store but have a bad feeling I'll hate it. I read somewhere that the character can be whatever you want (good or bad), is that true?
Edit: Ah feck it. I bought it, and is downloading.
Only had one crash so far on pc and that was only when I alt-tabbed while it was loading a save. It's a very stable game for me, came accross my first bug today.. A secret wall that won't open, luckily they've apparently already patched it so it is no longer needed to get in there for the main questline.
Yeah, think it's an nvidia issue, happening to me and many others with a GTX 970.Anyone on PC noticing the game crashing a lot more since the new patch?
Its always been OK for me but now I'm crashing around every 30 mins
There's very few black and white choices in the game, if any. It's nothing like BioWare RPGs.Hmmm, I'm tempted to buy it in the PS store but have a bad feeling I'll hate it. I read somewhere that the character can be whatever you want (good or bad), is that true?

Happened to me first time round, does it involve a torch on the wall? It glows red but nothing happens when you interact?
That's the one, hope there was nothing too good inside!
