Gaming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Finally heading to Skellige

I just headed there at level 13... Only seen the first person I needed to. Found a nest of some sort and started to destroy it when some motherfecker dived down from the sky and attacked me. Easy enough to take down even though it was level 19.

It's telling me to look for the ship's captain but there's no marker and I can't find him in the Golden Sturgeon.

Damn, that's really disheartening. It's not possible to get to Skellige manually, is it? 1.04 is out on PC so I assume PS/Xbone will be out sometime soon.

Do you have any manual save files, or even checkpoint saves prior? Try loading one up and see if they're glitched too.

Yeah I went back to an older save and same thing. Person in that thread I found said they went back 2 hours and still same thing.

You took to long to go to Skellige, Captain was like "feck it, I'm out".

Bought it yesterday, started today. My word this game is pretty. Geralts face in particular is much less annoying now.

I'm playing 2 first so I know what's going on when I start 3. I originally was going to just try and finish it as soon as possible, skipping all the side quests but I'm loving it so much I've done every single quest so far. Half way through chapter 2 at the moment.

I really didn't like it at all when I started it, probably because I was really shit and was a bit overwhelmed with all the items but I'm used to everything now. If 2 is this good I can only imagine how good 3 is going to be. Can't wait to play it now.

What quest is it that's bugged (not the XP bug)? I saw it somewhere and thought I'm reasonably close, but cannot recall the name or find it again...
It's called "The King's Gambit". It's a side quest in Skellige, but it's one of those side quests which affect the main story later on apparently.

I am devastated. Game has stopped working. When I go to launch it brings up a black fullscreen and an immediate CTD. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and one or two other small measures I managed to find on google but nothing's working. This has fecked me up big time, I need this game to make staying in this weekend feasible.

I'm really glad I'm playing this game at a slow pace with all of the bugs emerging. It's going to continue that way for me until the patching starts.

Hopefully it resolves all your issues.

I saw on reddit that next weeks DLC will be one (what can only be assumed as a quest) called Fools Gold and some sort of Gwent Expansion. So there's some good news for you all. Personally I find it boring as feck.

Uninstall the game, disconnect from internet, re-install, and see if that helps. If not, then connect back to the internet and download the patches again.

I looked at the patch changes list and it didn't say it had fixed this one though.

Yeah I read that earlier. Doesn't say they fixed the Destination: Skellige quest.

Just got stuck in a bog, couldn't get out at all. It's as if it was deep enough for swimming mode.

There's a level 32 bird flying around a place called bald mountain which I can't get to yet.

People on forums complaining that the new patch has generated new bugs and some claim XP bug has not been fixed at all

As good as the game potentially could be, it seems the developers are losing the war vs the bugs. For every 10 issues they claim to fix in patch x, 20 new bugs seem to spawn.

A mess.

Some harrowing quests in this game .Bloody Baron and Ladies of The Wood comes to mind.

Just got this. Finding it really buggy. Not sure if I need an update or something (PS4).

It's a pain in the arse, even just hitting X interact with someone doesn't work half the time. I have to be bang on facing them at a certain angle. Is that normal?

Also, Roche moves erratically without me pressing anything. He moves constantly left or right in a circle. I can't just stand still and look around without him wheeling round. Maybe a controller issue? Anyone else experienced this? Ruining it for me so far.

It's nothing compared to the state Skyrim was in. Shame though, the devs delayed it numerous times to try and make it perfect but a game of this scale was always going to have issues.

It's such a great game but I can't ignore the fact that I've literally had to stop playing now until they release a fix. I just hope it's not too long.

I think I've been lucky so far, worst bugs I've had are once getting stuck in a giant puddle and a main quest that won't dissapear from my list.

You just force yourself to get used to it, and you actually do after many hours
