Gaming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I've just done the quest with the grave hag. God this game is dark, and I love it. Horrible thing it was.

@DatIrishFella
Just arrived back at Novigrad. Any main side quests that we have to do here that influence the main story? I think it's just Triss' and Roche's stuff. The radovid plot is post-Kaer Morhen, right?

Bloody Baron
I've done the questline up until I bury his miscarried child and follow it around as a guardian spirit. Dark as feck. The model for the bloody thing. Amazing game

Aye. Just fyi, a certain side quest for Cleaver that can void the main quest "Get Junior". Make sure you do that first, because I found out where Djikstra's treasure is an that, also, let Triss get tortured when you visit the Church.

Oh shite, I think I left that one first time around. I also didn't let them touch Triss, even though I knew the game wouldn't let anything bad happen to her really. I also just realised, when you save Philippa, I broke Djikstra's other leg and as a result the Radovid plot disappeared. No wonder it wasn't there for me.

Literally just drowned because he wouldn't go back up to the surface properly.

Another annoying thing is, markers on the map, when you have completed say a nest or collected the guarded treasure, could they not change the sign a different colour to show it is completed?

Have you brewed a Killer Whale potion @Solius ? I've never had an issue with swimming but that increases your stamina by a lot apparently.

They change to grey. Maybe check your gamma?

Anything with water is disappointing, even the boats. One time I was infuriated that I could not find any anchor icons to fast travel and spent an eternity getting to some dammed island only to realized I had turned the anchor icons off earlier because they crowded the map!

Nah. It's fine now anyway I got all the sunken treasure.

I've spent the night just going through all the question marks on my map in Velen. There's so many and sometimes the marker doesn't grey out even though I've done everything there, which drives me mad.

The swimming mechanics are infuriating.
Yeah, swimming is fecking terrible. Especially if you're trying to swim around a ledge, keeps either going too far or swimming directly into the wall.

They should change to grey, but there's a few bugged ones.

Me too, some hidden treasure in a sunken boat. Took him forever to get inside the fecking thing, I should have known it'd be impossible to get back out.

Same, there's two on my map now which I've done but keep attracting my attention as everything else around them is grey.

My play time, 4 days and 21 hours
Jaysus, you must surely be near the end now?
The swimming mechanics are infuriating.
yeah, worst thing in the game for me, Roach being a distant second.

The game is just huge, playing for an hour or two at a time in the evenings just isn't enough, really need to dedicate full days to the game, seeing as even side quests take ages!

Question - if I knew of someone who had 'obtained' a copy of the game for now but was going to open his/her wallet on payday to acquire it through less nefarious means, would their saved games be transferable? It'd be an awful pain with the answer being no, what with the hours already spent grafting through White Orchard and Velen.

Yes, if you have the version from GoG (which you probably do) then it'll be fine as it's DRM free.

I despicably acquired it the same way but when I got my new graphics card it had a free copy so I just activated on GoG, you can keep playing and updating the exact same install.

I do indeed. How much was the graphics card? That's a nice deal.

Cheers!

For non-oirish scale - I picked it up for £280 on Ebuyer.

Make sure you go for the MSI edition with the twin fans.
Yeah that's what I got, it's beautiful, and even when the game is running there's very little noise.

It is massive though, make sure you've a decent sized case.

I'm still waiting fir the patch to fix my bugged quest....I can't continue with the main storyline at the moment. It's been bugged for over a week and the patch isn't even on PC yet so PS will then have to wait maybe 4-5 days after that as well so yeah it's going to be 2 weeks with a broken game.

It's annoying but I've been doing a ton of side content and some of the quests are really worth doing so I'm not that frustrated, it's a really great game.

It doesn't even fit my case, I have to have it partially open

I've still not gone to Skellige. I refuse to go until I hit at least level 20.

Exactly the same problem here. Except I'm close to running out of sidequests to do at this point.

fecking love the game.

Still cant win a game of Gwent though, am i that shit?

Even a speed run through Novigrad immerses me. Absolutely amazing region design.

Am I gunna upset Yen if I sleep with everyone else possible while we are apart?

I don't wanna upset Yen... and this is probably a stupid question...

You can only sleep with one of Yen and Triss. Rest all is fair game.

What quest is it that's bugged (not the XP bug)? I saw it somewhere and thought I'm reasonably close, but cannot recall the name or find it again...

@DatIrishFella
Is the Radovid side quest: Redania's most wanted mandatory to further the assassination plot?

No idea, because it includes Phillipa I did it just in case. You also get a megascope gem at the end that you can either give to Radovid or Triss I believe.
Yeah I'll probably do the same just in case. Cheers. I gave it to Triss first time around, did you/do you know what happens if you give it to Radovid?

Edit; just googled. No difference, Radovid just gives you money if you give it to him.
